They offer an array of treats, featuring flavours from the famous Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire. From milkshakes to waffles, crumbles to cookie dough, there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth. Keep an eye on their specials, which change frequently--Instagram is your best bet for staying updated. Many desserts come pre-made in small pots and are finished off with sauces and toppings, which is great when there's a queue. Everything I've tried (and I've done thorough "research") has been fresh and delicious. Seating in the market can be a challenge during busy times, so be ready to enjoy your treat on the go--probably good to start burning off those calories early. They gave out free ice cream for the Duke of Westminster's wedding but if waiting for the next royal wedding to get a deal on ice cream isn't your thing then you can visit on a Tuesday when they have a couple of "2 for" deals. Card payments are accepted. Overall, The Pudding Parlour is a must-visit for dessert lovers in a city filled with great options.

They have a good range of pasties including several vegetarian options (including spicy vegetable, mushroom and cheese and brocolli). The prices are reasonable; cheaper than getting a packaged sandwich but more expensive than a rubbish pasty from a certain bakery chain which will remain nameless. The Pasty Place also offers a range of sweet pasties as well as cookies, crisps and drinks which are priced at the usual small shop rates. There is rarely a queue, but this is because the service is so quick, rather than a lack of customers

I came here whilst waiting for a late bridal client, and I was pretty glad I did!…read more It was a bit of a grim day outside, and I cosied up on a table on my own, browsed the menu and ordered with the super friendly waitress and settled in with my sketchbook. I can't remember what tea I had, but it was lovely, and with a lemon meringue cupcake, which was pretty tasty, and with a gooey curd centre which made it super moist. I was so happy with the cakes, I took a few to my parents too, and it's rare that I take baked goods anywhere that weren't made by my own fair hand. It was an odd playlist in the background, but they cater so well for dietary requirements too.

I'm very well used to being disappointed by lack of flavor in "Louisiana" or "American Southern" food outside of the actual American South. My entire family and I were extremely pleasantly surprised at just how good and genuinely authentic this food was. I got the "louisiana hot" chicken burger, which actually was spicy, and well seasoned, and delicious. The regular fried chicken basket was some of the best seasoned chicken my brother has had in a while. Veggie burger, cobb salad, and brisket sandwhich all got positive reviews. The only thing my brother noted is the "georgia sweet tea" is nowhere near as sweet as we make it back home! But that's totally negligible, because the delicious meal and welcoming environment was wonderful. Highly recommend.

About last night…read more.. We REALLY enjoyed this meal. We started with mushroom arancini, focaccia, oxtail stew, and seriously, all three were amazing!! I've never had ox anything, and I'm a believer now... I had beef burg for my main, hubby had the venison and dad had the halibut and all three were simply fantastic! All were perfectly tender, lean, and full of flavor with sides that complimented them perfectly. And the desserts.. chocolate lava cake with salted caramel ice cream and dad had the sticky ginger cake and dad and hubby truly enjoyed these final courses. The chocolate cake surprised us when Mark cut into it and a lovely ganache poured out.. dad said the sticky ginger cake was light, not too sweet, but nice flavor. We were beyond stuffed, but even dad said "you found a gem with this place!" We would definitely return here regularly if we lived in England!! Service was really good! Our servers were friendly and attentive. They always asked how everything was with each course and everything was correct. Even though it was packed, and there were two of them, they did a great job staying on top of everything! The ambiance... it's too packed for such an amazing experience. They will be moving and good thing because they are going to need the extra room!! It was a bit hard to hear each other when it was a full house, but when half the room cleared, it was really pleasant. Overall, best food and service experience we've had in the two weeks we've been in England, hands down. And if we lived here, this is where we would take friends and family to "wow" them!

The Tea room has multiple levels; however, the lower level seemed to be the main area of service at the time that I was there. The upper levels, are up flights of stairs and are a bit uneven, but you have to keep in mind that it is an older building, so those with mobility issues might find the walk up a bit difficult. They offer different menus that have a selection of food, including some vegetarian options as well. Also some dishes can be modified to be gluten free. The tea selection is good, plus budget friendly. They do offer some delicious gluten free pastries that are quite addicting and add to your bill quickly, but they are so worth it. **Tips: + The restroom is a bit of a hike for those with mobility issues as it up the stairs and through the upper dining level + Watch your step upon entry

The historic building setting is quite amazing, a real maze of rooms, especially should you visit the restrooms, may even be worth taking bread crumbs lol. A large selection on the menu, it was a late lunch so we had a meal, the Gammon and chips was lovely the lasagne looked wonderful but the steak sandwich was a tad disappointing compared to the rest of our orders. The Jacket potatoes were large and well stuffed. The food was fresh nothing outstanding but enjoyable and service was very swift! The desserts also had a fair selection, i had a fudge brownie tart that was probably the best thing i had on this visit, a lot of choc and cream YUMMY. My hot chocolate was nothing to write about really but the smoothies looked good and seem to go down a treat. The setting is great, the staff were pleasant, food average, servings generous, speed of service out standing. Ideal for a quick bite to eat whilst shopping. Visited November 2014
