My last communication from her was on October 31st, when she stated that she had sent a revised offer to the opposing counsel. However, the opposing attorney later confirmed that they never received any such email. Since October 31st, despite my repeated attempts to reach her by phone, text, and email, Attorney Walker has not responded. This lack of communication caused important deadlines to be missed, including the timely submission of a court date request that I repeatedly asked her to file. Even after expressing my concerns multiple times, I received no update or guidance from her. Given how critical communication and timely action are--especially in family court cases--this experience has been incredibly stressful and detrimental. He was VERY well informed of what our intentions were, very informed of the continued fighting between parties that was only escalating as time elapsed, and all the immense damage we had been caused by said party. Not only that, but our family was being severely harassed, which we had proof of. But we had decided we wanted to address going another route, as we didn't think it would play well in state court against the original party. The liability of the situation actually ended up being someone else's. Losing in magistrate court happened in February with no date in state court given and we were yet again, having trouble with these individuals and no contact from this lawyer by late May. So three months with no communication or updates except with his receptionist, who claimed she was just going to pass along info. We were never contacted again! We were also advised we would have a title search done for our property, and that never came to fruition either. We then get an email essentially out of the blue stating they won't continue as our counsel. Claiming that the situation had escalated beyond what they originally planned for. That couldn't be further from the truth! They knew and were clearly advised when we hired them, of the continued escalation of the situation, that time was of the essence and yet they continued to do nothing but take our money. He wouldn't even keep in contact with us via email! Then we realized he requested to get one of his other office attorneys involved for the harassment portion, who then told him he should dump us. Wow, tacky behavior at best! Steer clear of this firm, waste of money and waste of time!
