I am also happy with how they routed my irrigation system. There are the occasional weeds growing through the weed guard, but I think that's inevitable. The bad: Most of the trees they planted ended up dying because they were planted incorrectly. All trees are on the same irrigation system that they routed, so they all received the same amount of water. 7/10 trees died. I pulled them out and saw that they didn't prepare the soil correctly and didn't spread the roots out after transplanting the trees. The ugly: The gate install was a complete disaster. They put the gate frame on backwards which cause the gate to have uncontrollable sagging. Also, the gate lock was put on backwards.

Just over a year ago when we moved into our current home, we put our trust in John to redo our…read morebackyard landscape and concrete work. The backyard was a disaster since the home had been vacant for a few years. During the project, we added a waterfall to our slope as a last-minute change order. We left the waterfall design entirely up to John. He created an absolutely beautiful waterfall and installed it within a week or two, including the ability to turn the waterfall on and off from inside the house (really cool!). During the first year, we had some difficulty with the waterfall's continuous operation, but each time John was able to resolve the issue. The last time the waterfall went down, about 3 months ago, John identified the pump was defective and replaced it with a new one at no cost. The waterfall has since been running continuously without any problems. As a side note, the day before John was coming out to install the new pump, I broke a water line while trying to dislodge a hose that was frozen to the hose bibb. When I mentioned this to John and mentioned the quotes I had from plumbers to fix, he offered to fix it for substantially less. Thank you, John! John has a natural eye for landscaping and during this past year, he has come up with many suggestions that have enhanced our original landscaping plans. The only reason for 4 stars is we are still in the process of refining the backyard landscape with John, replacing a few plants that died, and adding more color. After we are completely done landscaping the backyard, I will do a follow-up review. I am hoping to be giving John 5 stars!

In our opinion, based on our personal experience with Daniel and this company, they do Poor work…read more We had cracks in our concrete within days because he saved costs for HIMSELF by putting rocks underneath, he didn't follow our instructions. His guys don't even know the proper way to plant a tree. They planted an expensive tree too far down and it's almost completely dead, we will probably lose it. They don't know how to tie a tree to make sure it grows straight the right way. He claimed he knew how to do certain things but clearly doesn't. He cut corners to save himself money but still charged us for what amount of concrete he claimed he needed. This isn't even all of the issues. Daniel is extremely combative/argumentative when you tell him they messed up and try to get him to do it correctly. My father who designed our landscaping even took the time to teach him things he didn't know. Daniel got upset because a separate project to build a couple things for us, he thought he would quote us high and when we went with another company who was normally priced he got upset. My father said he wants the things fixed first that he's been putting off fixing (things that his guys messed up) but Daniel has no interest on completing our job the right way. He never finished the job, he never came back to fix all the things they screwed up, he just "ghosted" us. We have done landscaping on at least 5 homes in my lifetime and have NEVER had this many issues with a Landscaping Company. I personally would never use this company again and I would NOT recommend him. For reference, our landscaping totals were over $30,000 for what we wanted. Unacceptable business practices.
