It was very informational and neat to see a little piece of history. Once we were done there we got on the Bridge walkway. We did not realize how long the Park Trail was, which is 17 miles! We decided we are going to rent some bikes when it gets a little warmer and try our hand at finishing the path. However, we did walk some of it though, and it was beautiful. There are restrooms, a play ground, a few different docks, an amphitheater for outdoor concerts & events, picnic pavilions, a snack bar, and more. I especially love the walking path that goes along the lake, and my daughter and I like to spot gators in the water or sunning themselves on land. Last time we were here we saw gators, raccoons, squirrels, the cutest wild bunnies and a variety of large & small birds including roseate spoonbills. There are plenty of benches along the path and it's really nice to be able to sit down and watch the view and the wildlife. V

During, the days it can be a quiet peaceful place to walk. In the summers and evenings it can get busy but it's such a large park it doesn't feel crowded. There is free always parking. First of…read moreall, Dr. Phillips Community Park sits on a small lake so it has a pretty view when you drive up. There is no swimming in the lake allowed however because of wildlife. Near the lake, there is a large playground for kids. It has slides, swings, and climbing structures. It's gated which is nice for the kids' safety (but parents/caregivers should still watch their kids!). They also have a splash pad next to the playground. In addition to the playground, there are lots of sidewalks all around to walk on. It's perfect if you want to get those steps in. There is a basketball court, sand volleyball court, dog park, and picnic tables. I saw a sign for occasional community events as well on the bulletin board near the bathrooms. We would love to come back to this park again when in the Dr. Phillips area of town!

Agnes was active in social work and their church. In 1932 City Commissioners named Brinson Park in the couples honor. Brinson Park is a 3 acre open space park located next to Lakefront Park in Kissimmee. A linear park along Lakeshore Boulevard connects Brinson Park to Lakefront Park. Amenities at Brinson Park include BBQ grills, a fishing pier, picnic tables, restrooms that were added in 2015 and wetlands that attract a variety of wildlife. During my visit a family was enjoying a picnic and I admired the beautiful view while spotting several Florida wading birds. It is a pleasant place to walk and I like how it is connected to other parks.
