Millbrook Exchange Park Tennis is hands down one of the best places to play in Raleigh! I went the other night after 8pm and had the best time. They have plenty of courts, which makes it easy to find a spot to play without feeling crowded. The courts are always super clean and very well maintained. The lighting at night is excellent it feels bright and safe, which makes evening matches really enjoyable. Parking is convenient and stress-free, and I also appreciate that there's staff on-site until closing, which adds an extra sense of security. Whether you're playing casually with friends or getting in some serious practice, this park is such a gem. I'll definitely be backnight tennis here is unmatched! read more

Five stars for this excellent park that features all sorts of excellent recreational options. - 23 hard surface tennis courts with timer lights - 4 backboards and a ball machine available - Indoor pool with lap lanes - Free lighted dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs - 2 picnic shelters with grills - 2 concrete basketball courts - 3 baseball fields (one of them 301 feet to the fence!) - 2 rubber-surface playgrounds The park is well set back from the main road and had a ton of parking. Not perfect as could use more shady areas. However, spacious with some climbing structure and benches. Best part is that there is a small dog area, in between areas and very large big dog area. Also its in lot with playground, indoor pool and community center. Bonus if your dog will not 'run off' as there is some peripheral trails, paved and unpaved adjacent the fenced area. On the plus side, the dog park has a hilly terrain, good running spaces and lots of trees. Water is available for dogs. On the minus side, dog poop everywhere. Attendees must not watch their dogs closely and/or just don't clean up. The times we've been, there is a "jury" of 5-7 people watching who comes in, what the dog does, etc. it's not very welcoming. Didn't notice any of that group grab a bag and clean up. We'll stick with Oakwood and/or Dix parks. read more

I just moved to this area of Raleigh and have been trying to explore the local parks since I'm a big fan of walking trails and going for picnics. My boyfriend and I discovered Millbrook Exchange Park just by driving by so we decided to check it out for a little bit. This park isn't my favorite kind of park (because I don't play sports or have a dog) but it does seem to be a great place for families or for people with children who like to participate in recreational sports. There is a lot to do on the property and they have community events posted on the board as well. Be warned: Many, many people I crossed paths with at this park were not wearing facemasks. I understand we are outside but it's still a public space and the sidewalks are not wide enough to be able to social distance properly! The grounds were well clean and I can't recall seeing any trash or debris on the ground. There are baseball fields, a tennis club, an indoor pool, large dog park, community center, playgrounds, picnic shelters with grills, and more. Lots of shaded space and many pretty flowers and big trees to admire as well. There is a TON of parking here. They have a parking lot near the entrance by the baseball fields, a lot near the playground and community center, and a few more including one by the tennis club and another by the pool. The weather was absolutely beautiful on Saturday and, even though we only stayed for about an hour or so to walk around and check it out, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend this park to others. read more

Went swimming here with my 4 children. 80% of the pool is roped off for lanes. No diving boards or slides. My kids were the only ones in the pool and they got a whistle blown on them 5 times for the dumbest things including them tossing a splash ball to each other. I took my youngest to the outside wade pool and my kids got in trouble because they can't be in the big pool without an adult if they're under 13. I can't be in two places at once. And I was in the open space right next to the pool. The lifeguards are rude and anal. Never coming back. read more

As of July 27 the splash pad is closed until further notice. Playground has two playscapes: one for children 2-5 and other for 5-12. Multiple benches but no shade. read more

Millbrook Exchange Park (or Exchange Park or Millbrook Park, whichever people like to call it) is located off Spring Forest Rd, and put you in between two different kinds of crowd: Millbrook High School and North Ridge Country Club. I come here, lately for the pool facility, since it's close to the dive shop, and since it's community facility everyone in my class has easy access to it. However, since it is a community pool, and being so close to the school, most of the time you will find swim meets and young swimmer training classes, so the ratio of swimmers under 6 years old and swimmers over 6 years old can be overwhelmingly large. I also came to the dog park here once. Like most public dog parks there is a separation between the small breed area and larger breed area. My dogs are tiny but very sociable, so if I come here and the only other dogs are in the large breed area, I would take mine over there, but constantly keeping my eyes on them just to be sure they will be safe. Exchange Park also have a recreation center, and a community center that offer some classes like painting, or I heard they even offer canine obedience training as well. read more

A nice way to spend a hot summer day if you are a Raleigh resident who does not have a pool. The park provides access to theirs for a small fee of $2-$4. Their is plenty of parking and some shaded areas around pool. My 3stars are for The sprayground.. always has some fountains that are not working. I also wonder why the no running rule is in effect..kinda ruins the fun of running thru the sprinklers. read more

Love going to millbrook for..the dog park! Best one in the area..back when i lived in Cary, you had to PAY a membership fee to use the dog park! Millbrook is free for all to enjoy. Because of that, there are always a good amount of dogs here, and of course you will occasionally run into the dog that shouldn't be at the dog park..but that's inevitable when it comes to dog parks. Millbrook is always clean (I've never seen piles of dog poo!) and owners are respectful of the rules. Water buckets are always full and my dog loves it! read more

I come here for the Level 1 swim class for babies and toddlers. The pool is colder than most of the other infant/toddler swim programs we have been to. I adjusted by putting a swim shirt on my son. The instruction is decent and the staff is all very friendly. They remember my sons name and that makes us feel welcomed and at home. The women's locker room is on the smaller side but we never seem to have difficulty getting into the showers right away or have a space to sit and change. They have lap swimming (which I intend to take advantage of) and it is pretty empty on weekday mornings. We are mostly excited for the new playground to open. It is colorful and there is a play area for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. It opens in about a month and a half . Perhaps sooner if they are ahead of schedule. read more

Millbrook Exchange is a great, well equipped, busy little park nestled down Spring Forest road here in Raleigh. It contains the usual playground equipment and basketball courts but also features two dog parks (one for small breeds and one for large), a small walking trail, a pool, splash pad, tennis courts and a community center. I usually come for the dog park but also love to wander around the other areas while walking my pup so i've seen most of the park minus the community center and pool. I've always been impressed with how well maintained the park is and how friendly most of the people who visit are. I've never had any issue with rude children or adults nor have I noticed trash lying about or dog poo on the ground. The only thing I have a tiny issue with is how the small dog park has none of the same features of the large dog park....No pools, no platforms, nothing really fun at all. I have brought my toy poodle into the large dog area once so he could play with some of the fun features but he was too timid around the bigger and much more playful dogs so we ended up going and playing alone in the small dog area instead. Other than that small issue I really do enjoy this park and i'm glad it's so close to my house! read more

Pool is small but well kept. Don't come here if you can't swim. The lifeguards are all 14 and do nothing but look at their phones.
