Room was cozy but very small. Very noisy, you hear and feel when people walk in the hallway or take shower. The temp outside was in the 80's and the window air conditioner provided barely adequate cooling. The gaps around it were sealed with tape; I'd hate to stay there when its cold outside. Difficult to set the shower temperature. Bed and linens comfortable. The grounds are pretty and well landscaped. The property sits right on the water with beautiful views. There are several common areas that offer cozy couches with coffee tables. The adjacent restaurant is not cheap but their food was delicious - my halibut was perfectly cooked with lots of finesse. Their lobster bake was rich, creamy, tasty and came with toasted pesto pita slices - it was worth the $18. Breakfast is included and was good. Cereal, bagels, yoghurt, juice, sausage and eggs toast, muffins etc. Short on fresh fruit though. Coffee was very good. Staff was friendly and service minded. We checked in late and were hungry and the front desk clerk found us some muffins. So...if you bring earplugs for sleeping you should be OK.

They have combined the welcoming informal atmosphere of a cottage with the elegance and charm of a resort. What is your pleasure? You will find it here: golf down the road, fresh mussels and lobster, relax around the outside fire pit, take a hike or bike ride. The best part is that you are minutes away from Charlottetown AND the best beaches in Canada. If you are searching for one location - home base if you will - while visiting PEI - look no further. Great for kids, great for couples and great for weddings and corporate meetings. Loving it. Oh, look, the sun is coming out...another beautiful day - off to golf now!!

Once we were settled we inquired about dining options and he marked them on a map of the area. In the morning the manager, Rod, was able to help us narrow down some places we could visit during our stay in Charlottetown and on our last morning he suggested a route for us to take getting to Cape Breton. He even told us to call the hotel if we had any issues in finding our way there. Our room was located on the top floor, same side as the front of the hotel. It was a decently sized room with a desk, tv, armchair and closet. The bathroom was a decent size but the shower stall was quite small and the water took a long time to warm up. Our on last morning we let the manager know that we enjoyed our stay but that the mattress was way too soft for our liking and he let us know that he's heard the same comment from other guests and that the mattress is actually new. In our section of the hotel there were a few rooms with a (small) common kitchen, dining table and a sitting area. Within the whole hotel there were a few common sitting areas both indoor and outdoors. By the front entrance there were coffee and ice machines along with filtered water. Breakfast was served in two dining rooms. There was all the makings of a continental breakfast (toast, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, cereal) and servers would come by periodically to take orders from their menu and remove plates. There was a selection of six items to choose from and most came with locally grown potatoes (omelette, scrambled eggs or tofu, eggs benedict, oatmeal, waffles). Portions aren't big but if it's not enough then it's easy to grab some toast or yogurt to go along with it.

Our room was so big, had a kitchenette and a balcony. The bathroom worked great, the shower pressure was wonderful and the whole facility was clean, quaint and just beautiful! It's simply gorgeous. The "row" houses attached to hotel are also rooms. They offer a full breakfast in one of the sitting rooms downstairs. They have gluten-free and vegan options. It's really very well done. They also offer happy hour or cocktail hour actually every evening from 5 to 7 in the sitting room, Monday through Friday. Our double room was beautifully designed and decorated. Parking (Free) on site right outside the hotel door. We had a really beautiful stay here. Canadian hospitality at its finest. Highly recommended this boutique hotel.

Some of the staff is a little novice, but their can-do-attitude more than makes up for their lack of experience. Rooms were very clean and spacious. I loved the deep bathtubs for a soak. Continental breakfast was nice, though eating in the common-room was a little challenging. Coffee available 24 hours a day was great, fresh cookies in the afternoon/evening is a nice touch. The hotel is located directly across from the Basilica, a half-block from Victoria-row (for shopping and food), so very convenient, and tons of character (compared to a chain-hotel). They offer free parking, though it is limited (so park early to ensure you get a spot!). Free wifi too! If I come back to Charlottetown, I would definitely stay here again.

You never know what you're going to get with a Quality Inn. This one has some unique charm. When I…read morepulled in, I noticed this hotel still had window-insert air-conditioners in many of the rooms. My room, on the first floor, had room control, but it also had a window facing a lawn area which could be left open. I really liked that because after a week of "hotel air" elsewhere, it was nice to open a window on a warm summer night in PEI for fresh air. You can get a view of the water from the back of the hotel, but you don't really have waterfront access. For that you'll have to go down Water St., along the harbor and boardwalk. There is a beach at Linkletter about 10 minutes away. This hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, and a small exercise room with a nautilus and elliptical. The interior corridor is open for both floors, sort-of like a large enclosed porch, with plenty of comfortable chairs. Your room also has an interior window looking into this area, so be sure to close your curtains! They provide complimentary coffee and tea, but not a complimentary breakfast. There is a breakfast area where you can order various items at quite reasonable prices. They are also affiliated with a restaurant next door where you can have dinner. But there are some important things of which you should be aware before considering this hotel: - Many rooms have a walk-in shower instead of a tub - There is no elevator to get to the 2nd or 3rd floors - The hotel offers Wi-Fi, and you'll have no problem connecting to it with your PC or your iDevices. However, Android smartphone users will not be able to connect at all, and the hotel cannot provide any help on that.

This is your typical hotel, the amenities were all relatively new and the room was clean. I didn't like that the back entrance to where our hotel room was situated was not locked despite having key reader access. I'm sure the area is safe, but it would have felt better if it locked. I thought the breakfast was sufficient and delicious. I would stay here again.

First, let me say that I'm somewhat of a germophobe so I don't like hotel carpet...the floor in this hotel was beautiful! Wood floors throughout! The service was also outstanding. Christine checked us in and when we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, she was able to upgrade our room! She also made several recommendations for dinner and was just so helpful! Everyone we came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. I'd like to also mention Emilie who was taking care of the breakfast area and stopped what she was doing to take our tray when she saw that we were finished. Overall, an amazing experience! I can't think of a bad thing to say about it...I wanted to move in!

Having stayed at Hampton's in England I was expecting a good quality hotel. On that front I was not…read moredisappointed. The staff were very helpful on checkin and always about the hotel with a smile. The room I had was a king room which has ample space for one or even two people. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath in it, which some Hampton's in England don't always have. The room was clean and tidy and the work area was of a good standard. The free wifi runs throughout the hotel and was good considering it was free. It's not the fastest but it was quick enough for my needs. They do advertise that they have a premium service but unless you need to download films or the like I'm not sure you need it. The hotel seemed very popular with families on vacation as there were many families with young children there during my stay. I would say they have a daily turn over as those families I spoke with said it was a convenient stop over on the way to somewhere or on the way home. They have a pool with a water slide which was very popular with those families, they also have a small gym with some CV equipment and free weights. The only negatives I have about the hotel are the breakfast, it's very repetitive and limited in choice. The actual breakfast area is too small for the number of people using it. There is no resturant or bar area. They do (according to the sigh) have a lounge area a few evenings a week where you can get a 'night cap'. Because of these things I can only go to 3 stars. I would recommend it if you are only in for a night or two any longer than that and you may struggle. It is conveniently located by the high way which is a positive and no more than 20 minutes from Moncton airport.
