Mud. It's a problem. The surrounding water combined with any amount of rain leads to about half of the walking paths being coated in mud. Once the water subsides, the sidewalks and grass are covered with sand, too. Occasionally we've seen people bring finishing poles for the man made pond in the middle, but mostly it's just people and pups. There's plenty of parking and we enjoy taking walks by the river, but this park is in need of some Leslie Knope level effort when it comes to drainage!

Millrace Park and a look at the Flatrock River, a great place for a walk and a breath of nature.

I always enjoy walking through this area, especially in Spring. Get out and do some nature!! It's well worth it.

This park is a great place for walking or for hosting events. The park is set along the river front and features a large circular pond in the middle. A paved walking trail surrounds the park which is mostly shaded by mature trees. On the north side of the park is the Virgil Taylor covered bridge which is sturdy enough to still drive through. The bridge was originally in Brownsville, but Mr Taylor was able to bring the bridge to the park for the benefit of the people of Columbus. On the south side of the park is observation tower which (when it's open) can give a great view of the park and downtown Columbus. The observation tower was one of the sites featured in the 2017 independent movie "Columbus". To the east of the circular lake is a large amphitheater which seems to attract events to the park The park also has a basketball court, a playground near the parking lot on the east side, and several public art pieces. The park is well maintained and provides a refreshing green space between downtown and the river that is easily accessible. Review #842

The park is a fantastic place to run and bring your family. I love that it connects to Noblitt Park using the Columbus People Trail.

I've played basketball here and the courts are solid. They have nets and the court doesn't have too many cracks.

Park is pretty and clean. Feels safe but gets flooded easily. I love to see families walking around.

My granddaughters really like the "merry-go-round". The equipment is arranged by age group for toddlers up to 12 years old (although I climbed on a few things myself). Everything is clean with a ton of soft surface padding so the kids don't get hurt. There are drinking fountains, nearby restroom facilities and lots of picnic tables. Benches and small pavilions are scattered throughout the play area. The parking lots are huge with plenty of accessible spaces. The splash pad was closed for the season, but looked like fun. There is a paved walking trail that crosses the creek. Pet cleanup stations are available. A pickle ball court with 8 courts is really nice with covered seating area for spectators. A nice stage for concerts is across a large green space. This is a great little community park!

It was a hot day, so the splash pad was going and kids were having a great time. The splash pad has water features that come up from the ground, buckets of water that fall down over your head, and lots of benches (with shade!) for people to sit at. The playground is huge! It has multiple structures for kids of all ages, with a separate area for babies and toddlers. This is a great playground for kids who like to climb and parkour, because there is so so so much to play on. My kid was trying to get from one part of the playground to the other without touching the ground, and he was doing monkey bars, climbing on walls, going through rope obstacle courses and lots more. There are multiple slides, swings (with two-person swings where a grown up can swing with their kid) and musical instruments. The whole playground has a rubberized ground for soft landings. One of the best things about the playground at Youngs Creek Park is that there are lots of places with shade! This was especially appreciated because when we visited, it was a super sunny and hot day. There are lots of clean restrooms located near the amphitheater on the other side of the park. A little ways further are the pickle ball courts.

The park spans 127 acres and was previously owned by Cosco Products company, which hoped to create an employee recreational area, but it was never fully developed. The county received the property from the Cosco in 2007. The park's name, ECO, is an acronym derived from Employees of Cosco (ECO). The work "Lake" was added to the name to highlight the lake. The park runs along ECO Lake and has an ample amount of parking available. You will find a nice public boat launch that feeds right into the lake. There are also picnic tables and benches positioned in locations around the lake's perimeter. They provide very scenic views. The park has a sand volleyball court and a basketball court right next to each other. They are in fair to good shape. This park features a lot of green space, a moderate amount of shade, a picnic shelter with picnic tables under it, and a playground area. The playground area is not the most modern, but it is decent. It has a medium sized metal play structure with a bunch of slides, a net climber, and monkey bars. The playground also has a bank of traditional swings, monkey bars, and pull up bars. This is a very nice, low key park with lots of open pace. There is a gravel road that leads to the back of the park. That road will take you to camp sites and only registered campers are authorized to go past the gate. I like this park, but think it is just in a bad location. It could use a little bit of an upgrade such as a new shelter because the current one is in bad repair and maybe a restroom facility. They current have a port a potty there, that is located by the shelter and playground area. Definitely a nice place to visit and get access to the lake. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
