Buyer Beware! What…read moreshe claims is "antique" or "solid wood" may be neither! She "advertises" her items via Craigslist. We recently purchased a table from her. The description listed for the table is as follows (excerpts): lovely Solid Oak Anitque Harvest Table some refer to as a Trestle or Farm Table. It is a heavy, sturdy piece of furniture. It originally came from a family estate. It is solid oak. We emailed her and asked a few more questions and she told us the table was from Manchester England. When we got there we should have put 2+2 together because of the fact that the table was a bit light, but we were in a hurry as we had to meet my parents soon after our purchase. When we got home we noticed the table was plywood on the bottom and was stamped '1975' -- not exactly an antique. Then we discovered the table was veneer over particle board. I emailed Anita to alert her to these facts, but of course I got no response -- I also let her know that I was going to file a report. I feel that she is misrepresenting her furniture and that she is well aware that she is not selling antiques. To this day, 3 weeks later, she still has not responded to our complaints.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very cute hidden gem in downtown Sanger! The selection is very country, and very eclectic. What really surprised me was that they had a full-service hair salon tucked away in the back (called, Bombshell)! I thought I had really scored, since I had been looking for someone to do my hair that day, but sadly, the stylists are all independently contracted by appointment only and all were booked. Still, it was a nice discovery! The store owner was very sweet and she did ask the stylists if anyone could squeeze me in, although that did not happen. She did give me a couple local suggestions and was very personable. They have a wonderful homemade candle selection with some unique and some more familiar scents (I couldn't leave without purchasing two of the mason-jars-turned-candles)! The inventory is very rustic/antique, and likely very hit-or-miss, depending one each individuals' tastes and styles. They had a couple pairs of boots, a lot of college paraphernalia for the mostly Texas schools and the local high schools as well. They had some pretty cute furniture too, although the size of the store limits the larger pieces to a dozen or so larger items. Overall, it's a great tourist spot to soak in some local flavor and leave with maybe a trinket or two. If you happen to be in the Sanger area, I would recommend taking the time to do a walk-through of the store and support their local businesses. I visited several of this store's neighbors as well, and had a really nice time just browsing around... Who knew all of these great little shops were nestled within the confines of the Sanger square? *The owner also indicated to me that she planned on opening on Sundays in the near future - with hours to coincide with the infamous Babe's Chicken located just around the corner (they are currently closed on Sundays and Mondays).*
