The sealant this company applied to my driveway didn't last 6 months. Workers didn't even seal the bottom of the driveway properly they missed a big spot. The owner said he would repair cracks. Never came back to repair them. Didn't create a slope from the foundation to let water run away from the house. It pools water. Overpriced horrible company. $5500 worth of work. Final outcome looks like shit. Should have used City Line Paving. read more

We had Miller's Paving (in Mass) come to dig up our old driveway and replace with new paving. We also had them dig out half of the cement in our garage and replace with pavement. They widened the areas we wanted widened and did an excellent job. We had so many areas to be done and the crew was in all of them at the same time. They were respectful of the property, very professional and it was very obvious that they knew what they were doing. Update - August 2023 - Miller's returned and re-performed their work - this time, the sealants are lasting and look beautiful. Despite some miscommunications about the numbering, Stan worked to make sure that the Complex was happy with the end result, and we are. The asphalt sealant is holding up to the rain, and wear and tear of vehicle traffic beautifully. The numbering was corrected in no time. It can take some time communicating back and forth, but Stan and his crew made sure we were satisfied with the end result. read more

So I had a complicated two part paving job for a Custom Home in Acton with a large circular turn-around.Stan broke the job in two so we could pass papers and accommodated some cobblestone rumble strips and boarders as we wanted to provide a way to break it up without seams. I am so disappointed with this Contractor. On 8-07-19 we signed a Contract for the asphalt paving of a parking in Gardner. The person who was giving me the quote had a very short fuse. He had written it using standard language that I felt did not adequately describe the scope of the work. I had a mound of dirt with some vegetation alongside a metal fence and I wanted that mound removed. I showed it to him and asked him to add some wording to the effect that the paving needs to be all the way to the fence. He became very agitated that I was asking to add a word into the contract but he did add "up to the fence" after he screamed at me. Also I asked him to put down specific foot measurements of the parking and driveway and a statement that the area under the trash container and in front of the back door is included as they are part of the parking. He said "Don't worry, I have put here a driveway and parking lot and we will do it all" and he did not put sq. feet or any specific measurements. I trusted them and that was my mistake. These people cannot be trusted. The job was scheduled for 10-1-19. The crew came and the owner (different from the person who gave the Quote) was there too. I have them the Plot Plant of the parking and driveway and showed them the mound with bushes that needed to be removed in order to pave to the fence and to my amazement the owner ordered the crew to drop everything and leave, he told me I was asking for too much to be paved and that he is not doing it. What shook me is that he refused to listen to me telling him that paving the parking to the fence is in the signed Quote/Contract. I was amazed that he simply refused to talk about it or even to listen to me and refused to fulfill his contract. If he didn't like the size of the parking in the Plot we could have talked about it and I would have been flexible but he refused to even listen. I own 11 rental buildings, 45 apartments and I have worked with countless contractors over the past 21 years. My evaluation of this Contractor is that both the Estimator and the Owner have very short fuses, act like Divas (maybe because there aren't enough pavers and so their services are in high demand), do not spend the time to write detailed quotes which opens up potential for misunderstanding and arguments of this sort and sign Contracts which they don't keep. After I wrote this review I received an irate phone call from the owner of Miller's paving where he said I never put down any money on the Contract. I have an email exchange with Lydia Miller where I said: "The person on the phone told me you want 10% down-payment and the person who quoted me told me the policy is for me to pay the whole amount after the job is done, we had a whole conversation about it because I asked him how much and when I pay and there is nothing about this deposit in the quote. I don't mind paying 10% but these discrepancies concern me." And she replied "we normally request a 10% deposit to hold the date if the owner said he don't need one from you thats fine." read more

Needed a new driveway installed and Miller's was the first company I contacted. They got back to me very quickly and John came out right away to write me a quote. In all, I solicited quotes from three local companies and all were very similar in estimated costs. I had John out two more times for quote adjustments, he was always on time (or earlier) and he handled the exceptions well, all things considered. He made suggestions on things to save me money, which was appreciated. Hired them for the job and they were out within three weeks or so to get the job done. Arrived right on time at 7AM, good thing I set my alarm (I work 2nd shift so 7AM is pretty early for me.) Long story short, Robinson was my crew leader and he is THE MAN! An artist in his craft. From getting a couple of MASSIVE boulders out of the way, to his skill with handling both the Bobcat for grading and the hot top machine for putting the money stuff down (not to mention his skill working the vibratory roller in the closing acts...), he CLEARLY knew what he was doing and made my new driveway a work of art! And all of the rest of his crew were highly skilled in all of the jobs which they were assigned. Great people! THANKS Robinson and crew!!! I called for a quote and was told they would be here on a Friday night at 6:00 pm. They never came and never called to let me know they were not coming. I called the next day on a Saturday and left a detailed phone message. No one returned my call. I called again the following Monday , and an answering service took my information and they never called. The poorest customer service ever ! Run, do not call or use these people. I was a customer service manager for 23 years for a company and I would never had treated a customer or potential customer this way. I can only imagine how poor their quality of work must be ! Miller's Paving is exactly what I needed for a local company to provide me a service. I recently had my driveway paved by Miller's and the crew was great, Stan Miller ran the show while his son sat by waiting for his chance (in 20 years or so) to take over the reigns... They were professional and courteous and since they finished up after dark, they were back early the next morning to do some final clean-up to make sure everything looked good. I would definitely recommend them if you want a fair price and great service. And it's great to know that the owner of the company lives here in Leominster a few streets over from me. We could not be happier with a company. After getting a great quote and a thorough explanation of what would occur, we had a couple of changes to what we needed done (a grading issue). Not only did Miller make the adjustments without cost, they did such a great job that we've had compliments from strangers! We had our driveway redone last year and by Spring we had extensive lifting and some ruts which we were surprised about, since our previous job had lasted years without a problem. After some discussion with Stan and a visit from someone from the company, they agreed to put it right and also completely reseal the top of the driveway again, which was, by now almost all lifted. We waited a few weeks, but they followed through as promised and completed the work. It looks great and actually better than the original job, but are just hoping that it will now last as it should! read more

I had paving and sealing done. They returned my call quickly. The came to quote the job in a couple days. They arrived on the day scheduled and did a better than expected job on the paving and came back a week later (when it was dry) and did the sealing. The price was fair. My only minor complaint is that they just used spray sealer to fill the larger cracks when I was expecting hot tar crack filler, but I should have asked beforehand. read more

Amazing job -- clearly not their first rodeo!! Stan provided an excellent proposal, and planned the job as we needed. He and his team arrived as agreed (although one day postponement due to lightning, thunder, and heavy rain) and immediately arranged the equipment to begin removal of the old pavement. The team worked like a finely tuned machine, clearing out the old and laying down the new -- without stopping and all done within just a few hours. My husband and I needed a small driveway paved and it took 4 calls and 3 voicemails for them to finally call one of us back. I should've taken that as a sign on how they run their business and not have hired them, but we didn't. We had to pay them the day that they did the job and then we realized they didn't seal where the new pavement hit the existing pavement. I called them back to question this and the receptionist said she didn't know why they didn't do it, because they were supposed to, and she'd send them back out to do it. Well I'm sure you can guess that they never showed so we ended up buying the sealer and applying it ourselves. It was a hassle dealing with them, I think they charged me way too much, and the job wasn't well done. Trust me, use someone else!! read more

Miller's Asphalt Paving is terrible! They DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES. We hired them to repair a sinkhole in the driveway and then repave the entire drive. They told us is would be $2,000 to do the work, $2,800 and they would warranty it. We went with the $2,800 to make sure that this work would be covered. The sinkhole retuned within two months and they will not fix it. Blew us off with every phone call we made. Terrible, terrible company. Nice to your face when they want to sell you a driveway but they do not stand by their work. read more

I was quotes by Mr. Miller $2500.00 for 6" of gravel and 3" of asphalt on my driveway. What I got was far less. After 2 years, chipmunks dug through the asphalt in 2 places and a 6 foot long wheel rut formed. When I looked closer, I saw there was only 1/2" of asphalt on the whole driveway. When I called him, the owner said he would happily resurface the driveway. I suggested the whole job needed to be redone since I only got 1/2" when I paid for 3" of asphalt. This is when he started making excuses, including that it was no longer under warranty. Fair enough, but I never got what I initially paid for. He accused me of arguing with him and started to raise his voice. I reminded him that I chose him based on the reviews I saw on Yelp and Angie's list. He said he had a reputation to keep and he did the job right. I told him, "OK, as long as you are happy with me posting on these sites that WHEN YOU SAY 3" YOU ACTUALLY MEAN 1/2", then I'm fine with whatever you decide to do. He then agreed to redo the whole job "to grade". So they showed up today (he said he would be there himself, but he didn't show) and the crew was very nice. When I clarified with them that they would be redoing the whole job, they said no, just a resurface. I clarified that that was not what Mr. Miller promised. So the guy called him and eventually put me on the phone. Mr. Miller laid right into me, profanities and all. I again reminded him about Yelp and Angie's List and he yelled, "You can write whatever the f#@k you want on line, I don't care!" and threatened to pull his crew out without doing the 1/2 baked job they're doing now. That's when I hung up on him. Again, the crew was very nice and the driveway looks very good. But I know, in a couple of years, when chipmunks dig through again I'm going to be calling Lazaro to redo the job the right way. BE WARNED!! Don't trust this huckster! read more
