Buyer beware and do your due diligence on Rainsoft equipment. If you do, you'll buy elsewhere.

The salt was to the point the water actually foamed coming out of the tap when it hit the sink. We called and had a service tech come out a few monthe ago, he played wiith the controls, found a bad seal and replaced that. Recently the salt came back with a vengeance. Really bad. Again a tech eventually came out and after about 15 minutes said the system was okay. Well it isn't okay because we have salt in our drinking water. That service call costs $225. For 15 minutes. Needless to say the sysytem is now on bypass and we will have another company rip it out and install a system that works. Trying to get service from these people is a chore. The lady that answers the phone only works mornings. The Service tech covers over five counties in two States. we waited a few weeks for an appointment. How would you like to drink salty water for three weeks or so?

A year later the tank ended up crashing to the shuffleboard below and spilling the contents all over the wooden table. There were 2 divots created that are irreparable and water damage to the base. We were hoping to work with the company to get a replacement or compensation for the table. We started the process with patience, understanding, and a willingness to work collaboratively with the company to make things right. We had minimal response from the owner and when we did hear back it was only to be repeatedly questioned on "how" this happened. While we understand investigation is important, the company was solely focused on absolving themselves from any responsibility to avoid helping us with a replacement or monetarily. After a month of minimal contact and with the threat to cancel our account, they reluctantly offered 5 years of free maintenance service. We are now sitting with water damaged table in our basement that will not be replaced but we are supposed to be grateful that they moved our tank down and changed our filters for free (even though it was time for our routine filter change anyways) and will hold us hostage for 5 more years just so we can recoup our losses from the credit. AVOID!

We tried to get it to work, but could not get water out of the 14 foot deep pipe. (It was clogged with sediment.) I contacted Caster Drilling via email on a Tuesday morning and was hoping to get a response by the following week. I was wrong. Trent, the owner himself, responded back 4 hours later. He came over that same evening to assess the situation. He was extremely knowledgeable and did not make unnecessary recommendations. The next morning I had a quote, that was very reasonable. I accepted the offer on Wednesday. Friday, he brought in the equipment, drilled the well, ran the line to the house, wired it in, and setup the expansion tank with a 1 inch PEX outlet. I have NEVER had such clean and clear water in my life. The quality of workmanship and the quality of the well is first class. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done.
