I walked around for at least 20 minutes and she never even acknowledged my presence until I came to the register to pay. Only then did she say anything to me and that was only "That will be $74.56". Never again will I return. I can spend my money elsewhere.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very cute hidden gem in downtown Sanger! The selection is very country, and very eclectic. What really surprised me was that they had a full-service hair salon tucked away in the back (called, Bombshell)! I thought I had really scored, since I had been looking for someone to do my hair that day, but sadly, the stylists are all independently contracted by appointment only and all were booked. Still, it was a nice discovery! The store owner was very sweet and she did ask the stylists if anyone could squeeze me in, although that did not happen. She did give me a couple local suggestions and was very personable. They have a wonderful homemade candle selection with some unique and some more familiar scents (I couldn't leave without purchasing two of the mason-jars-turned-candles)! The inventory is very rustic/antique, and likely very hit-or-miss, depending one each individuals' tastes and styles. They had a couple pairs of boots, a lot of college paraphernalia for the mostly Texas schools and the local high schools as well. They had some pretty cute furniture too, although the size of the store limits the larger pieces to a dozen or so larger items. Overall, it's a great tourist spot to soak in some local flavor and leave with maybe a trinket or two. If you happen to be in the Sanger area, I would recommend taking the time to do a walk-through of the store and support their local businesses. I visited several of this store's neighbors as well, and had a really nice time just browsing around... Who knew all of these great little shops were nestled within the confines of the Sanger square? *The owner also indicated to me that she planned on opening on Sundays in the near future - with hours to coincide with the infamous Babe's Chicken located just around the corner (they are currently closed on Sundays and Mondays).*

3 stars for the $500 antique farm table built in the 30's in Ohio with 6 chairs and the antique 9…read moredrawer dresser for $350 (which are both incredibly great deals). The 3 stars come from the "restoration" of the antique farm table and dresser. When I purchased the dresser I asked for a small amount of cream paint to use for touch ups. I promptly took the sample to Lowes on 288 where the woman working the paint center told me the sample of paint I gave her to match was in fact not real paint. She concluded it was a bizarre mixture of chalk, glue, and some kind of binder. I was not entirely surprised by her discovery. When I first received the table I took a damp rag to the surface and discovered to my horror the "stain" came off onto the damp rag. It was also dramatically apparent she was ill equipped to restore the table when I found she had used run of the mill nails in the side of the table in a sloppy attempt to reenforce the bracing section under the table. Clearly she was unaware of furniture/ wood nails which are thin and less noticeable. I have since had to patch the holes with wood filler. I would recommend her using wood glue in the future but I can see that going badly. I purchased a gallon of top rated Valspar in the matching color. I have sense taken the table and dresser apart and began to restore both to their former glory using stripper gel, sandpaper, pre stain conditioner, stain, and a poly sealant. They are now beautiful and I receive many compliments. If she had put in real time and research into restoring these beautiful pieces of furniture she could have gotten quite a bit more for both the table and dresser. Similar tables retail for over $1,200 on antique websites and similar dressers fetch around $800. I say all this for perspective buyers who are not in the market for projects or looking to take up a new hobby, I can't say I'm entirely disappointed as I have come to enjoy the experience of refurbishing my antiques. This review is meant to come as a word of caution to prospective customers and hopefully inspire the owner to use real paint and take more care of the items she's selling, or if not be honest she has little knowledge in refurbishing or restoring antiques correctly.

What a find!! Fred and his team took excellent care of my clock needs!…read more I've had a tiny cuckoo clock (except there is no cuckoo bird!) that my dad had brought home from Germany in the early 1950's. I don't remember ever seeing it run. I've had it for years and finally decided we should get it looked at. I had another mantel clock that needed service because a new battery did not make it run. Took them both to Promenade Clocks. The cost to repair/clean them was totally reasonable. And they were both ready for pickup in less than a week! Fred and his shop is a treasure right here in Richardson! It's almost like a time museum. Fred showed us around and he really knows his clocks! We loved hearing the stories and how many of the clocks work and their history. Lots of one-of-a-kind clocks available for purchase.
