I went here last weekend with a few friends to try out the U.K.'s only baseball batting cage…read more The cages have three speeds slow, medium and fast (60mph). There are also two types of ball, the traditional baseball and the larger softball. If you're a beginner then start on the slow speed, the medium will be too fast for you to hit straight away if you've never used a bat before. Try the slow for an hour then move up to medium after that. I had a great time playing baseball, we were there for a few hours. They give you two types of helmets, the traditional and one that also covers your face, which to be honest isn't needed on slow/medium speed as you have plenty of time to react to the ball. There's a grassy hill next to the cage where you can sit and await your turn. We brought ourselves a little picnic as we were there for a few hours. My only criticism it that each batting cage session lasts only an hour and after that you have to get an employee to start the machine again for your next hour. They should really be able to set it for the amount of hours that you are going to spend there. Sure it's a minor criticism but when you're in the flow you don't want a 10 minute gap every hour. The cost is £20 for one hour or £30 for two. Three hours is £50 :S The staff were nicey and the gentleman in charge of the batting cage was very friendly and helpful.

They also have other sports on offer such as baseball, softball and a gym. They also cater for parties and stag and hen nights. Great fun day out. Loved the baseball cages
