I felt the attorney I met with was disinterested and rushed, and I even detected they rolled their eyes at one of my questions. I didn't feel my questions were answered. The information I did receive was vague and could have applied to anyone. I followed up with the firm stating my concerns are requested a short phone consultation with a different attorney to revisit my questions briefly. I received no response to this request. I paid $490 and it felt like a complete waste.

My lawyer and paralegal "forgot" to file important paperwork that has left me losing out on thousands of dollars. When I discovered this it took me over a week to get a reply "we're looking into it". Since then, it has been well over a month of waiting and receiving no communication from my lawyer, no answer from the firm manager, Toby, and only "she's very busy" from the paralegal. I spent thousands on this legal representation, only to have them lose me thousands more and ghost on me when I needed them to fix their error. I would not want anyone else to have to have this stress and frustration, please avoid Sterling Law.

I could never reach anyone on the phone, everything had to be done via email. There was no follow up and I later found a bunch of forms in my folder that needed to be signed and I didn't know what to do with those. Later when I had questions I could never reach the attorney (Heather Wilson). I had to go through the paralegal who never knew any of the answers and told me I would get a call back but I never did. These people are the least helpful I have ever encountered! After being charged well over $1,000 I shouldn't have to call multiple times to ask a question. I expected much better than this. Will never use this firm again.

My consult was 45 minutes and my bill was $440.00. I called and asked why was this so much over my estimate? Secretary told me the Lawyer had to do "research" on my question. I informed them I would not be using them again and if she was billed as an Elder Lawyer she should know the Wisconsin law and if she had to refresh her memory on a point and look something up I should not be billed for it. Very unhappy,they will bill you for everything fair or not and my questions were not rocket science just general Wisconsin Elder law.
