We went for the "Santa's Drive-Thru" at the Santa's Village. I would probably rate 3.5 stars on this just because there was nothing really special about this place in general. However, if you have little ones with you, taking them to see Santa, driving the lights, taking pictures on various photo booths, letting them play and hopefully they would forget about the cold...all these things added value. Manuvering through the lights on the driveway was fun, but the designs and decorations weren't too elaborated. It cost $35 per vehicle and one would need to reserve admission online in advance. Some families invited their extended families and friends to come along, and that constituted savings right there. The drive-thru portion lasted around 15 minutes and then we arrived to the parking lot where all of us got off and went to look for Santa. Everyone waited outdoor, but we were bundled up well enough to endure the cold. Several photo stations were available to keep the little ones busy. The food options were the basic festival food offerings: hot chocolate, hot dogs, funnel cakes, and etc. We made the earliest reservation for the night, which was 5pm, and that was wise because parking started getting limited as the time went on. In addition, the line to see Santa could get much longer as well. The voucher was supposed to be surrendered when taking pictures with Santa. However, the attendant didn't take it, yet the rule did specify that it was one visit per admission. Apparently people had the seasonal pass for this venue. I personally wouldn't come these many times from the city. Nevertheless, we made some great memories as a family, so we were satisfied.

This is a great family friendly place. The rides. are good and perfect for all ages. We had so much fun we even wore out grandpa. We opted to get a cabana. Best choice ever. We had a home base and shade that made it even better. What a great thing they have. The day was perfect in every way. And I was wondering if the park hours would be long enough. And yes it was perfect the day we went we had enough time to play in the water and ride rides. They also offer adult beverages with the kids beverages. Just an all around great family day. Kids love all the rides. We did get the fire put out. Saw the reindeer they are so cool. Pet some animals and even got to feed the. This has something for everyone.

Had a great time at Santa's Village with my nephew. Food options were not that great but the rides and waterpark were very fun! All the staff were friendly and helpful as well!

We really enjoyed our time here. The rides were great, splash pad was nice to cool off and Santa was very kind!

We rented a cabana here to celebrate my birthday! It was a perfect day - my twin toddlers and four year old had a ball! The cabana had 2 lounge chairs, 4 seats and two side tables. It was covered with a solid roof and open on the sides. The cabana was bordered with a rope fence and there was a small lockbox attached to the wall. The cabana sat right on the edge of the huge lagoon so it was perfect! My husband stayed back with the twins and my four year old and I enjoyed the lagoon. We went up into the main park on our way out and played some games and went to see and feed the animals. It was really fun. Perfect place to come with the little ones.

Didn't even know until a couple years ago that Santa's Village is still open! I think I was 10 the last time I came??? It's so under the radar that my 11 year old daughter was unaware of it's existence, and she pretty much knows anything and everything about places like this. The outside looks a bit outdated to the fact that my daughter at first looked at the place with a frown and didn't want to go in. But the second she went through those gates, her face lit up. She said "this looks like a kiddie version of Great America!". Well we had fun. I wouldn't exactly compare it to Great America, but more like a larger carnival. The bonus is the water park. What I liked about the water park is that it wasnt too big where u couldn't keep an eye on your belongings. It had a nice play area that had waterslide for little kids, a giant bucket that poured water on you l and a little area with water shallow enough for a baby to swim in. The price wasn't bad at all either. We had a $3 off coupon so $25 for the whole day gets you unlimited ride and admission to the water park. They could use a few more rides for bigger kids ok I guess I meant adults lol, but my daughter seemed happy with the selection. She said she wants to come back again next month, and I wouldn't mind coming back. We came on a Tuesday and there really wasn't a wait time for the rides. The most we waited was 5 minutes. Not bad at all. Next time, we will be bringing a cooler filled with drinks because though can bring a cooler in for just $5!

Santa's Village is a nice, clean old school amusement park. It's really nice but you wonder how long it can stay in business. We were just there for the Magical Christmas Drive Thru light show.

I remember going here as a kid and now that my kid is 3.5 it was time for him to experience the fun. And my did he have fun! So many rides especially for him and the lines were not long at all. The water park was closed on the day we went since the temp was in the low 70s. That was fine with me! Since I know we'd be back I bought one season pass, which includes discounts on other tickets and two free passes for someone else. Worth it if we return at least one more time.

We went for the Christmas Drive thru lights which was $35 per car. We packed all the kids in the car and we were on the way! We went on a Friday around 7 pm and it was not busy! This was my family and I first time at Santa's Village and would like to check it out during the summer. They have you turn your radio on to a station where it is synced up with the lights. You also drive by Santa and Mrs. Claus and get to wave and say hi! After driving through the lights, you can park and take some pictures, grab some goodies like hot chocolate, fried Oreos, funnel cake, etc. The hot chocolate is $10 but you get it in a take home thermos. The s'mores was $7 for a pack of 4 and they have fire pits to roast the marshmallows. They also have tubing for free. Only problem was on one of the slides there was accumulated water so you would get wet going down. I like that you were able to get out the car afterwards and have the kids release some energy!

Took a little drive through Santa's village for their annual Christmas display. Had me a moment with a big fella.

Can your bring your own wagon into the park?

Yes, you can bring a wagon into the park.

Do I have to print the tickets or will they take them electronically? Having trouble with my printer?

I printed mine and they needed the barcode to let us in. I would say to be safe print them. If you can't, make sure you have the barcode from your email.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. "The handsome prince raced his mighty steed around the go kart track, while the beautiful princess enjoyed several games of Skee-Ball.  And they played happily ever after!"

I liked the variety of tube rides and cleanliness of the park and equipment. All the tubes were inflated well and the lifeguards were nice (many asked if we enjoyed the ride). I got tickets during the Easter promotion so it was only $25 per ticket, and could be used any day during open season. The tickets say you need to physically print them out, but you can also just show the tickets on your phone. Make sure you bring a clear or mesh bag for your items. Parking is $10 and wasn't a problem even though I got it for the wrong day. There were many tube rides, including multiple tube rides for groups of 2-4 people, so it was perfect for our group of 3. Many rides were two-seaters but there's no problem going down solo. What I liked most about the park was that you don't need to walk very far from one ride to the next, it overall felt pretty compact without being crowded. The locker system was very user-friendly: the 3 of us shared a large locker and the self-serve kiosk printed out a wristband for each of us to wear. There were no issues getting in and out of our locker. There's a spigot labeled "filtered water" for refilling water bottles near the gift shop. The food is pretty standard fare for a theme park - chicken tenders, fries, burgers, etc. The hamburger with bacon for an extra dollar was nice but had absolutely no vegetables. It was nice that they sell Dole whip/soft serve right at the front near the lockers. They had pineapple, vanilla, and chocolate soft serve which was a great way to end the day. They had strawberry on the menu but they were out of it. My specific experience was 5/5 since it wasn't too crowded or too hot, and I got a great deal at 50% off. If I had to pay full price I would still give it 4/5. Please see the note below regarding weather. **NOTE: On the day we came there was a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms around 3PM. We had planned to go on this day, which was the day before Labor Day. I was concerned with going to a water park while there's thunder and lightning, but then I read the website which said 30% chance of storm means 70% chance of it being totally fine. I liked those odds, and it turned out to be a perfect overcast day. The forecast must have deterred people from coming because the lines were really not that bad. I think if it actually does start thundering, they will shut the park down for safety concerns. Do check the weather forecast before you come, and weigh the risks and benefits if there is a chance of a thunderstorm. Also, different phones/weather apps may give different results, my friend's forecast said it was fine all day.
