In this letter they tried to demand I do and don't do certain things as if they are a judge or law enforcement. They do not know federal law as quoted and actually told me I do not have rights that I have. This law firm is (in my opinion) a JOKE! Any law firm that would send a letter such as the one I received (and to the wrong address) is one I would be utterly embarrassed to be represented by. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. He was VERY well informed of what our intentions were, very informed of the continued fighting between parties that was only escalating as time elapsed, and all the immense damage we had been caused by said party. Not only that, but our family was being severely harassed, which we had proof of. But we had decided we wanted to address going another route, as we didn't think it would play well in state court against the original party. The liability of the situation actually ended up being someone else's. Losing in magistrate court happened in February with no date in state court given and we were yet again, having trouble with these individuals and no contact from this lawyer by late May. So three months with no communication or updates except with his receptionist, who claimed she was just going to pass along info. We were never contacted again! We were also advised we would have a title search done for our property, and that never came to fruition either. We then get an email essentially out of the blue stating they won't continue as our counsel. Claiming that the situation had escalated beyond what they originally planned for. That couldn't be further from the truth! They knew and were clearly advised when we hired them, of the continued escalation of the situation, that time was of the essence and yet they continued to do nothing but take our money. He wouldn't even keep in contact with us via email! Then we realized he requested to get one of his other office attorneys involved for the harassment portion, who then told him he should dump us. Wow, tacky behavior at best! Steer clear of this firm, waste of money and waste of time!
