This place is truly a joke. They put me on anti seizure medication, but "forgot" to put in a refill number so now I have to wait 3 days for them to call it in, and then wait to get the meds filled. But don't worry they'll always make sure you come in for an appointment so they can get all the money they can out of you. If I had better insurance I'd go somewhere else in a heartbeat! read more

I never write bad reviews. In fact, I'm going to start this review by complementing all the doctors and their staff that I encountered in the short period of time I was a Millennium patient. They were all very courteous and kind. However, when a physicians group acts unethically I feel like everyone should know. I had my first appointment with the Millennium Physician Group in July in order to establish care. My co-pay for a regular office visit with my doctor is $40. If I was to see a specialist, my co-pay would be $70. A couple of weeks later I needed to make an appointment for a medical reason. When I called the office, they told me that my physician was not in, but I could see the physicians assistant. That was fine with me. I made my appointment and they reminded me before we hung up that I needed to pay my $40 co-pay when I arrived. I had my appointment with the PA, received a referral and paid my $40 co-pay. About a week later I received a bill for $30. When I called the billing office, a very nice woman answered. I told her I really wasn't sure why I've been charged an extra $30. She told me that's been happening a lot and she would take care of it. The phone call ended. The next week I received a bill for $70. I again called the billing office. They told me that since I saw the physicians assistant it was a $70 co-pay (the co-pay amount to see a specialist) and I would have to take the charges up with my insurance company. When I called my insurance company they said the physicians office charged for a specialist visit so the insurance company is only going to pay what they would pay for a specialist. They said the billing office would need to rebill using the term "corrected claim" in order for me to pay the regular office visit of $40. After a lot of back-and-forth with the billing office with the final call of me asking for a supervisor. A supervisor was conveniently not available, but I left a message on her voicemail. No one returned my call. They did however send a message through my patient portal saying that they spoke with my insurance and I would have to appeal through my insurance. Apparently some insurance companies allow a physician's office to charge for a specialist visit when a patient sees a nurse practitioner or a physicians assistant even if it's at your primary physician's office. Though it may be legal, there should've been some transparency when I made the appointment that I would have to pay more. I would have just waited the next week to see my primary doctor. The fact that I went to my regular physicians office and saw a physicians assistant, not a regular doctor and was charged more is absolutely ridiculous! Being a new patient this leaves a very sour taste in my mouth at how slimy this company actually is. read more

I needed to get into to a physician for a couple of health issues. My sister gave me her physician's name & number. I called and setup an appointment for a week later. I got paperwork to fill out ahead of time a couple of days before the appointment. It's for a different dr 2 and half hours away! I then called the office & told them my problem. The appointment was made with the wrong dr! My sister's dr isn't available for 6 weeks. They look for a different dr in Fort Myers. Appointment made for 2 weeks later. 2 days before the appointment & they cancel my appointment because the dr doesn't see new patients back to back. what! I've been with this group for 7 years and did I see such a dysfunctional company as they are now. My recent visit to the er is proof. A representative assigned at Shorepoint spoke to me for 15 minutes with all kinds of promises to help me with my stroke and I never saw or heard from her again after 4 days and my phone calls to a anonymous person. The app and website offers no contact information at all. I feel sorry for all the doctors who work for this company because they are frustrated too. I need home health they promised now and they're not here or at least calling me. This a bad greedy company only. This is a profit driven company that gives 0 ****s about you. Every test I have the results through a portal and not once, has anything been discussed with me. I received prescriptions with no instructions, follow up tests without explanation. Most recently I am being referred to a cardiologist.And the only reason I know this is because the cardiologist's office called me to make an appointment.. My primary physician or his office still have not reached out to me despite my communications with them requesting more information. read more

DR times two different at same location. First Dr. seemed to ask me how much milligrams for a cholestrol pill. When another issue she wanted to send me to a specialist when all was needed was an antibotic. The third issue was when my numbers on an item needed to be adjusted she decided that wasnt important to remain the same although, no other Dr. would leave it the same. The second Dr. what a ........ jumps to conclusion before He ever enters the room of what is needed and why things happened. Wants to give his argumentive professional opinion after never asking why or what is going on. He assumes he knows why you went to the ER. Would never go to a physcian assistant who doesnt know how to treat people or inquire before assuming. Which both things were wrong. I wasnt there for the reason he decided I was there for. Worst health care around. Maximum visits for maximum out of pocket expense. Your health is not their care. Their care is as many visits as possible. Millennium neglected my care placing my life at risk. Millennium doctors were unable to properly have a prescription filled or send me to a specialist. Do not waste your time--you WILL regret it! While they hire good people, the Millenium system is designed to keep the patient away from the Dr. Call and wait times are consistently excessive, including consistant hangups after 20 minutes of waiting.  Calls are rarely returned, despite promises. Their policy is to make you use the portal, which promises messages will be answered in one business day.  My 3 years experience is that is will be 2 business days and the reply will be unintelligible as is it typed in such haste that it does not make sense.  I printed out a few of these and took them to my walking group, asking if anyone could make sense of it.  Everyone tsk tskd in response, saying your question is clear, the reply only creates more confusion. I know the person speaks excellent English, but is too harried to reread their answer to make sure it is coherent. You will not talk to a nurse, you will nver talk to a Dr. unless it is during an appointment. You will get piecemeal care as you will find yourself at their walk-in clinic ($128) for an issue that, before Millenium, was dealt with by a phone call to the nurse. I would be happy to pay for a telemedicine fee (around $50), which is about half what a walk-in clinic fee is, if that was the issue, which it is not. Twice now, it has taken over a week to get a prescription on an expired script that was discussed at my semi-annual appointment where it was agreen that it would be renewed when I requested it. I can't waste any more time with Millenium. read more

this group is by far the worst medical group I have ever encountered. No care or concern, total lack of response when needing a prescription refill. My husband is a diabetic and has been on jardiance for years. After his initial visit with Matt Shaver PA, he was given all new scripts for his meds - only one month though. we have new insurance that won't cover jardiance and the manufacturer coupon will only allow up to $175 off with insurance. so no help there and the Medicatiion is nearly $600 for a months supply. we called Matt Shaver over a week ago to ask for an alternative med and it's been crickets. He's a diabetic for goodness sakes!!!! How about some attention!!! Then I needed a refill for one of my meds that he only wrote for one month and three days later - I called the office and he hasn't reviewed it yet! What a joke!!! You take the time, pay the money, seek medical help for co nditiond, do everything you're supposed to do, and the PA can't even take the time to email in (or in reality tell someone else to email it in) the life saving medications the direct you to take. Stay away from this group and this PA. They won't and don't care!!! read more

The office located at 12995 S Cleveland Ave Ste 184, Fort Myers, FL 33907 is the most unprofessional office I have ever come across. Very nasty front office staff. Stay far far away! After waiting 45 minutes I was told the Dr was running behind and would be at least another hour but only after I questioned what was going on. There was no other person in the dr's office besides me which should have been a sign. i will never ever use this office for any reason. Do yourself a favor and go to a different office. read more

Being new to the area I decided to check out Millenium. I called to schedule an adult physical exam. I was told that there would be a two month wait and that first I would need to have a new patient meeting. Having a high deductible plan I inquired about reason and cost. The cost was $280 (likely not covered by insurance, if so certainly subject to deductible). The reasoning was this is, "how the doctor gets to know you." What an awful money grab. Why this discussion wouldn't be covered in the adult well exam is beyond me; other than, they aren't paid what they want to be paid for, for that exam. I would be very concerned by a doctor's office that heaps on costs such as this. Feels like a bad mechanic. read more

Went to Millenium Lab in Punta Gorda, this AM. Several of the staff were busy ordering lunch and or getting their debit/credit card from their car. One technician needed help and had to interupt the lady that was ordering if she could hang up and help her, with a patient and she said she would call right back. A s--- show at a dumpster fire. Although physicians and staff are fantastic, customer service is practically nonexistent. One can't contact their physicians office directly, but rather has to go through a centralized scheduling center or the patient portal. No one EVER answers the phone and return calls are rarely if ever made when messages are left, Receiving a response via the portal is hit and miss at best. The Group needs to seriously look at how they handle patient/physician communication and fix the issues that make dealing with MPG an infuriating, frustrating, nightmare. read more

Millennium Physicians Group BEWARE!!!! I will post this everywhere I can!!! I AM SHOCKED at the lack of professionalism. My husband was seen on Tuesday morning. He has been to the practice several times in the past year and half. He has a sinus infection and received medications for bronchial inflammation and an antibiotic. By Thursday afternoon he began coughing and at times could not "catch his breath" I called the office at 4:45 (the office closes at 5). The receptionist was very helpful. She stated she would give the information to the nurse who would call that same afternoon. As of 9:30 am on Friday no one had returned my call. Which is unfortunate but is NOT the reason I will be contacting any and every professional registry I can. So I called again at 9:30 and while on hold for 10 minutes decided to drive to the office. When someone came back to the phone, I stated we are walking in right then. As a Registered Nurse of 30 years I was shocked that the staff left my husband in the lobby coughing uncontrollably. I am not over emphasizing or dramatizing in anyway. As a nurse I was very concerned that he would need an immediate breathing treatment. The receptionist returned from speaking to the nurse. She informed us that the physician my husband saw on Tuesday would not be back into the office until Monday. There was nothing that they could do because the office is not a walk in clinic on Fridays. I was so shocked that she had to repeat it several times. The only reasons I could imagine for nit seeing a patient experiencing sustained and continual shortness of breath are 1- they are not a patient or 2- they owe money. My husband has been a patient at this location for several years and we do not owe them money. BE CAREFUL WHEN ENTERING THIS LOCATION The front office staff are triaging and they are not healthcare professionals. And if this is triaging by nursing staff, retraining is necessary. I just want to warn others. And as serious as it was, I am glad it was nothing more serious. My husband could have stopped breathing and be dead in the lobby. read more

Back office customer service is non-existent. Sent an email last week, no response yet. That was after I called their phone center (which I think is nothing more than a ruse) and after being place on hold, THEIR phone system terminated the call. Called again yesterday, went into their general voice mail box where the recording said all calls received by 4 pm would be returned by the end of the day -- NOT!!! Just called again and went again into their voice mail Black Hole. Why would anyone trust this organization with their health when they can't even be bothered to return a f@#$ing phone call??? I have been with the former named group (Internal Medical Associates) for over 6 years. Recently, they were taken over by Millennium. Things have gone down hill rapidly. To be specific, there is no follow up whatsoever for needed prescription refills or medical supplies. I contacted them for CPAP resupplies more than a month ago and have never received supplies, a promised phone call to tell me the status of my order or anything to tell me what I might have to do to get something accomplished. Each time I called, the receptionist would look up my records and verify that I previously called and was promised a follow up call at to the status of my request. Over and over, there has never been a follow up call and my request to this day (over a month later) has not been acted upon. I cannot imagine any worse customer service. No one seems to care about patient needs. This group should have their license revoked.I love my PCP docoter in the group, but the administration (as well as some of the other Doctors) are horrible! read more

Avoid at all costs. The employees are too unorganized and rushed to take you seriously or actually listen to your needs. Dr. Fernandez would rather just send you out for testing asap than listen to what might be wrong or examine you. They also sent me to out of network providers for testing when I told them I had to be covered. My PCP group recently went to Millennium and I'm done. I have waited no less than 7 minutes on hold each of the 3 times I've called. Today, I waited 7+ minutes and requested to speak with the office staff to clarify an issue that the call center wasn't involved in. The rep PUT MY CALL BACK IN THE QUEUE where I waited another 3 minutes. As a previous call center supervisor and a patient, these are both unacceptable. Unfortunately, at my next PCP visit, I will let them know that I'll have to change providers. This was a poor business decision by this practice. read more

This is the worst worst experience! I need an appt with my Doctor! I called at 10:30 and answering service and they I'll get a call back in 24 to 72 hours! I call back at 12:30 get answering service saying they are having a large amount of calls. They told me that last call! So I get in the car and drive the 1 minute up there! Empty waiting room and no phones ringing! Hunh? I said I want to see a Dr.! My last experience here with the Nurse was aweful! Even though I hadn't been there since 2006 they took me in 2016! So today they tell me I haven't been here since 2016 I need to fill out New Patient papers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have insurance. What the hell are these people doing? They advertise you can get medical care but can you? I tried to send a message to what loked like a corperate site and it wouldn't go through! Go figure! I'mtrying to get care now because I'm having heart issues! I need medicine! And apperently whom I thought I could always depend on I now cannot! Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced in all my years of going to doctors. No communication between doctors, staff and patients. If you call all you get is a recording and sit on hold for hours. Good luck with prescription refills. First they tell you to call ahead. Then they tell you that you are calling to early. Twice did not get my refills after days on the phone trying to get it done. Then was told I was due to see the doctor, which they never told me. Since I was complaining about their service, they decided to drop me as a patient!!!! Tried speaking to the head person in charge...never received a call back. Good luck with the Millinneum Group! The clinic on Del Prado sucks as did their principal nurse, who was fairly incompetent as well as unfriendly, but the other staff were real nice. Nurse Ratchett led me to believe she was refilling my blood pressure and cholesterol meds so I repeatedly went to the drugstore but they knew nothing. When I finally called Ratchett back she said she changed her mind and I needed to see a doctor. So why in the hell didn't she call and tell me that instead of wasting my time repeatedly? Go to PPC instead -- much nicer and more competent PAs and nurses. read more

Warning! Please be sure to go over every detail on your bill. The billing office does not put correct diagnosis codes on their bills, leaving you to pay for procedures your insurance should have covered. Also, they have the nerve to send me an e-mail about my balance of $25 when they have owed me over $30. for the past 4 months. They do not send patients back their overpayments unless you call and ask them to and then they tell you it will be 6-8 weeks for processing. Was also recently at a Millenium office with my friend and they wanted him to pay his 20% Medicare coinsurance and he actually has a credit balance as well that they never returned. When I brought this to the check-in person's attention, she told me she couldn't use the credit to cover today's charges, then told me if my friend didn't pay she would have to ask the Doctor if she would even see him. This is ludicrous to say the least. I've done medical billing for over 20 years, so they can't pull much over on me, but I feel sad for the rest of their patients who don't know any better.
