Wow. What a great place! Today was our first time. visiting. I took my two year old and six month old. Right away we were greeted by the owner (I think) who was super welcoming and kind. He was training a new employee and was accommodating to us while still being very kind and helpful to his employee. Once we got to the play area I was blown away! There was so much to do- my two year old was in heaven! I loved that most of the toys promoted pretend play (not too many light up, noisy cheap toys). There were so many creative areas too. Like an underwater section with a submarine, a UV light space room, farm and jungle. There was a baby section with lots of safe toys for my little one as well. But by far the best thing was how CLEAN it is!! Not just sanitarily but also just neat and organized. There was a woman working there whole continuously picked up the toys and put them back in their place. This neat and organized look promotes children to explore and play. The woman who was organizing was very nice and was constantly moving through the space keeping everything tidy. Amazing. I also loved that they have different events at the space too. There was a white board when we walked in outlining various upcoming events like "Dad Day". Great idea! Punch cards too! We will definitely be back with our friends!

Totally exceeded my expectations. Idk what people are saying with the mask stuff. Masks aren't required most places anyway. And the kid being done in 15 min...idk how thats possible! This place is packed full of stuff to look at and do. Way cleaner than jumpzone or chucky cheeses. Totally worth the money. Super nice owners. Tons of room to run. An hour flew by. Def recommend. I wish i knew about it earlier.

We just had our daughter's third birthday party at Millie's Playland, we had an excellent time with the cousins ranging from 2 to 6 years old. Everything was age-appropriate and the kids got to run around the entire place on their own and have fun, plenty of seating for the adults to watch and assist, and a separate eating room with a kitchenette, countertop space, tables and chairs for adults, and tables and chairs for kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend for private party for children under age 5. Random bubble blaster from the sky was super fun. They let you bring in your own food, drinks, cake, and/or catering, and don't forget that there is a honey baked ham next-door offering sandwich platters and fruit trays.

Just an update on my review since it's been awhile and I was able to have a wonderful conversation…read morewith Inna and Christi, who own and run this business every day! I came in on a late Saturday afternoon and it was perfect... there was only one other customer here. Except for the kids music playing over the speakers, it was "quiet" and calm. Everything was orderly and clean and my daughter was able to play with everything she wanted. Some notes for you who haven't been here: - No outside food or drinks. And this rule is serious. I found out from Christi that this is because due to their business designation, they are not allowed to have potential allergens (eg. peanuts, soy, sesame, etc) brought into the building. They are just following regulations and are not just trying to generate more revenue... though it's good to support local businesses! - Make sure everyone is wearing socks. This is one of the reasons it's so clean here! - It's $15 per child for the day, with no fee for adults. - Paying with card is 4% up charge (due to processing charges from the payment company), so bring cash or pay by Zelle. The owners are super nice as long as you are willing to ask questions and let them know what you need. They are kind to the kids and welcoming to the adults. One of the toys was out of batteries and Inna immediately replaced them so my daughter could have more fun! There's also an extensive menu of snacks and drinks for you and your child, so it's a good place to relax (as much as you can while having kids ) and have a nice coffee. Definitely come by and support this local business... especially when there's low traffic!

You can tell people really care about the space and the vibe is just good. There's also a nice seating area where you can sit and chill for a bit. Granted, it hasn't been around very long, but just looking at the quality material and the ruggedness of the Velcro-connected joints and transitions, this place is going to look clean and maintained for a while. What's different about this place is that it's one large, connected inflatable land! There's slides, obstacle courses, and a lot of other fun and surprising areas to climb and jump on. I'm not good with estimates, but it's maybe 2000-2500 sq ft of inflated land. You should note that though that May seem large. I think 90 minutes is plenty of time to have your child get a good run of the place. Go for 2 hours to squeeze a little extra time to get the wiggles out. I'd say the best ages for this place are around 4-10 years old. 10 might be pushing it, but I guess it depends on how many friends are around. Last thing I'll add is that you have to use their socks... which are roughly $4-$5 a pair, so make sure you hang on to those. Adults are free (aside from the socks), so that might offset the big up front cost. We'll be back!

My partner and I were looking for another indoor playground for young kids as our weekend…read moreexcursion. Mama Rosa did a little Yelp search and found "Time Out Party and Play" and we executed our plan to check this place out with our little ones. The place had a cute vibe. The one-time open play admission was $15, without the entry to the sensory room. The attendant was very kind and allowed us to use the sensory room without an extra charge. Honestly, the sensory room was my favorite part because the room was actually serene, soothing, and great for kids who wanted to take a break from the physical play. The setup was quite inspiring in that sensory room and I could definitely see it as my ideal room design. Interactive, learning-driven toys were filled on the walls and and it was fun to see the kids jumping on the water trampoline. Patrons were courteous and I could see my older one had a lot of fun. My younger one was slightly timid due his petite size, but he ended up sticking to the small slide adjacent to the large two-story playpen. Some parents were able to "relax" for the time being by chilling at the cafe area nearing the playground. I believe there was a menu available to order the food and drinks in from a third-party coffeeshop. The register, on the other hand, had some pops and juice boxes for sale. "Time Out Party and Play" caters for birthday parties. I took a glance on the pricing poster and it seemed pretty reasonable to me if any parent wanted to plan an official birthday celebration by inviting friends and families. Nowadays the mall has gotten so much more emptier, yet a business like this should be a keeper! We don't live anywhere near the Hawthorne Mall in Vernon Hills, so we will be back when we can.

Well today, my friends, was the day!! We came in about 4:45pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 5 other children playing. I had already checked out the prices, so I knew what to expect: $20 for open play, $28 for open play + drink + toy or $15 for open sensory play (great for toddlers and babies). Although I was initially a little hesitant about the $20 open play fee based on the space, I can confidently say that I got my money's worth, as my daughter was entertained for a solid hour and a half, and still didn't want to leave. The sensory area is a wonderful, quiet, low-light space for toddlers and babies who would otherwise be overwhelmed (or trampled) in the play area. The main play area is great, as you can see your child from just about every angle, and even on a busy day, the space is small enough that they're a safe distance away from you at all times. Adults aren't allowed on the second story of the play gym, but even my reserved 3 year old was able to maneuver most of the stuff on the second floor with confidence and ease. There are plenty of seats and tables for parents to hangout, or for kids to take a break, and cubbies for your shoes (socks only play). Great play space for kids 6 and under, but somewhat older siblings could enjoy the space as well! They offer private and semi-private party packages at a reasonable rate, too! The staff was friendly and helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions.
