I leave this review after receiving five months of physical therapy for shoulder issues. When I first started they came up with the sound set of exercises that I could do and I had a routine for every session but I had. Leah is the head of the physical therapy team. She always asks about your pain level and assesses you each day. However there is a little amount of supervision at this establishment. They seem to be understaffed and have to many patients. I actually just switch physical therapists and I'm getting physical therapy at a nearby location, which does a much more thorough job. The fact is that although they are very nice at downtown spine the quality of treatment is sub par. The availability of appointments is pretty good. They usually have many spots open. However they are not open very early in the morning. And if you are getting treatment towards the end of the day, things can seem rushed. Another thing that really bothered me about downtown spine was that you always had different physical therapists working on you. One or two of them are very good at what they do. The rest are average and often don't know exactly what you need as far as your treatment program. Some of them don't even seem to know how to stretch you the correct way. Hope this helps!

After one initial visit (believing in chiropractic services over the last 30 years without hesitation), I have now had doubts on the validity of their internal practices. While DOCTOR FERNANDE is definitely empathetic and truly wants to help heal your maladies, their internal staff and practices are very questionable. My second visit there was because of an auto accident and after the internal staff was very alluring on the outside the inside has much to be appreciated when rotten. I was readmitted after my accident, as a new patient under insurance terms instead of personal payments and the price hike was astounding. After trying to adjust or at least be seen they told me that I should revoke my admissions to their office simply because my insurance wouldn't take it instead of paying my regular cash only price that I was originally offered. IRS, are you watching? I highly recommend no one ever step foot in this office they are not out for your well-being they're out for your money and they will only see you as far as my experience here go, if you have insurance issues that will pay their higher insurance prices. In my 9 months visiting (or doing telehealth) 2-3x weekly for my ACL tear & post-surgery rehab from March to November 2020, he answered all of my endless questions about surgery and recovery, and helped me buy what I needed to successfully recover more than my original strength at home. He is very communicative. His office makes figuring out insurance easy. I would not recommend…read more I initially got a rave review from a coworker. I was dealing with sciatica issues and a lower lumbar disc herniation. On Sept 6th I had my first and only session. I sent my MRIs. I talked about desiring a PT program. The person I met with "K" wanted to do some chiropractic adjustments. I was in so much pain after K's adjustments I needed to lean against the wall to stand. K saw how in pain I was, but just went back to his computer like this was normal. There were two front desk representatives. They also saw me leaning against the wall and just diverted their attentions to their computers. I was so horrified at all the pain and utter lack of compassion, I just cried. Took me a couple hours to get home. Some other points: The facility has a dog on site. I have no clue what the purpose of the dog is. Various staff had come in and out of the session room I was in with K. Knowing looks would be shared between staff, which indicated to myself that attention was easily pulled from focusing on patients. I wrote Johnny wanting a solution. He recommended I go to a different PT center entirely. I was hoping he would have used the opportunity to look over my charts, ask me to come back in, reassess. Nope. This is why I can't recommend. If Warrior NYC is so committed to their patients and understanding body mechanics they should jump at the chance to fix any situation that left their patients in debilitating pain. At the least, offer a refund, yet that would probably admit to incompetence. To me, this interaction demonstrates a complete lack of faith by themselves in their own work. Any other kind of contractor would want to fix or repair the body or at least their reputation. On Nov 20th I ended up having spinal surgery at NYU Langone. I truly believe the actions of Warrior NYC led to my spinal surgery. If anyone else has experienced a similar circumstance, contact me.

When I come to HSS, I receive the trifecta of PT, acupuncture, and massage. All the technicians are excellent, and I find that everyone really listens to your needs. Plus the facility itself is spotless! In addition, I am a chronic reschedule and they always accommodate me. Plus, they validate parking for up to two hours which is very convenient for someone who lives in the area. They do take insurance (I have the Teacher's Plan of NJ, and it's a small co-pay). I emailed Kathy again (weeks go by, as usual) and told her I wanted a full refund plus the $60 shipping I paid. Nothing. No response. If they're willing to scam me out of all this money, lie, ignore me, and act completely unprofessional, how do you think that reflects on their actual therapy business? This is a New York City-based therapy and wellness practice that claims to specialize in mental health, couples therapy, and overall well-being.
