I wish this place was more consistent. I've gotten the same drink multiple times and some days there's more flavor and other days its watered down. Also they open at 11 but boba isn't done til 12.. I know it takes time to cook but maybe have the opener start at 10? Its popular in drinks and in some of their Che. Just a thought and suggestion. This place also does take their time getting things done. Coming during lunch isn't the best move if youre on time crunch. read more

Was in the Tracy area and wanted some boba. It's located in the Safeway shopping center with plenty of parking. As you enter, you have c seating on your right and more seating on your left with a cute back drop for photos. There's a large connect 4 and another hook game for patrons. I was stuck on the photos of their drink favorites and was so close to try one but then went back to my boba craving. I ended up with a salted caramel iced coffee with boba. It was sweeter than I expected but still good. I tried their lychee tee with chia and it was refreshing. The employee was very helpful in answering questions on the menu and patient. YEARS ago, I remember getting an off-menu drink at another Bambu location. Again, years ago: I asked for Coconut milk w/red tapioca and a ball of crushed iced on top. I asked for that here, and the kid didn't know how to ring it up at the register (fair enough), so his colleague rang it up as 03. Awesome Trio $6.50. The coconut milk wasn't sweet at all and just tasted like a thick unsweetened creamer. Also the price was a bit steep for what it was. The drinks looked really good so I wanted to give it a try. I was standing in line behind 2 people and the cashier took their order and turned around and went to the back. I was standing there but the cashier didn't come back out so I went to the kiosk they had there at the counter. I've never tried this boba place so i was looking at the menu on the kiosk and i had a few questions so i was waiting for someone to come out of the back. Bambu has the best Thai tea I've ever had! I know they primarily sell Vietnamese dessert drinks but I come here solely for their Thai tea. The Thai tea flavor comes through so well compared to other places that tend to over dilute it with half and half. I've also had their Ube waffle, which was the perfect texture but a little too artificially flavored for my preference. Still delicious though! Also, the cashiers here are always nice and helpful. They've made a few mistakes with my orders before but have been quick to fix them without any complaints. Definitely recommend Bambu! read more

Still in disbelief that this place opened in my hometown?! I was BEYOND elated to hear that Bambu popped up close to my neighborhood. I already know that this place is going to be a staple for my family. They've opened right by the Safeway! Bambu offers unique Vietnamese dessert drinks, otherwise known as chè. This location also sells some baked goods like macarons and other sweets like pandan waffles. I don't remember what the space used to be before Bambu, but they've completely redone the place and it looks SO good! It's pretty small, but has a few tables and chairs available to sit at. We ordered the #10 aka the "Bambu Favorite," which comes with red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly, and coconut milk. The drinks are sweet and refreshing - perfect to have to cool down on a hot day. For anyone new to Bambu, I'd definitely suggest sticking to any of their Vietnamese desserts displayed as photos on the wall right as you walk in since this is what they're known for. Tried the avocado smash. Ordered over phone for Togo- order was taken nice and neat with attention to preference. She even guided me on sweet levels. Little did she mention it's not a drink It's my fault though for assuming. I didn't have time to look at the pics. Never thought a Bambu would come to Tracy but I'm stoked it has! I've tried 3 items on the menu so far. The Halo Halo is decent. It's expensive but the cup is pretty big. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. The taste was good but I wish it came with a bigger scoop of ube ice cream. As for the other two drinks I tried, the Taro smoothie and Salted Caramel Vietnamese Coffee are delicious and I would get them again. So amazing! I ordered the mango halo-halo and egg puffs and they both did not disappoint! My halo-halo is not the traditional Filipino halo- halo but i liked this more than the traditional one. Maybe it was because I came in 8 minutes before closing but even if that was the reason for feeling rushed to put my order in, customer service should be welcoming- not rushed. This was my first time here, and I didn't know any of the menu items so it would have been nice to feel like I didn't have to rush. Whomever had taken my order just didn't seem like she just wanted to clock out. Asking "anything else?" just seems like she didn't even want to take my order. Being a milk tea and boba enthusiast, I was super hyped when BAMBU opened in Tracy, so naturally, I had to check it out pronto. Went for the chai with boba and basil seeds--loved the spice kick from the chai and, of course, the awesome mix of textures from the basil seeds and boba. Opted for regular sweetness and ice, but found it a tad too sweet; might go less sweet next time. They've got a diverse and unique range of drinks, so I'm definitely coming back to explore more from their menu. read more

I wish I had taken a picture of my Oreo Milk Tea drink that I had ordered from them. I am currently pregnant and I was craving something with cookies and crème with no Caffeine. I didn't get the cashiers name who helped me. Very nice young gentleman. He told me all those that I can order from the menu but he didn't know what I can and can't have because I am pregnant so I said something with no caffeine and that is cookies and crème.
