Stopped here for lunch during a work trip because of all the good reviews! Super cute place, plenty of parking. Everyone is so nice here too! I got the milk and honey latte (cold with oat milk), and the chicken salad sandwich. The latte was delicious, not overly sweet! And sandwich was good too! What a great little place. I work not too far from here and decided to finally stop in. Pretty decent iced mocha. Staff is friendly and the place is cozy and inviting. I also ordered their breakfast burrito and recommend it, especially if you are a person that does NOT like huge burritos for breakfast. This is the perfect size and you get a little packet of salsa with it if you want. Anywhere else, the average cost for a small burrito and 16oz iced coffee is roughly $11-13. At Milk & Honey, it was about $9.00. I really like that they have a mini boutique at their entrance. Cute little items and great for gifting/stocking stuffers. Highly recommend. read more

The staff is always friendly and helpful and that makes for an outstanding coffee shop! Along with their coffee and food, they also have a wide variety of locally owned merchandise from businesses in the area. I just recently moved here and asked my bestie for some recommendations on coffee places and she suggested Milk and Honey. The inside is so cozy and cutie and everyone was so nice! Visited some months ago when doing a cross country road trip. Was going to stop at the McDonalds nearby so I could find a hotel for the night, but stopped here instead. Glad I did. The girls working and the owner (?) were able to give me recommendations for areas to look for a hotel at. The shop is super cute and cozy with crafts by local artisans you can purchase! The tea I got was very delicious and was safe in my hotel stay. Thanks girls!!! read more

I ordered a strawberry mango smoothie with almond milk, but what I received tasted nothing like that--it taste just like frozen milk. I went out of my way to come back and request a different one because this was not what I ordered. they insisted that it was exactly what I ordered and, they offered to remake a different flavor for me. However, when I got to the window, I was told that I would not be reimbursed and would have to pay for a brand new one. They explained that their almond milk has a stronger taste, which is why my smoothie ended up tasting like just milk. I highly recommend not going there for smoothies! I was very disappointed with the service. If a customer returns to address an issue with their order, it would have been reasonable for them to provide a replacement. Highly disappointed! Unfortunately, due to the customer service I received today, I do not recommend. read more

Nutshell: Absolute gem of a coffee shop! Smooth as silk drip coffee and scones to definitely write home about. What a find! I was rounding out my road trip and I needed sustenance for my last day. The interior is so quaint and inviting and the staff were very nice. I went with the Milk and Honey scone and a large drip coffee. Their coffee was mild and smooth with a really great flavor. I was a little suspect of the scone because it was so flat, but it's quite large and very filling. The simplicity of good ingredients made it a standout for me...and I consider myself a bit of a scone connoisseur. It melts in your mouth and it as close to nirvana as I have ever been. I decided to grab some beans as a gift and they even ground it for me. The gift went over very well! My total for breakfast was about $5-6. The bag of beans ranged from $18-19. Very fair prices. I will definitely come back, if visiting Topeka. read more

On Saturday around 1230 or 1 pm I had a bad experience, the manager was in the back yelling chop chop to her busy workers. First off my drink came out a small when I ordered a large, the dark haired barista flatly said "it says small on the ticket." She wasn't friendly, no smile or apology. Second, as I was getting up to leave I took a drink of my Americano, it was lukewarm. So I asked her to remake it. Her manager came out and said you paid for a small I already knew that didn't need to be told again. The girl begrudgingly took my drink and remade it while glaring at me every ten seconds. You're in food service girl, learn to take a critique with a smile on your face. I paid $5 plus a $3 tip for a drink that wasn't right so obviously I want the right drink made correctly. I wasn't saying anything was wrong with you personally just that the gourmet drink you made wasn't right. I won't be tipping Barista's untill after the drink and service is finished. Sick of being treated bad by Barista's who cant make a simple drink and get offended when they mess up. read more

I love the 3:16 refresher. It taste natural, not overly sweet at all!! Hot chocolate is very good too. You can get it with marshmallows and whipped cream!! The employees are all super friendly! And you can support local artists. They had clay jewelry, crochet plushies, and more!! The breakfast sandwiches are good too. You get way more for your dollar than you would at Starbucks or Dunkin. I enjoyed the Irish cream blessing this morning. The temperature of the coffee was perfect and the foam top stayed with the coffee until the end. I also appreciated the barista's design in the foam. Small details made for a great coffee. The atmosphere is cute and the support of local artists is also present with in the store. The atmosphere of milk and honey is a decent one, there isn't a lot of seating. The girl taking our order had a slight condescending tone of voice due to how long it took us to order, mind you no one was behind us and they're weren't that busy. Granted it was our first time here that didn't leave a good impression. The mocha latte was ok, the pastry cabinet was lacking. The chai tea was overpoweringly ginger and would probably be something if I was sick. Definitely a home mix which isn't bad if you love ginger. That being said, I will probably go back soon to try again and see if anything had changed. read more
