I made an appointment for the day I got out of the hospital. She was very helpful. She weighed my LO before and then after nursing to see how much he was getting. It was very helpful to know he was getting more than enough and that the time I was being told to nurse was not necessary and he would let me know when he was full. I went to her a few more times and did a few phone calls for other reasons. I recommend her highly to anyone with problems or just anyone who is curious if their LO is getting enough. Weight checks were free just make an appointment which is helpful since the pediatrician visits can be so far away. We were lucky and there was a discount on the inside page of the breasfeeding guide from Saint Barnabas. We loved Dawn and she was so helpful to a new mom like me.

As my skin cleared, I also searched for help in returning to nurse my son. I found Dawn through a few online searches and mommy forums. I could not have done this without her. Probably…read more But then, I just calculated the days (yes, DAYS) of time I wasted sitting in the waiting room of Brunswick-Hills OBGYN for my last pregnancy, and I was inspired to sing the praises of Dr. Parlavecchio and his wonderful staff! At Brunswick-Hills, I never waited less than 1 full hour to see a doctor. Over the course of a 9 month pregnancy, where you're going anywhere from 1-5 times in a month, that adds up to a whole lot of wasted time. I'm in my 7th month of my current pregnancy, and my behind has never even touched a waiting room chair at Dr. Parlavecchio's office. No kidding. I walk in, and they're ready for me. I'm in and out within 15-20 minutes. Even counting the drive from Hillsborough to Raritan, I'm back home in less time than it would have taken me to just wait out the waiting room portion of an appointment at Brunswick-Hills. He and his staff are super friendly, considerate, and never rushed. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes they had a doctor who cares about them and their time, which is sadly very rare today.
