Small museum with history buffs showing you around. We spent a couple of hours as there was so much to see.

A well-presented museum with a great collection of artifacts. I recommend it to any history buff.

Reasons you can create as to why you "can't/won't" like this class, in no particular order: can not…read morehoop, do not like group hugging, do not want people to see you looking silly, have no rhythm... In my opinion, those are the exact reasons you should take this class! You can learn basic hooping but also how to do cool tricks (that require practice). Personally, I think we all take ourselves too seriously and nothing helps loosen you up more than doing something new, kinda uncomfortable and silly in a room full of others in the exact same slightly-awkward boat. By the time the group circle comes around, you are for sure smiling, relaxed and sweating and the group hug seems like the right thing to do. This will not be my only source of exercise, but when i am in a fitness rut, i will take a class here to bust out of it. Stop being uptight, just try it!

I attended my first class last week, and I am excited to say that I am going again tonight!…read more As I walked into the studio I felt as though I was entering a different world, a world full of happiness, joy and positive spirit. This overwhelming happiness and laughter continued through the hour long class, where we learned new creative ways to move our bodies with a hula hoop as well as relax with yoga, and laughing exercises to soothe the soul. The instructor Che creates peaceful movements that are awe inspiring, and her gentle nature combined with years of experience offer an incredible balance to the class, leaving everyone wanting more! The best workout for your body, mind and spirit!

It had 3 sections. The bar was closed. But I can say that they had one. The seaters and greeters keep the flow going. The production was very enjoyable.

**I will never return to the Cumberland County Playhouse.**…read more My values do not align with an organization that allows or excuses discriminatory behavior toward individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). I recently spoke with a volunteer to inquire about tickets and show information. Once I mentioned that the individuals attending with me had IDD, the tone of the conversation shifted drastically. I was told that it would be "embarrassing" and "disruptive" to bring them to a mainstage production. The volunteer went on to suggest we instead attend a show in the smaller theater, stating that the handicap seating there was "up against a wall," and that the acoustics were so loud we "wouldn't cause a distraction." This kind of language and treatment is deeply offensive, unacceptable, and discriminatory. No person should be made to feel like an afterthought or a burden simply because they experience the world differently. If this volunteer's attitude reflects the values of the Cumberland County Playhouse, then it is not a place I can support. If it does **not**, I urge leadership to immediately address this issue and **retrain all volunteers** on how to respectfully and inclusively interact with guests of all abilities. People with IDD deserve access to art, culture, and community without being "tucked in a corner" or treated as less-than. ---
