I've received 2 increases in less than a year. When attempting to configure autopayment through their portal, using the exact details copied/pasted from my lease I was unable to establish an account profile because it could not match to a tenant. When I tried going to my unit today, my gate code no longer works and I've received no communication indicating a change, suspension or other issue. There are no employees onsite at any time, and when calling the phone I first had to listen to/decline (5) separate ads for completely unrelated services, at which point I was connected to a chatbot that claimed the business I was trying to reach is not a recognized client. The website is down. This has all the markings of a business that is either heading into bankruptcy or has been sold to a holding company.

They really need to clean the inside of their vehicles before renting to the next customer! The inside of the vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke and weed. The inside of the windshield, the dashboard, steering wheel, seats and floors were dirty! I get it, there are rental trucks, but one should expect them to be cleaned every once in a while. To top it off, I was not credited for the extra gas I put in the truck beyond what was in it at pick up (1/2 tank of gas and then filled the gas tank up to 3/4 tank before returning, as I wasn't quite sure how much to fill it to get back to 1/2 tank. I asked for a credit and the U-Haul staff at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Milford, OH location said they could not credit me because they didn't have a button for that. That's not fair or a good customer experience, especially when gas is $5 per gallon and U-haul charges $10+ per gallon if the vehicle is returned with less than what was in the tank at pick up! I doubt anyone at U-Haul will even read this feedback or do anything to make it right. I suppose all I can do is leave this bad review on social media to warn others.

Management was utterly useless. I'm going to have to go back tomorrow to speak to someone higher up and get this solved. I'm out memories possessions that belong to dead relatives that I can never get back because they're obviously dead. Not to mention the emotional distress that I am now receiving because of this, if they had given me a call that some thing had occurred I could've possibly have saved some items and when I went inside to ask them if they had anything in their system regarding it she outright said no, no one said anything to them. There was nothing in the system about anything wrong with my unit this is blatant negligence and completely ridiculous.
