Our builder contracted with Mill Creek to lay about 4,000 sqft of tile in our new home back in 2020. After the downstairs was almost complete we noticed hollow sounding tile throughout the 1st floor. Milk Creek had to rip up tiles throughout the first floor and relay. Fast forward a few years later and tiles in several areas of the upstairs are now popping up. Although we were past the warranty period, I called Joan (our sales rep) and explained the situation, thinking they would at least come look at the issue. She said that their manager said "something caused this to happen..." and that "too much time had passed and that they didn't want to open up a can of worms". Hindsight being 2020, I would not use Mill Creek and would opt for a more reputable company with higher skilled tile layers and better business practices. read more

it all started great we paid half down but insulation day they were short on material to finish so 6+ weeks later they get it in and install all looked but then they charged my Credit Card without telling me plus charged me over 1600 over quote without telling me why or even attempting to discuss with me. when I saw the charge i called and got a couple reason but then they admitted they missed charging for something 1 I had another quote from another place that was 1000 more so I went with Millcreek 2 They just tacked on the charge with no explanation and used the card from the down payment without further ok from me. not happy. I will buy my upstairs carpet elsewhere. read more

We bought porcelain tile here. We allowed Tad (store manager) to go ahead & order the quick-set adhesive (6 bags) & grout for us as well, thinking if it cost a little more, it'd be ok. He up-charged the kwikset excessively - $49 per bag for exact product, same weight, same brand and color - that Floor Decor sells for $10.23 per bag!! It makes one wonder what else they gouged us on! When we called, it was Tad's day off, and an employee we talked to said it must've been a mistake, as he never upcharges that much! Tad was only helpful until the deal was closed and paid for. Once we got hold of him he was unwilling to admit his mistake or make any corrections! And he is not willing to even take unused bags back after the job was completed. Go somewhere else! Update: after the manager Gary was notified of the situation he made his best effort and rectified the bad customer service and wrong order. Which he found out was some of the warehouses doing. They had a countertop template and did not make it according to the dimensions. They did not replace the entire countertop. Instead they "made it work". There is a seam in the middle of the kitchen sink and it should be at both sides. read more

I'm not even a customer!! I walked in to discuss with what I was looking for and received a deer in the headlights look from the woman that came to "help" I showed her pictures of what I wanted...she's the expert not me...she had no clue. Mind you I had spoken to several other places and they knew exactly what it was and showed me samples. This woman....nothing. I was out of there in ten minutes. A return visit won't happen. I have spoken to several other places that were knowledgeable right out the gate. Even if it saved me a couple dollars I don't believe I will take the chance. read more

Simply put, there is no comparison to other flooring companies, from when you walk in the showroom door to when the installers walk out of your home - the experience throughout the process is all 5 Stars and above! The Mill Creek staff was so helpful and such an amazing resource in helping us decide on which products to use in our home. The installers were kind, patient, meticulous and very clean with their installation. The products themselves are above and beyond with their quality. I wish I had read these reviews prior to working with millcreek! Sales person was good, although all my invoices are wrong by overcharging! Very poor installers - weeks late, animals as very rough in my home by throwing nails all over my newly installed floor and walking on them, DROPPING heavy tools on my newly installed floor. After templates were done on countertops I was told I would hear from them in two days. It was closer to two weeks and that happened after I made numerous calls. Who ever answers the phone was the rudest person I have ever dealt with so I asked to talk with the manager and he was not as rude but the jerk laughed at me. I told them I didn't want their countertops so they scheduled me for the next day. They did not show up! As other reviews on here the worst customer service anywhere and they cannot do their invoices correctly! DO NOT USE MILLCREEK OR YOU WILL HAVE MAJOR MULTIPLE BAD ISSUES. I love my new carpet. The sales staff was helpful and prompt during the selection process. It was after I paid half down things began heading downhill. First of all, I was told the carpet would be ready within 10 day. Not so. It was closer to a month. But, the carpet was installed professionally and nicely done. The installers were friendly and hard working. They went far and above the call of duty trying to meet our expectations. So far, the carpet quality is excellent. The not-so-great part starts with the paperwork. After installation I gave one installer a check to pay the full balance. Two weeks later, I receive a HUGE invoice. I was shocked. They had lost my check and added on extra charges. I don't carry ANY balances on accounts. I am always prepared to pay in full, and thought I had, so I was very uncomfortable with this situation. I called the number on the invoice and spoke with the accounts/billing person. She said she'd get back with me. A week later, after no "getting back" I called again and left a message. Still no response. I called again. Left another message. No response. Finally I called them today and accidentally reached the billing person. Her concern was not that one of the Mill Creek employees had lost my check, but was more concerned with how much I owed. I tried explaining that we wouldn't know how much I owed until we account for the missing check. So, basically, my Mill Creek experience has some great & some bad experiences. Their product, as far as I can tell is excellent. Their sales team is kind, helpful and punctual. If only they'd work on fixing the horrid paper trail & billing practices. Business with these unsavory billing practices make people suspicious and untrusting -- wary of overcharges. While they may deal with 100 accounts per day, each customer has one account & should be treated with respect. I love my carpet and hate that what had been an excellent experience turned sour. I suppose I have to absorb the cost for the lost check stop payment, too. read more

The list of reason that I am posting this review are almost endless. From the initial order to the store manager telling me that there was nothing wrong with my carpet and that they were not going to do anything about it especially since they already had my money. Between my salesperson, whom I placed my trust in, and the store manager, Mike, they were not concerned with my time or my desires, only my money while customer satisfaction is not part of the package that you get from Mill Creek Carpet and Tile. Earlier this week, I had roughly $7100 worth of work done by MillCreek in Tulsa, Ok. The project involved removing 1100 sq ft of carpeting on our bottom floor and replacing it with wood laminate. I have to agree with what Marlene says in the comment before this one about Freddie. Apparently MillCreek has several contract crews doing installation work and I was fortunate enough to have Freddie do the installation on this job with a helper. Freddie is super polite, professional, detailed, and very fast. He takes a lot of pride in his work. It took him 2 days to complete this job. I did the math and figured that he and his helper worked at a rate of 75 sq ft an hour (includes moving the furniture, removing the capeting, pad, and trim and installing the new wood laminate). It's incredible! I would recommend anyone looking to get flooring done at MillCreek to ask about Freddie's availability. I also had the pleasure of working with Linda Lakey as my consultant on this job. She has a background in interior decorating, so she was able to help us find the right color and shade of laminate to best match our walls and furniture. We never felt pressured for a decision on anything. She was concerned with us getting exactly what we wanted, how we wanted it, and when we needed it. My wife and I went at our own pace and asked a lot of questions about the materials, costs, financing, and installation. We found Linda to be very honest, knowledgable, pleasant, and professional. I was initially nervous with doing this big of a project and not having any personal experience in dealing with MillCreek. But everything turned out great and my wife and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. I would certainly use MillCreek again if I ever do any more flooring projects, especially if I could work with the same people again. One thing that I did learn on this project is that I am glad that I went with the thicker (12mm) wood laminate. Once the carpeting was removed, we found that my foundation wasn't perfectly level(no foundation is, some are worse/better than others). Linda, Freddie, and I discussed some possible remedies once the foundation imperfections were found. But they suggested to me that I could live with not having anything extra work done since the thicker laminate would flex less and make it less noticeable when I walked on it. And so far, I agree with that. read more

DO NOT do business with Mill Creek. Based on Mill Creek's showroom and prices you would expect to receive a superior product and exceptional customer service, but unfortunately that is not what you get. We purchased engineered wood floors and had Mill Creek install them in our home. The sales woman told us installation would take a couple days, but when the installer (sub-contractor) came out he informed us that it would be at least a week -- and that actually turned into several months. Fault is not on the installer (they were actually great), but Mill Creek did not order enough product and in some instances did not order the correct products to complete the job. The installers told us this was not the first time they had this problem with Mill Creek. Mill Creek's customer service is the worst we have ever experienced. When we called the sales woman to let her know we were unhappy with the timeframe and that some of the wood trim was not the correct color her response was "it is what it is." We spoke to the supervisor and response was that they knew the sales woman was awful, but she had been employed there forever and they couldn't let her go. The supervisor did not offer any apologies, and did not try to fix our problems. To make matters worse, the engineered floor that we spent over $12k for and that we were told had a 25 year warranty is now showing wear (losing color) on our stairs were it has the most traffic. This is after just over a year! We are experiencing extreme heartburn at the thought of having to contact them about the warranty and can only anticipate the less-than-stellar customer service we experienced at the beginning. We could really write a novel about the countless let-downs, but we're guessing their is a character limit on this review. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with Mill Creek. We will never again and are hoping to spare someone else from the agony. read more

We remodeled the downstairs of our home from the ceiling down to the concrete slab(1900 sf). Choosing Mill Creek for carpet was the absolute worst choice we could have made, and caused us the only problem we had with the entire remodel. We chose carpet that was toward the high end of their selections. Not 15 minutes after it was installed, my wife was picking up carpet strands left by their installers with a Hoover vacuum cleaner. This is not some high-power, carpet-damaging vacuum. It was a simple Hoover. The carpet frayed even though the vacuum was running less than 3 minutes. TWO employees from Mill Creek came to look at it and told us that they would "make it right." Now they refuse. I wish I had the time to stand outside their store and tell everyone thinking about stopping in what happened at our home. read more

"The Biggest Mistake I've ever made. " I contracted with this outfit to install $13000.00 of Italian Travertine Flooring in my home of 20 years. They hired SUBCONTRACTORS and CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 to install the flooring. The slab was not professionally leveled per my worthless contract. The flooring is consistently not level throughout my home and the grout lines are inconsistent because tile spacers were not used. When I contacted Mill Creeks RUDE MANAGEMENT they had some people come to my home and try to grind down the floors to make them more even. These people had some broken-down machine with one wheel missing. The result was the tile was ruined; the edges of the tile are broken off and the finish of the tile was destroyed. Mill Creek refused to arbitrate per the terms of their own contract. They told me to sue them that "They never lose." Ask around and check with the Better Business Bureau. If Mill Creek had not been in business for 30+ years their rating would not be too pretty. I learned my lesson. It's going to cost me $21000.00 to have this mess jack-hammered out of my home and replaced by professionals. Sadly, I don't think I want to go through this Horrible Undertaking. So I will probably sell a home I have loved "AS IS" thanks to this so called "Tulsa Tradition" Company. Mill Creek ruined my home, refused to correct their Horrible Job, refused to Arbitrate per the terms of Their Own Contract; and was going to place a lien on my property if I didn't pay for this disaster. Mill Creek in it's past generation was probably a professional company; but it is certainly not today. THEIR WORKERS ALSO DESTROYED A $4000.00 HENREDON CHEST IN MY HOME. BE WARNED !! read more

READ THIS BEFORE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH MILL CREEK!! Let me preface this saga by saying our first sales lady who helped us pick our granite was very nice and helpful. Our first issue, however, was when she didn't show up for the measuring appointment. We called her several times within a couple hours after she was supposed to show and either got her voicemail or she answered and hung up. We never heard back from her until a couple days later after we had already called and spoken with another sales rep. Turns out, she was sick that day and had to go home. I understand that people get sick, but I expect courtesy calls in those circumstances so people aren't just waiting around for someone who isn't going to show. She apologized profusely, so we continued doing business with her. The next problem occurred after the measuring "professional" came to template our countertops. We didn't question the quote we received and requested a change on the edging. The second quote was about $100 more than we expected, based on the change we made. At this point, we began to question the measurements they took. After we measured the linear feet for the edging ourselves, we determined that they recorded incorrect lengths on two sides. We received a new quote when we called and made our sales rep aware of the discrepancy (i.e., after some hem-hawing and excuses were made on the part of the sales rep). The new quote was several hundred dollars less than the incorrect quote. Less is great, yes, but we were wondering why it was so much less. This time I called the lady who was in charge of the measuring to get my questions answered. She was immediately familiar with our file and explained that when they looked at the measurements again (after we had asked them to do so), they realized that incorrect figures were made. Apparently the person doing the measuring and figuring was a "trainee" and didn't calculate the costs correctly. When I asked why the trainee was allowed to do the work on his own with no supervision, she said they don't have enough personnel to oversee all the work. I didn't see this as an acceptable answer, so I pushed further. She then proceeded to belittle me by asking what profession I am in and if I ever make mistakes. She said, "Sometimes our customers are charged more for a job while others are charged less. Mistakes just happen." When I expressed a desire to be compensated in some way for the inconvenience of them trying to overcharge me by several hundred dollars (again, they would not have caught the mistake if WE didn't ask them to refigure the square footage), she LITERALLY laughed out loud on the phone and said that was not something they do. She then repeated the line, "Mistakes happen." Not only was she extremely unprofessional, she had an attitude like I've never experienced from someone in customer service. I was so upset at the way she was treating me that my blood was boiling and I asked for her supervisor. He wasn't as ugly over the phone, but still had somewhat of an attitude. He offered to give us a full refund (which we took!) because the granite hadn't been cut and he had "a bad feeling" about the way we were doing business. I apologize for the long-winded story, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences that I've ever had and I really want to prevent someone else from using Mill Creek and being overcharged, belittled, or laughed at. There are lots of other granite choices out there - PLEASE heed my advice and the countless other negative reviews about Mill Creek that we have subsequently read on the internet. We ended up going with Permastone for our granite and were extremely happy with their product and service from start to finish. FIVE stars for Permastone, ZERO stars for Mill Creek!!!! read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had with a service vendor with Millcreek. I ordered tile countertop, backsplash, and floor installed along with a small piece of carpet. The flooring went OK. However, the backsplash and countertop took over 4 months to complete. I was told that this would all take THREE days. The tiler got to the job and did not have the correct tile. Several times, work was interrupted because they did not have the proper tile and it had to be ordered. During this four+ month period, the tiler would show up late or not at all. This caused me to miss work unnecessarily. The tile work was done so shoddily I wrote a complaint to Gary Gray, the supervisor of Gary Tallant who was my service representative to outline my concerns. Neither Gary bothered to call me and talk to me about it. I expected that as good customer service. I had to call THEM! Without discussing it with me, they sent out an expert with the tiler to show him how to do it correctly. Had I not called them, I may not have been there for this discussion! After that, it took still longer for them to repair it. In the end, the job looks OK. I do have a suspicion that there is no water proof barrier behind the backsplash. In addition, the tilers scratched my porcelain sink. I had taken great pains to keep the original sink in this kitchen and now it is damaged with ugly scratches. During this time, there was refuse from the job sitting outside my house for months at a time. I had paid half for this work up front. In the end, I had to hold the second half until all was complete, including removal of building materials from my driveway. I do not know what would have happened if I did not hold final payment...I'm not sure this job would have been done! When the last of the building materials was retrieved, I arranged for payment in my billpay system. No sooner did I have a chance to do this when I began receiving calls from Millcreek's accounting department saying that they are going to put a lien on my house! read more

I hired Mill Creek to renovate my master bathroom. My wife had just had surgery. The bathroom is upstairs, her pain medication was downstairs. After the tilers left we noticed her pain pills were short 20 pills. They were coming to finish the tile on Monday. I set up a camera in the kitchen where the pills were in a cabinet. After they left I checked the camera and the pills. All of the pills were taken and I had pictures of the tiler in my cabinet, they were asprin I had put in the bottle. I called Sam at Mill Creek, he didn't know the name of the person in my cabinet, just the other tiler. He told me to call the sherrif, which I did. They arrested him and he plead guilty to a lessor non felony charge. Mill Creek then sent me a bill for their labor, which I refused to pay. I contacted various lawyers and they all told me that Mill Creek will defend themselves very vigoriously and they really didn't want my business. I finally paid for one tilers labor and hope it is over. During this whole mess Mill Creek doubted my story and never claimed any responsibility for the thief. They never asked for the pictures and most upsetting didn't know the name of the person they sent to my house. I dealt with all levels of their management, no one at any level, was responsive to any of my problems, they disavowed any responsibility for the incident. Not a good experience, and I would not let anyone associated with Mill Creek into my home again. read more

Many issues for installing 1,200 sq ft. of carpet. 1. Sales representative ordered the wrong carpet, which Tori our sales rep admitted was their fault. 2. Second round of carpet arrived which was of poor quality, adhesive on the back of the carpet was ripping apart. Installers stated they could not install, would cause carpet to break down in about 12 months (I do appreciate them bringing this to our attention). 3. Instead of re-ordering the carpet, Mill Creek waited for a credit from the manufacture before re-ordering, so at this point we were going on 6 weeks for installation. 4. During the final installation, one of the carpet installers stated he had arthritis and could not move furniture, I moved the furniture which was covered within our bid. 5. Tori our sales rep lost our credit card information from our file, still concerned where our information ended up, had to provide credit card information three different times to three different people! 5. Once calling the sales rep and discussing our displeasure with the entire process, I then spoke with Gary the manager for the memorial/91st street and 41st stores. 6. He stated he would discuss the break-downs with his staff and call me back. He hasn't had the professionalism to follow-up on his commitments and return my call, which I would expect from a company like Mill Creek, been in business for a long time, and a local company. I like to use local companies, but recommend shopping other local carpet businesses, to many errors and hassles with Mill Creek. read more

I've had the worst experience with Mill creek carpet and tile. I bought a berber carpet to put down in new construction. the first time we took a vacuum cleaner to it, it started pulling out the yarn, which of course went from one end of the room to the other, showing the backing of the carpet. This happened not just once, but everytime we vacuum. My carpet is now 5 months old and looks like something I got out of the trash. Holes in it, yarn pulled out everywhere and the backing showing everywhere you look. It's embarrassing to have someone in my new home. When I contacted Mill creek, I too, experienced RUDE MANAGEMENT. Not just from the store where I bought the carpet (21st and Sheridan) but from the general manager over all the stores. I was told the carpet has no warranty and there's nothing they can do. They also told me it was my fault the carpet was falling apart, there has to be something wrong with my vacuum (which is new), or I have a nail coming out of a shoe that is snagging the carpet, or my dog is digging up the carpet and the excuses goes on. But never was it their fault or the defective carpet they sell. I got no satisfaction from management, although they suggested for $250 they would send out an appraiser to look at it. REALLY? Don't waste your money buying carpet or any floor covering from them. I'm convinced they sell seconds or worse, And they certainly don't stand by anything they sell. I should have just taken that money and went to the casino. At least I would have had some fun wasting my money. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING ANYTHING FROM MILL CREEK!!! read more
