I wasn't sure if this was a chain or not, but looks like it's not. It's got its own unique style of stuff and ways of serving ice cream. 100% the way to go is to get the 4 flavor sampler for $9.75, the scoops are basically normal size. My favorite ice cream I tried was the Taro Mochi, it had little chunks/bits of chewy mochi in it, so good. They've got a countertop to sit at with connect 4, tic tac toe, and other games to play. My hubby and I are obsessed with their taro with mochi ice cream! It's our go-to whenever we stop by Milk & Sugar. The taro flavor doesn't taste fake and the ice cream has a creamy texture. The mochi is always a nice surprise and adds a fun, chewy bite. The women who work here are super nice! They were patient with me while I was being slow about what size I wanted and gave a decently sized scoop. I love the board games and giant tic tac toe on their wall. Updating my review, although the five stars remain! I love that we have an option to indulge in town that is ingredient conscious and uses Strauss products. Makes me feel more inclined to indulge, if I'm being honest. I can eat unhealthy.... Healthier. Am I right? Hot summer day and needed something to cool us off , what better way than some ice cream and cool drinks. This little ice cream shop is so cute. with so many games to play and entertain yourself. After a dinner, we decided to get some ice cream nearby. Went here multiple times no problem at all. We came here couple days ago. It was a Friday night around 8:15-8:30 ish time. We had a party of 5+ come in. We all ordered and paid for the sweet treats and we were still relaxing inside. As soon as 9:PM hits, one of the front workers told us to leave. I didn't want to cause a scene but I have never experience someone telling me a leave a business when they close. I get it they close at 9PM. You can stop serving customers, but telling customers to leave because "we're closing down shop" is not acceptable. We're paying customers. The ice cream was good but service towards the end of the night was not acceptable. read more

What a great creamery! Such fresh and delicious ingredients flavors! I absolutely loved the lavender honey flavor...... so simple yet flavorful if you love lavender! The service was great with 2 very nice young ladies who instantly greeted us and helpful. They now have a wall up that hides the ice-cream as I use to love to look at the ice-cream to determine what flavor I want and now it's just a picture on the wall... I don't love that. When I tell you that their ice cream SMACKS... it literally DOES. Quite frankly, this is one of my favorite ice cream spots in Tracy every time I come. It has been a while since I came to this particular ice cream shop, so I wanted to give it another try. The one thing that blew me away was the variety of non-dairy and dairy ice cream they had. I was craving some cinnamon and velvety, and right away they recommended us a sample of Horchata and lavender honey ice cream for us to taste. Not only was it super creamy, but we ended up getting double scoops of them. They were really quick to serve us, and was really helpful in answering questions that we had about the ice cream. in addition, the ice cream shop was kept really clean, and I really liked the environment, as it wasn't too crowded. Neither was it too cold. If you want an ice cream shop to stop by after shopping at West Valley Mall, this is one of the spots in Tracy that you wouldn't want to miss! read more

Tracy was the halfway point for my cousins from Stockton to meet for lunch, and we got Milk & Sugar Creamery for dessert. My oh my this long held bookmark was worth the wait. I think I would drive 28 minutes no traffic to visit again LOL. The flavors are super potent and you get unlimited samples! I got the taro with mochi and horchata (single split scoop) after sampling them, and I wish I sampled more!! Mochi bits were still soft, and I loved the strong cinnamon flavor in the horchata. I tried my sister's sakura ice cream and it was a little too floral for me, but she liked it the more she ate it. You can purchase pints and pre-scooped ice cream to go as well! The games are fun to play since the boards are stuck on the wall and the pieces are magnetic, so it doesn't get too chaotic. I was obsessed with their floor that looks like marble ice cream lol. Here we go--so they recently revamped the system and interiors of this place, and let me tell you, I really missed it while it was closed for renovations. But when they finally reopened, I was disappointed. The old setup, where the ice cream was displayed behind the glass, added to the charm and overall experience. I used to love sampling new flavors, but now they've limited tastings to just one. I just stocked our freezer with No Sugar Added Fudgsicles, Drumstick "dairy dessert" cones, and Keto ice cream, but I'm not craving any of that right now. I'm craving natural sugar in fruity, floral, lovely Lavender Blueberry ice cream from Milk & Sugar Creamery! We tried this place a few weeks ago, and I was thoroughly satisfied with half a scoop of Lavender Blueberry and half a scoop of Raspberry Chocolate Chip to fit in their single cup. Both flavors are dairy-free and divine. My sister thought her coffee ice cream was okay, nothing spectacular. I'm only removing one star because the place could use some cleaning on the counters, walls, and games that are on the wall. It would also be great if they had outdoor seating with umbrellas. The pleasant and friendly worker helped me choose the Lavender Blueberry ice cream. I'll be making the 30-minute drive back out there this summer. read more

We were welcomed as soon as we stepped in. Looking around, the ambiance is very friendly. There is a cute photo area and even some games on the right side. My boyfriend purchased a Jr. scoop, added hot fudge, and ordered a mango melon lemonade. The lemonade was really good and refreshing. As for the scoop, it wasn't bad, but for the $1 upcharge, we feel like they could've been more generous on the hot fudge. The interaction face-to-face with the workers could've been a bit more friendly. But just hoping that maybe they were having an off day. Will give in another shot in the future. read more

A really cute shop. The have magnetic games to place on the wall while you sit at the counter. Checkers and tic tac toe. The girl working was really sweet. She explained to me that on section of ice cream was non-dairy and the other 2 sections were dairy. I got a regular milkshake, Oreo cheesecake, but there wasn't enough so she offered to mix in cheesecake. The shake is really creamy. I'll be back. read more

Best ice cream in Tracy! It's awesome that they make all of their flavors in-house, including many vegan options as well. They offer so many different flavor options to choose from and some rotate while others are always available. I've been to Milk & Sugar quite a number of times now and the quality and great customer service is always consistent. At first I thought their pricing was a bit high but I think it all makes sense for the quality they're serving. Their scoops are large and their toppings are generous when you order a sundae. Some of their flavors are more icy than creamy, but other flavors are very creamy and decadent. I like to try the flavors first and decide that way. A couple of my favorite flavors so far have been their cookie dough and their cookie butter - both really creamy and the cookie dough has many large pieces of dough in it. I noticed the last time that they've added new sauce pumps and offer caramel, peanut butter, and hot fudge sauce options - which I think the peanut butter is a new addition. We typically get their two-scoop sundae which comes with a topping and sauce of your choice and then whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. They used to display their toppings right on top of the ice cream display case, but I didn't see it last time. We typically get their Oreo and rainbow sprinkles toppings. They have a few more to choose from as well. Last time we went and my father-in-law got one of their newest menu items, an affogato with cookie dough ice cream. He loved it! read more

Came here to get our sugar fix. Walked in and was greeted which was nice. They had a non dairy / vegan selection as well as your normal ice cream selections. For the non dairy / vegan it was pretty selective due to them not having much in The tray to scoop from. I got the cookie dough with my cup filled to the top. They had an area where you can sit facing the wall with magnetic games on the wall like checkers and tic tacos toe to keep kids and adults occupied if they were not consuming their ice cream. Place is clean and spacious and they had tables outside if you wish to sit out there. Ambience was quiet with the exception of people talking and ordering. I love the flavor selection here. There were so many flavors I wanted to try, so I will definitely come back. During my most recent visit, I got a single scoop with 2 flavors - horchata and sakura. The horchata was cinnamon-y and sweet. Tasted very much like horchata. I was pleasantly surprised to see sakura. This place has absolutely amazing ice cream! We stopped in the area wanting something sweet, and chose Milk & Sugar Creamery. I'm certainly happy we did! They had great service and the worker let us sample multiple flavors before deciding what we wanted to order. I sampled the white chocolate cookie butter and knew instantly that this is what I wanted to order. We also got the taro w/ mochi pieces which was really good, even though I don't usually love taro flavor. The cookie butter was extremely rich and flavorful! Amazing flavor and texture. I also really appreciated that our server scooped a lot of the cookie bits into my cup, same thing with the mochi pieces. The more I tasted it, the more I enjoyed it. After going to Elite Armory Plus, Hubby and I wanted to stop for a sweet treat before heading out to dinner. I looked around and saw Milk & Sugar Creamery, as we were craving for ice cream. Around the time that we were there, there were only 2 workers. They worked as quickly as they could to get the orders out. They were super kind and helpful. I don't quite remember what we ended up ordering, but I just remember that it was so delicious! The shakes that we saw them making for some of the customers before us looked really good! Next time we are around we may need to get ourselves one of those shakes! They also have cookies and brownies over there as well, and we had ordered one of their cookies. The customer service was excellent, they let you try as many flavors as you'd like so you can order the flavor you like! I ordered a scoop of Mango and Oreo Cheesecake Ice Cream and both of them were delicious and tasty. Each scoop was $4.50, which might seem pricey, but they do scoop it in the cup! I want something sweet after my lunch; and I don't want to drive to my favorite Milk in Dublin, so I give this a try. After trying the taro mochi and orange dream, I kinda know they aren't my cup of tea.. too sweet and not smooth at all. However, I get the orange dream with cone anyway as I feel bad not buying after the person gives us the samples. The place also looks empty and dead when we go. Not a hangout spot for sure. I live in Sacramento, so whenever I'm in Tracy visiting family, I'll always make it a point to stop by here!! There isn't a flavor that I have tried that I didn't enjoy! ROCKY ROAD - it has WALNUTS! Usually it comes with almonds, so this was DELIGHTFUL!! LYCHEE ROSE - My FAVORITE flavor of ice cream ever. This is made to a perfection. HUGE VEGAN/NON-DAIRY SELECTION The ladies that work here are super friendly. I usually call in advance and have a couple of pints reserved (put to the side in the Ultra Freezer). Those cost $8 each. So I would recommend maybe having 2 people working the front. The inside in reviews stated games so I was looking forward with my kids, but they weren't really any games and if it was referring to the ones on the walls- they weren't functional games of any sort. Ice cream was good they had a decent selections of flavors and just 4-5 dry toppings. They also had a good amount of non-dairy flavors which was nice for those who are lactose intolerant. The ice cream here has always been excellent, but I miss the old layout before the renovation. The new design feels more like a grab-and-go setup, especially with the kiosk-style register. It was also nice when the kids could watch their ice cream being scooped, but now it happens on the other end where they can't see it.
