Apparently this place has been open since February but I never knew until flags and signs were posted on 175 (aka Annapolis Road) telling of this place. I pass this area multiple times and never knew this place was back there. So maybe with Yelp more of you will discover this place. The place is very new and very clean with an open area for performances. Remember this is owned by a church so no twerking. Well maybe a little. I went with a fish (whiting) platter that comes with a choice of two sides and a drink. On this day I went with the unusual combination red beans and rice along with mac n cheese. The platter comes with three fish and trust me the mac n cheese is no out of the box stuff. The red beans and rice was good but it had a bit of sweetness to it. Still it was good with plenty of bits of sausage in it. One thing I noticed is that the platter came with no bread. For some of you it will not be a big deal but for me it is a staple in fish dinners..........along with hot sauce. The fish was good and cooked once I ordered but I think it could have used more seasoning. Not a bad place and it offers a little extra diversity here in Odenton. If you get an urge to grab some food from here don't come on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday as they are closed.

On my first visit, I popped in to grab a bite before a meeting to prevent hanger from setting in. I ordered the fish sandwich and it comes with fries. Now being fond of fish I know fresh fish when I am served it. I truly believe that this was last night's fish warmed up for me. Oh how I longed for that sizzling pant that freshly fried fish embodies. On this occasion I think a lil microwave magic occurred. Hold on while I bow my head in sadness. Ok, I'm back. I get it, you can't just throw away food if business is slow but you're guaranteed to lose a customer serving leftovers and hoping they just go along with it. First impressions are fragile as they can make or break a person's decision to patronize an establishment again. This wasn't a terrible visit but given that they are new and making adjustments I may go again but fish won't be my choice. The portion was respectable and the server was very accommodating. Parking is plentiful and they have free wi-fi for customers. They have a huge projection screen tv to watch as you dine. It's a little confusing when you initially walk in and want to order to go. There are no counters so you'll just have to just get someone's attention or be seated and wait.

I had 2 children enrolled for the past 2 years and have been blessed to interact with all the staff in the different programs from Nido to Childrens House. Staff go out of their way to assist with difficult transitions and they even show up to birthday parties when invited! I was a sceptic of the Montessori based curriculum but after seeing my kids make huge progress, love learning and teaching us things they learned, and really THRIVE, I am an avid believer. I've noticed a few negative reviews here from frustrated parents, which is unfortunate. While I…read morecan't speak to every individual situation, I do want to share that our experience at Primeron has been one of the VERY BEST we could have ever hoped for. In particular, the director, Kaela, has been responsive, approachable, and genuinely invested in building strong relationships with families. She has taken the time to listen to concerns, make herself available when needed, and even helped establish a parent partnership group (similar to a PTO), which has been a meaningful way for families to stay engaged and connected. Like any organization, occasional issues may arise, but in our experience, the leadership team has handled matters professionally and with care. Some concerns (such as those related to voucher programs) may be tied to broader administrative systems rather than the on-site leadership. I have great relationships with many family members, and have never had issues making my payments, via the Daycare Family Works app. We can tell that Kaela and the leadership team prioritize and value family partnerships: this is why they have connected parents together through family days, created summer camps, spirit weeks, and a parent partnership group. I plan to be a part of the Primeron family until my child ages out! Overall, we feel supported, valued, and confident in the care our child receives. We appreciate the dedication of the staff and leadership team and are grateful to be part of this community.

I will start by saying that the teachers and staff are absolutely amazing. They were incredibly…read morekind and worked well with both of our children. We had them enrolled in the Primeron for almost two years and never had a bad teacher. The rating is purely for the administration. Before the Primeron got acquired by Cadence Education, we never had any issues with the administration. We used a military subsidy and the director and assist director were always very transparent and helpful. After the acquisition, there was a change in directors and at the end was Kaela. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional director in all the schools my children have been in. Maybe she didn't agree with how the center was run prior to her arrival but saying to a parent that they were "lied on" and that the old admin "played in your face" is completely unacceptable. My main issue was when we unenrolled our youngest. Our subsidy payments were always late and as such we usually got back paid. Not an issue except when we unenrolled and had to get the credit refunded to us. I originally asked the assistant director to get our refund in the form of a check instead of original form of payment. This was because the original form of payment was a paid off credit card. We were informed only the director could initiate the refund as a check. It took weeks for us actually speak to the director as emails were not replied to and she was supposedly never in when we call. It took even longer to receive this refund and at the end, it was refunded to the paid off credit card instead of as a check like we asked. There was also disagreement and confusion as to what the refund amount was. We were different numbers from the subsidy, the admin at the Primeron, as well as a different number than what showed on our online account portal. While there was confusion and while we acknowledged that this was not anyone's fault, the director accused us of looking for more money than we were owed. We repeatedly informed her that there would be another subsidy payment and that was the reason the number we had was higher (we did not know that it had not been sent at the time). I asked that they informed us when this payment came through. All of that happened in September of 2025. Come February 2026, I called to get tax information. It was a surprise when we got our account summary and saw that we had an account credit of $1000. As it turns out, the Primeron had received the final subsidy payment in December of 2025 but made no attempt to let us know. Had we not asked for our tax information I doubt we would have ever found out. Through this process I asked to speak to a higher up, such as an area or regional manager, since the director barely returned emails or phone calls. This request was repeatedly ignored. Throughout emails, she only ever addressed half of the issues. For example, in our most recent conversation she focused on the fact that she was not in control of how fast we got our refund. When in reality the issue was the lack of communication and rudeness when we asked for updates. The way the director had addressed our family had been absolutely unprofessional and rude. It is unacceptable to accuse us of trying to get more money when we were asking for the credit we were owed. Furthermore to not notify us of the positive balance in our account for months after they received it. Again, the teachers and childcare workers are superstars and we loved how they were with our children. I wish I could use them again for care such as summer camp as it was an amazing experience for my children. It is a shame that their hard work is overshadowed by a rude and incompetent administration. All of my grievances have been relayed to the director but other families should be warned. I doubt that we were the only ones who had these issues. If you are a current family, double check your accounts and get your money.

Our Experience with New Edge Learning Center: A Cautionary Tale…read more As a first-time mom, I was understandably anxious about finding the right daycare for my daughter. After meeting Adeeba, the director at New Edge Learning Center, I initially felt reassured. She encouraged me to ask questions and emphasized the importance of advocating for my child--a sentiment I took to heart. However, our actual experience turned out to be far from the supportive environment she promised. The Issues We Faced: 1. Dismissal of Medical Advice My daughter has sensitive skin, and her pediatricians at Annapolis Pediatrics, a highly regarded practice, recommended using Aquaphor to manage occasional breakouts caused by weather changes or teething. Adeeba repeatedly dismissed their professional advice, insisting my daughter had Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) despite multiple doctors explicitly stating otherwise. She also claimed Annapolis Pediatrics was unreliable, stating she frequently called the health department on them. This forced us to make unnecessary doctor visits, consult a dermatologist, and repeatedly adjust our schedules to meet Adeeba's arbitrary demands, even when supported by medical documentation. 2. Neglect of Basic Needs On one occasion, my daughter went without food for hours. I only discovered this oversight through the Brightwheel app and had to contact the daycare myself to address it. The response was minimal--an acknowledgment of the "mistake." Additionally, diaper changes during nap times were skipped, leading to severe diaper rash. Adeeba's justification was that babies were sleeping, further highlighting her prioritization of convenience over care. 3. Unreasonable Policies and Inconsistencies Adeeba enforced rigid policies, such as requiring a 72-hour notice for early drop-offs, yet failed to provide consistent communication about these rules. When I sought clarification or tried to plan ahead, my messages often went unanswered. The most hurtful inconsistency was leaving my 18-month-old daughter in the infant room while her peers transitioned to the toddler room. Despite our repeated inquiries, Adeeba provided conflicting responses about when she would move up. Watching my daughter stand at the door, longing to join her friends, was heartbreaking. Adeeba's dismissive attitude, claiming, "She can make new friends," only added insult to injury. 4. How My Daughter Was Removed The final incident came on December 20th. I arrived to pick up my daughter, who was dressed in Christmas pajamas, looking forward to a festive day with her friends. Instead, Adeeba had isolated her in an empty room with baby toys, taking her anger at us out on an innocent 18-month-old child. When I arrived, Adeeba cornered me at the door with my daughter in my arms. She coldly stated, "This isn't working out; you don't listen," and admitted to giving away my daughter's spot in the toddler room. Her tone was harsh and confrontational, with no regard for the emotional distress this caused. Adeeba snapped her fingers at a teacher, who handed me my daughter's belongings--all packed up, signaling a premeditated decision to remove us from the daycare. This abrupt dismissal, just days before the holidays, left us scrambling for childcare and deeply hurt by how Adeeba handled the situation. Final Reflections: My daughter's teachers were wonderful and played a significant role in her growth, but Adeeba's unprofessional behavior overshadowed everything. Her refusal to respect medical advice from Annapolis Pediatrics, her inability to communicate effectively, and her retaliatory actions against my daughter were unacceptable. We are now enrolled in a daycare that values communication, care, and professionalism. I hope this review serves as a warning to other parents. Adeeba's claim of running a "business" came at the cost of empathy and the well-being of my child. Check them out for yourself. I wish I had https://www.checkccmd.org/default.aspx
