I went with a friend and we order two appetizers, the prime rib slider and two shrimp and salmon croquettes, they were both amazing. We had the butternut squash ravioli and the Superbowl (special menu) and they were as amazing as the appetizer. We had a dessert from the special menu too and even though I was not hungry anymore I are half of it. It was berries with quinoa cooked with a toping of ice cream... To die for. I had a cappuccino and my friend had an excellent Scotch. The service was perfect, we were not disturb every minutes but we never waited long when we needed something. It is not loud event though it's quite a big restaurant. It can become a bit pricey even more when you add a bottle of wine. Most of their appetizers are shareable size so you can save some money there. Overall, for a date night with friends, it's perfect. read more

We came here on the 26th of December to celebrate my dad's birthday. We were all tired from a 6 hour drive from Niagara Falls. We wanted something close to the hotel and this was right across. We were greeted by a friendly face and felt welcomed right away. Everything seemed delicious on the menu and was hard to pick but chose the Pesto Chicken Pasta and was yummy. I had the Mushroom Soup too but had too much Pepper for my taste. They brought two cold plates and was kind of disappointed but not after they fixed it right away and not just that but we were given two free desserts (aside from dad's birthday one). I was blown away as it tasted so good. I wished then I had more room to get seconds of dessert. We had the cheese cake and a chocolate one with like nuts or something; this chocolate one was the best. Also the server was the friendliest one by far, he made the night so entertaining. We had a party of 40 people. The service was good and speedy. The beer was 4 dollars. The only complaint I have is that they wouldn't let the party get up and mingle. They kicked us out right when the reservation was over. The food was really tasty and great portions. I had the burger. I would totally recommend this place. read more

We went Friday after work to try the new location at Lansdowne We arrived around 4:00 ordered a few drinks and an appetizer. The decor is warm and comfortable and Asian chicken bites very good. Our bill was $68 As we were finishing the manager told us he had a bunch of reservations coming in and we had to move because the place would be full. The bar is large and it was completely empty except for 2 other tables. He moved us to the next identical table. I was extremely pissed off at being treated as if another customer was more important, and felt humiliated? We gave them our business when they were empty and were dismissed. By the the we left the place was still empty no one had come in. I spoke to the manager as we left as we left and he couldn't have cared less. Pitchers cost $23 you pay a premium and are treated like garbage Not returning. read more

I really can't understand why this store in Yelp has such high score, cos everything we had were all below expectations. Only the music is good. The ribs is toooooo salty, after eating this rib, I feel like I need to drink over 10 glasses of water tonight, I can't image how many milligrams of sodium I took from this dish. I visited this place for early dinner while on a family vacation to Ottawa. I have been many times to other Milestones locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We were walk-ins and it was a busy time, so they only had room for us in the lounge, which was not an inconvenience to us. Service was a bit slow and a bit of a long wait for food, but the place was packed, so it was to be expected. Otherwise, service was very good and friendly, despite the place being packed, so my compliments to the staff. We ordered various items from the menu. I had the french onion soup, which was okay, not quite what I was expecting, but was still tasty, nonetheless. The soup was served hot. For my main meal, I had the steak frittes. When the food was served, the plates were searing hot, but the steak was actually quite cold. Not sure whether they nuked it in the microwave after cooking, but it was definitely not even warm. While cold, the food was delicious, so would have it again if served hot. Unfortunately, we had a show to get to that evening, and looking at how busy the place was, we could not wait for them to heat our food again, so we ate it cold, but mentioned to the staff that it was served cold. A manager promptly came to our table, not even 5 minutes after mentioning it to staff, to apologize for our food being cold. Since we could not wait for them to make it right, we were offered a discount on our order, which was very nice of them. We also had some great wine at this place. If looking for some excellent wine, ask for the Baby Amarone. I also had a bellini, which was also very good, and came topped with a small plastic giraffe, which I found quite amusing. I had the Mediterranean Lamb with mashed potato instead of quinoa and it was absolutely amazing, didn't last long enough on the plate to get a picture unfortunately. Great prices, food and atmosphere but overall the service was slow and seemed understaffed. We ordered an appetizer and drinks, the beer list is small, and then ordered our meals. The entrees came out after 20-25 minutes even though we hadn't received our appetizer. We informed the waitress and the restaurant offered us free dessert for the inconvenience. I came here on Wednesday for date night. We ordered Bellinis too because they were only $5 for the 25 year anniversary of Milestones. We ordered the mozzarella fritters (4 total) and they were very appetizing. We then asked for the 8oz top sirloin but we were told it can be changed to a 10oz prime rib instead for no extra cost, so we went for that. It was amazing! It tastes just as good as The Keg but cheaper. For dessert, we had the peanut butter and jelly cheesecake, which was also good. 1993 meet 2009. Milestones is one of those relics that was a big deal ten years ago and could be again if the owners decided to refresh the interiors and bring it in to the 21st century. Between Parliament Hill and Byward Market, this restaurant/bar has friendly outgoing staff and decidedly serviceable if unexceptional food. What it does have is booths, a prime location and prices that are just reasonable enough. My burger was good if not a bit over seasoned. The fries, bland and tasteless. Attention to detail makes all the difference. How hard is it to fry up outstanding french fries? Right. The decor is a different matter all together. At first glance it's modern but on closer inspection it's modern circa fifteen years ago. The decor needs a serious upgrading - new booths, furnishings, fabrics, colors - the works. If you want to charge the prices they're charging - you need to spend some money. Based on the fact they have three people on the front desk; I think they can afford it. One note, customers coming into the restaurant do not need to have the bathrooms pointed out to them - I've never failed to find a men's room before. Ever. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I have been to milestones more than once and I had bad experience at every visit. Last night ...We were a party of 4 with reservation. We waited for an hour. They were very stuck up and unprofessional, hostess talking about her sexlife in details but I digress, when we were finally seated almost an hour later we were ignored when we got to our table. NO DRINKS MENU after another 15 minutes, waiter shows up and drops menus doesn't ask to offer us drinks and walks away. At this point it was late in the evening and we were hungry. The food here is really good and the ambience is really pleasant. It is very pleasant inside, they have many private booths and intimate lighting. The issue is that milestones is on the pricey end of things. Everyone enjoyed their food it was just pretty expensive in the end. Barely got in with reservations - waited over 30 minutes for our drinks - had to skip most of our meal because it took so long for our meals to arrive that we had to leave to make to the start time at the NAC. Never trust them when they promise to serve you in time to make it to an event. read more
