Milky Moo's Homemadd Ice Cream has closed this location. It was a great place for the community, but the ownership wanted to focus on their other location. The ice cream is delicious. I had the cheesecake cone, single scoop size, and in a regular cone. It was just enough to curb my sweet tooth. The service was fast and courteous. It was busy on my visit but they keep it moving. I'm taking a star for thier enormous consumption of styrofoam. Please find and use an alternative that is not so damaging to the environment. I recently came here when I was visiting Downtown Ozark for the Crawdad Festival. After the savory sausage dog I had, something sweet was in order. I had a single scoop of pistachio ice cream in a regular cone and it was delicious. The ice cream was delicious! The location is cute and is a through back diner-ish place. Just visiting family for the week and our grandma suggested this place. All 5 meals were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. (Yelp is currently saying that my review is still too short, so this is just filler. But while I am adding filler, I will talk about Yelp. There is no reason that my short and to the point review about this restaurant is not good enough. Why do I need to add useless descriptions to a review just to hit a quota? This is a cute little eatery. I've had the hot fudge brownie sundae (3 times), chocolate marshmallow ice cream, and the club sandwich. The brownie sundae was good. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate marshmallow. The club sandwich was underwhelming. Leaving it on a positive note the staff is friendly. read more

This place is a dream, absolutely perfect. Food is set at a great price and you get plenty for the amount you pay. Service is amazing, they also cater to my work or take our long to-go orders. Never had a bad experience at any of their locations. Could use some ambiance of music in the restaurants though. read more

Since this restaurant has only recently opened I have been here twice. So, what can I say about my visists? Well let's see: The service was VERY good, with friendly, honest staff (how refreshing!!!) that quickly recognized me. (The location is very convenient too if you happen to be in Downtown Ozark. It is behind the Ann Rudd Art Center and directly across from Colby's.) However the building isn't particularly too large, so seating IS limited; a problem I had to deal with upon my first visit. They do have the option "to go" if all else fails. On to the best part: the FOOD! Prices fair, ranging approximately from 2 through 12 dollars. I have ordered the French dip sandwich (AWESOME!) and the chicken bacon ranch wrap (OK), along with the combo option of a bag of kettle chips (BBQ** or Original). My dining companions have tried the loaded potato soup( lots of creamy goodness, slightly blander than we were hoping for though on something with the name like "loaded baked potato), hot dog (regular fair for the kid folk), and roast beef sandwich with all the trimmings. The roast beef on the sandwiches is SO good, and even though you can tell it is the processed (lightly), deli stuff, it is honestly WAY better than anything you would get at say, a fast food roast beef place. The ciabatta bread they serve the sandwich on is really good too! I was surprised with how much I liked it! (Not a bread-eater normally.) It actually tasted FRESH and was nice and slightly toasty with a good chew. The au jus dipping sauce was top-notch as well. Overall, I was pleased with the quality and surprising freshness of it all, from the bread to the crisp veggies. Oh and finally to the last part: the homemade ice cream. (Cant go to a place called Milky Moo's and NOT try some kind of dairy treat. lol) There were about 8 different flavors ranging from the normal vanilla-strawberry-chocolate variety to the slightly more varied options such as lemon, hazelnut chip, mint chocolate chip, cookie dough, some atrocious purple, grape-ish concoction called "Puple Smootch", and cherry. Sadly almost all the flavors were surprisingly/disappointingly bland. My companions, and myself had a HARD time differentiating some of the flavors from plain ol' VANILLA with food coloring tossed in. :( Apparently we are not alone as we have heard this from other patrons of the business. The only flavor that stood out was the hazelnut chip. You can actually taste the hazelnut in it. (Well, you can taste the "flavor" in Purple Smooch as well, but unfortunately that flavor is equivalent to children's cough medicine!) Luckily I am a forgiving person and will give the ice cream another try one day, but next time in the form of a gooey, syrup covered sundae! Hehe. So far no one has mentioned the cakes that they make, so I wanted to write a review about their cakes, which are *amazing*. I ordered a "regular" (ie. not a ice cream cake, which they also offer) cake from them because Wal Mart didn't have what I was looking for, and I didn't want to drive all the way to Publix to pick up a cake (which is where I prefer getting cakes from, anyways, I was just being lazy by going to Wal Mart). The "cake lady" was VERY helpful when coming up with ideas for the cake-- she immediately whipped out her phone and started Googling ideas. We decided on a small, round, two layer cake with an "Olaf" theme. I picked it up this morning and was VERY pleased! She did a great job with the snowflakes on the side, and even had a talking Olaf figurine for the centerpiece. I was even more pleased when I actually bit into it-- very tasty cake part, and it was actually whipped icing-- perfect! Not heavy buttercream icing (which we don't really care for). Awesome! And I only paid around $20! We still have plenty of cake to munch on later. I'm so glad I ordered my cupcakes for my daughter's class from them the same time I ordered my cake. I'm looking forward to seeing them when done (they are also going to be Olaf themed). Could not be more pleased! I am ordering my cakes from Milky Moo's-- Ozark from now on! read more
