I went to this little baking shop to pick up some goodies for a small gathering. The shop itself is very cute and colorful. They have quite a big variety of offerings including drinks and baked goods. After assessing the variety of options available. I decided on purchasing a dozen macaron. My biggest issue with this shop was the pricing. On the blackboard macarons are listed as $26 for a dozen. When my order was being rung up, I saw that my price was quite a bit higher. It was only at that time that I was made aware that the macarons that I ordered were special and cost quite a bit more than what was listed. The macarons themselves were very good. I really like the flavors and they look so cute. However, they cost quite a lot more than the standard cost of Macarons at other bakeries (Duchess). I did enjoy what I bought But I don't know if it is worth what I paid. I would much rather go to Dutchess and get some more unique flavors. I have not written this place off, but would only reserve it for very special occasions and gifts for others. read more

I came here to grab some pride cookies and support the Chew project yeg. There are only 2 people (from the same cohort) allowed in the shop at any given time so I waited outside until it was my turn. They have hand sanitizer right on the door so you can spray some before you go in, and it smelled good too! Inside the staff are friendly but seemed bit rushed. She kept calling me "buddy" which I found a little off putting but I guess it is a safe type of word to use not to offend anyone. Maybe I'm just old hahaha! The cookies looked pretty great! They also had cupcakes and other baked goods. I asked how long the cookies normally last for and she answered 3-4 days. I also asked about freezing the cookies and she said I could try that but the icing may get all melted and weird looking. I usually order cookies from home bakers and they seal their cookies a lot of times using a heat sealer to make the cookies last longer and stay fresh. These cookies are not heat sealed although I did not ask if they could heat seal them for me. I would ask that next time if I go back again. Overall it was a good experience and I may return again. I do love all their unique and cute designs of cookies (they change monthly) and they do customs cookies as well but would definitely ask about heat sealing next time as I usually buy cookies to give away to other people and it's nice if they could last longer than a few days. read more

Easy to find via Google Maps. There was parking right in front of the bakery in a shared parking lot. No one else inside at 4:45PM on a Thursday. Loved the decor. So fun and colorful. Great place to hangout with friends this summer. Caramunchies sold here! Cashier was very friendly and cheery. Too bad she said they were out of their cookie butter cold drinks which confused me as the sign was still out advertising this. She raved about this drink and I am really sad I couldn't get one! She did say I could get 2 sandwich cookies for $7 as each cookie sandwich is usually $4 each. Not sure if this was is a standard discount or just for me. Sandwich cookies all looked amazing. Sugar cookies looked cute and I was surprised to see a vegan sugar cookie there too. I ended up with: Lemon poppy seed cookie sandwich- best sandwich cookie Ever. Very center was full of delicious tart lemon curd, and 2nd filling was a lovely lemon frosting. Soft fresh cookie. 10/10 Birthday cake brownie cookie sandwich- too sweet! Even for me who loves the sugar rush. Couldn't eat more than 1 bite. Boyfriend said he liked it as it was a "rich sweet". 6/10. I definitely will be back for the cookie butter drink! read more

I follow Milk & Cookies on social media and their decorated sugar cookies look cute and amazing! I was at MacEwan where they sometimes have a pop up shop. It was around noon and there were only 2 sugar cookies left; a mitten and a skate and they were priced at $3.75 each. They also had various other cookies in bags for $7 for 6 cookies. The various flavours were chocolate and mint, peanut butter, and chocolate chip. I noticed the sizes of the cookies varied where some were larger than others. The bag of chocolate chip ones I got seemed to be a little smaller. I had a cookie later that afternoon, and as soon as I bit into it, I could taste salt. I think maybe it was just that bite but the whole cookie was too salty for my liking. I find things salty so I asked my husband after he ate a cookie if he thought it was salty and he said he did. I'm not sure if it was a bad bag we got, or if the chocolate chip ones are salty but I didn't like them. I didn't find the cookies to be extraordinary and could make some myself that would be comparable. That being said, I would like to try something else in the bakery and hope it's more sweet than salty. read more

Milk & Cookies is such an adorable bakery, their cookies are unreal! During Halloween, I stopped by to pick up a treats for my family and I am impressed with the quality. The sugar cookies are soft but not crumbly and the cute designs are just the cherry on top. The one product that stood out to me were the cookie sandwiches (my favourite being the mint chocolate flavour). It's like an Oreo but upgraded x1000. Heavily recommend! read more

This bakery is phenomenal!! I'm almost reluctant to do a stellar review so I can keep them hidden. But then I know how popular these ladies are already, so its time to rave about them. I have used them 2x already for 2 separate occasions. They make these gorgeous cookie cakes and they are shaped into numbers. I got blessed that they had a cancellation and they were able to make it for me. Otherwise the wait is 2 months so book early. Since I purchased 2 numbers we got to pick 2 flavors (lemon/raspberry). It had a vanilla cake with lemon or raspberry cream topped with sugar cookies and decadent macarons finalized with gold flakes. I also did a last minute purchase of their sugar cookies as give aways for the milestone birthday. Perfectly sweet sugar cookies and the decoration on them was too cute to eat. Everyone fought over everything I got. When you enter their shop they have sugar cookies, variety of home style cookies and 2 cakes. Since I know it they are booked up I took a chance for whatever cake they would have on the shelf. It ended up choosing between cookies and cream or birthday surprise(confetti cake). So i picked it based on its looks. I picked the confetti cake with macarons and it was perfection. If you ever need a last minute cake these ladies will always have 2 mini cakes on their shelf. I've been wanting to try Milk and Cookies for ages now and finally I made a stop and I am pleasantly surprised. I bought a peanutbutter corner, 2 deer shaped cookies and a scrapc box! It came to about $22 I believe, a bit pricey for me, but I'm also cheap. Even being cheap though, I do think it's fairly priced for the quality of the desserts, they were worth it honestly. The 4 stars is because I'm a cheap ass So, I bought the cake for myself--despite the lady saying it could easily be for 6 people-- and it is delicious. I have no complaints whatsoever about it. Mine contained brownie, cookie dough, vanilla and chocolate and i am absolutely pleased as punch. She may have been right about it feeding 6 people, but, Imma eat it in 2 sittings. Now, the cookies, were an iced sugar cookie and both of my kids were delighted to eat a deer shaped cookies and more or less inhaled them. The only exception was when I accidentally broke the head off of my 2year olds cookie. Oops. And lastly, was the peanut butter corner piece, which I bought for my husband and he was a big fan! He's a peanut butter dessert fiend, so it was right up his alley. I had a bite and it was honestly so rich and sweet, definitely recommend. Milk & Cookies has quickly become one of my favourite bakeshops in Edmonton. Before I had visited in-person, I spent way too much time drooling over photos of their sugar cookies and cakes on Instagram. I ended up booking a cake with them for my wedding. When COVID-19 hit and we had to change our plans, M&C was incredibly flexible. We still had them make us a smaller custom cake and they did an amazing job. Since then, I've been super impressed with how they've handled the pandemic. They started out offering curbside only but have since opened their doors with limits on how many people can be inside at the time, staff wearing masks and hand sanitzer ready at the door before you enter. My go-to treat from M&C is their cookie sandwich, particularly the brownie birthday cake (which happens to be gluten-free!). It is soft and gooey like a brownie but has more of a cookie-like texture. I've tried almost everything here and I've yet to be disappointed. Tonight I'm looking forward to digging into one of their "cake scraps in a sad box" which is their cool way of avoiding cake waste. read more

I have been following this bakery on Facebook for quite some time. I don't even know how I came across it to be honest. I was looking for something unique and not chocolate-y for my kids for Valentine's Day, so I made the trip down Calgary Trail and discovered a tiny gem in a sea of mini-malls. They have a small but lovely selection of hand-crafted cookies, muffins, macaroons and meringues that are decorated beautifully for the season and occasion. I settled on the galaxy cookies, the cupid's arrow and some meringues. They were a big hit with the little ones! Cookies are in the $3-4 range each, which at first sight seems like a lot, but these are more than just bakery items, they are hand-crafted works of art. Placed an order early December for pick up on January 25th. Order was confirmed on December 31st. When I went to pick up the order it was not prepared. The associate attempted to tell us that orders are only confirmed via payment prior to date and this information had not been relayed or I would've paid the amount to confirm. It is confusing that this is said when the order was confirmed via email without any payment nor any mention of it in the CONFIRMATION email. The associate was also not willing to acknowledge THE business error and offer compensation. Awful customer service. read more

Looking online got me super excited to get cookies premade from Milk & Cookies for a bridal shower. The ordering process was easy. I picked up the cookies on the date I requested, they looked wonderful. However, the sugar cookie lacked flavour. The art on the cookie was amazing and detailed with everything I asked for. During this visit I bought a few goodies from the showcase, which were ate after supper that same night. Every sweet tasted stale. The cupcakes were awful and extremely dry inside. I have been having a craving for salted caramel macarons for months I swear so I decided to hunt some down and googled bakeries that might have what I was looking for. On Tuesday I was at a medical appointment and this bakery was the closest to where I was so I decided to stop in and see what they had. When I went in I was so intrigued by some of the treats they had but decided to stick to my original quest and bought a dozen macarons. 10 salted caramel and 2 cookies and cream cause they were too pretty to not try them. I couldn't even wait till I got home to try one and quickly got out a salted caramel macaron to try right away. Oh. My. Goodness! So so yummy and exactly what I'd been craving. The caramel in the center is delightful. The cookies and cream ones were good too but not quite as good as the salted caramel. It's going to be so hard to not go and buy a box like every day they are so good! I look forward to visiting again and trying some more of their yummy treats... i really want to try a cookie sandwich next time! read more
