It's a great way to make tributes to the women military. The building is well maintained and nice architecture. The round pool is reflecting the sky and buildings, honoring the women's team in the war field. A must see place in the Arlington National Cemetery.

My father and I visited the National Military Women's Memorial on 21 June 2025 as part of his Honor Flight. It's a lovely museum perfectly incorporated into the existing architecture of Arlington Cemetery. The museum chronicles the contributions of women to our nation's military history. While there, we were able to observe a special ceremony for a woman in our Honor Flight group.

This was a well thought out and put together memorial that I feel most people bypass. Take the time to take a gander and educate yourself if you have the time. I actually enjoyed the way that they used the structure to display the items inside. It shows that you can use every space of a memorial to the best possible use. Nothing is wasted here, every nook and cranny is used to display something important. Walking through the corridor you get a great sense of the importance that women have contributed to the nation's military. How integral it is for a functioning military. It chronicles women's roles in every conflict the military have been a part of and during peace times as well. Inside is filled with a wealth of knowledge. Outside the memorial fits into the surroundings like it is just a piece of the fabric that this area is made up of. The fountain out front is majestic. If you get the chance, take the stairs off to the sides to take you up above. You'll literally be standing on top of the memorial right next to the skylights that let in all the natural light below. Again, take a break from all the notable spots throughout the cemetery and give this a visit. You'll be glad you did.

An often overlooked memorial in Arlington National Cemetery. It basically is a large structure featuring columns. Military Women's Memorial is dedicated to women in service. Can be seen near the cemetery entrance. The tour tram goes by it. At the entrance to the cemetery is this memorial that has some interesting history. In 1932 it first opened as the Hemicycle, a ceremonial entrance that was never used as intended. The structure was left to accumulate plant growth over many years. In the 1980s it was decided to be the site of the new memorial for military women and designs were made. The existing structure was incorporated into it and a fountain was added, finally making use of the structure. It finally opened in 1997 and has received good reviews. The memorial incorporates new and old elements and is a nice representation of military women.

This place is actually a small indoor museum that is located inside the Arlington National Cemetery. On the walls, you will find information about famous female soldiers from throughout history. There is also a diverse collection of items such as old uniforms, medals, and newspaper articles. The place is not a must see but considering admission is free anyway, it is worth a quick look inside.

Amenities - None of the outlets for the desks work, and the molding on them prevents most stuff being plugged in anyway. I had to crawl under the table and remove the desk plus and use the floor plugs directly. Setting - Terrible, the staff do nothing to enforce a good library setting conducive to reading and studying. It's always incredibly loud, lots of screaming kids, and just obnoxious people talking full volume, laughing out loud, or big meeting groups humming around. They let homeless people sleep and malinger around all over the place and it STINKS. Cleanliness - Disgusting, the floors and surfaces are always very dirty and the bathrooms are third world. Shit smeared everywhere, USED TP all over the place, broken soap dispensers off the walls never replaced, never any paper towels, etc. I also witnessed a homeless guy doing drugs off the sink. Comfort - Need more comfy seating. Only a few soft seats and none with feet support or reclining. Most of the chairs are very hard and the desks/tables are set too low. Staff - Seems overall to be friendly but very aloof.

I reached out to Asmina via their online questionnaire and shared our goals for the trip. Panos, our trip consultant, reached out after reviewing our goals. We further articulated what we wanted to do and didn't want to do and he put together the best trip my wife and I have ever been on, while staying within the budget we provided him. We had several private tours, beautiful hotels, and plenty of free time to explore and decompress during our 3 week adventure. There was nothing we had to do once we got there other than to meet our driver to take us to our next destination at the appointed time. All of the flights, ferries, trains and drivers were pre-booked. Panos - we sincerely appreciate everything you did for us and hope to use you again the future for the countries you and your team represent!

In planning the trip, which began about a year prior, we were recommended through a friend to use Asimina Tours; we were put in contact with Dimitri. Right away, Dimitri worked very closely with us to find out what we were interested in seeing, how long we were looking to stay in Italy, and what our budget was. From there, Dimitri, along with his partner Christina, put together an amazing package that allowed us to see all the sights. We went to Venice, Como, Milan, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento. Along the way, we had many day trips, the majority of which were fantastic. From Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Cinque Terre (a favorite), the Vatican, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Capri, it was a once in a lifetime experience and we had the most amazing time. Other highlights of the trip were the wine tasting in Tuscany and the private cooking class in Sorrento. They were also very accommodating with some last minute trip ideas. About 2 months prior to leaving, I had learned that one of my favorite bands, Queens of the Stone Age, were going to be performing in Italy while we were there. We contacted Dimitri and he was able to rearrange our hotel and travel accommodations, including a last minute domestic flight, without any issues. Dimitri and Christina made the entire process run smoothly. All of our travel tickets and hotel reservations were all available through the app. Our hotels were centrally located and were within walking distance from the major attractions. We really appreciated the private transportation arrangements to take us from the hotels to the train stations/airports, as well as the private tours. If you are planning on going to the Mediterranean area of Europe, I would highly recommend using Asimina Tours, they were awesome.

This place absolutely rocks - definitely come here for the flight lessons!…read more I came here for an introductory helicopter flight lesson on a whim and was extremely impressed from beginning to end. The quality and detail involved in the instruction here is superb - you feel like you're being given all of the information you need, from the basics to more complex properties of the helicopters. There was no point where I felt like the information was overwhelming or over-simplified: it seemed like the right mix of education and beginner's instruction. As for the flight, it's a blast! While I was far from talented at piloting the helicopter, I was given quite a lot of control over time, and I felt increasingly comfortable as time went on. I felt safe and monitored the entire time - even when a lot of wind blew the helicopter around, the instructor was available to make things right quickly and effortlessly. Needless to say, if you have the time and the money, give this place a shot!

I've been to a few planetariums, but this one was pretty great, especially given it's random location. I think the person putting on the show was named Bob? Anyway, he did an awesome job. I learned and saw things I had never learned or seen before and he did a great job of explaining things without boring me and the many children in the room to death. Planetariums can make me dizzy and nauseous, also I had to look away periodically, but he moved at a pretty good pace, so I actually could enjoy much of the presentation. It was about light and went into a bit more about planets and the universe later on. I would definitely return.

My husband and I attended for the first time last night and we plan to return for the monthly presentations. The planetarium provides a small and intimate environment for families to learn about different scientific topics and study our local night sky. The planetarium is part of the Arlington Public School system and as such, hosts school aged educational programming in partnership with local schools. However, most of the cost of operating the facility and programming comes from members of the community who support via membership in the Friends of Arlington's Planetarium nonprofit organization. Volunteers actually run the monthly public outreach events. This is a great place to rediscover the beauty of the world and universe around us. There is a small parking lot outside the building and they do offer restrooms, as well as a small gift shop (table) inside. Thanks for an excellent evening. We will be back next month! :-)
