I love this park!, it's so nice and peaceful. I took a stroll here with my friend and it's beautiful. I do agree the children's playground area is a bit outdated and needs to be fixed up so the little one's can have more fun and play safely. Ton's of nice views, there is a deck you can walk on and watch the turtles swimming! And it has Koi fish whaaaat! i got a duck, a turtle, and koi fish all in one picture. Win. The fountain is also really pretty with tall big bushy tree's surrounding the area. Just breathing the air is calming. Just remember to wear some bug repellent because man are there a lot of mosquitoes, i got bit like crazy. If you continue along the path past the deck you'll find yourself at a trail that winds around into a mini forest. It has nice log's you can sit down and take a break on or benches available as well. I did not see any duck poop on the trail or deck so that problem must've been fixed. Glad they listened! Will definitely come back again for a nice stroll. read more

Beautiful park with lots to do. Some nice short trails, a pond filled with fish and look out spots, a newly renovated play ground, and splash pad. Some decent hills for toboganning in the winter too! Nice shady areas and a number of gazebos availble for private picnics (must reserve spot with city to obtain permit). Well maintained garden area thats beautifu in the summer. Short trail with nice views of the foliage in the fall. A great park to visit during all seasons. Very lively place. People there at all times of the day even on weekdays but never felt like its too crowded. Plenty of space for all to enjoy. Lots of parking. Ice cream truck is often in the lot by the playground selling the usual overpriced items. There is a washroom onsite. read more

This is a pretty big park with a nice playground for kids. There are plenty of benches if you wanted to do BBQ in the summer. There are trails, perfect for strolls. I've come here to have maternity and fall photoshoots taken before too. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Will certainly come by with my family again. read more

I love having this park in the hood. It's a great spot to go for walks and strolls in the spring and summer time. There is a big playground for the kids which gets super busy, and lots of green grassy space to have picnics and BBQ. I love that you can BBQ at this park. It does get very busy on summer weekends though so aim to arrive early (ie before 12 pm ideally) to score a spot in one of the two parking lots. There is usually also an ice cream truck there on the weekends which is just sweet. As for tables, there are some picnic tables here and there, and some tables by the washrooms. The washrooms are okay. I think I only ever used them once and they didn't scare me off but it is a public park bathroom so nothing fancy but not super scary either (aka it's useable) :D read more

Beautiful park. It's a 45 mins walk if you complete the trail around the park. It's well paved and easy for walking. Biking around the park is allowed. Lots of parking. Playground for the kids and potluck tables available when pandemic is over read more

Back on a nice fall evening! The Park looked clean with no more bird poo. Maybe they all left for the winter? or all these Pokemon trainers just scared them away? Beautiful park! Has a trail that goes around the whole park. Perfect for families, kids, friends, basically anyone! A lot of elderly and kids like to go to this park, and families for barbecues. Perfect for picnics too. There's a large pond with a water fountain in the middle, that has turtles, swans, and ducks. One of my favourite nearby parks to go in the summer! read more

A surpringly large park with paved paths for walking, a playground for kids, and a pond where people were feeding various animals. The park was clean, and the view surrounding the pond was beautiful. There's a slope in the park so people could go tobagganing during winter. Nice to have a park like this in the city. read more

Beautiful park! Large and spacious, ample amount of parking at the Recreation Centre. Quite a few gazebos for camily picnics, we came here for another purpose: Pokémon hunting (judge us if you dare). Pond has a beautiful foundtain and deck to enjoy a glorious sunset. Tons of ducks waddling and swimming around, waterpark for the kids. Large field for a soccer game. read more

Milliken Park will always have a soft spot in my heart :) I used to come here as a kid, before anyone knew about it and enjoy the massive playground. It's a beautiful park, full of paths, a pond, and plenty of greenspace for running around, playing and picnicking. I was there recently with my kids though, and noticed that the playground could use an update as there are part of it that are rusting, damaged and/or not working. It would be a great investment to update it as there's never a shortage of children playing there. read more

Huge park that is connected to the Armadale Community Center. I didn't know they are regarded as separate facilities until I noticed they had different names at their respective entrances. This is an exceptionally large park in a dense suburban. The playground structure is, OMG, humongous (see picture). There are many short trails. If you feel like a drink or need to use the washroom, they are available at the Armadale Community Centre. read more

On Steeles Ave., between McCowan and Middlefield this is a conveniently located park for Scarborough/Markham residents nearby. Plenty of parking EXCEPT on those holidays of course. It has a small pond that ducks/geese love to chill on a hot day. Several picnic areas with picnic tables and fixed grills, I recommend the one right next to the small pond along the path. Kids playground area further inside the park. This park seems to be extremely popular for Kite Flying. Lots of OPEN green space for running around or having fun with Fireworks on those special statutory days. I happened to pass-by or take part for two of those FIREWORK nights and the streets go on insane and seemed almost to need police crowd control as everyone attempts to drive into the parking lot anytime of those days and drive straight out disappointed that no space is available within the park parking LOTS. Lots of locals walk over which definitely makes better sense but even as a passer-by it does get a bit frustrating in all the confusion as other drivers frantically think on the spot to find parking within the nearby plazas(Alton Towers, One w/T&T Middlefield). Washrooms and facilities might be hit or miss but when the plaza w/T&T has Tim Hortons, you won't need to worry too much as it is just a short walk away. Try to be CAREFUL when you J-walk though but then everyone else does it here. read more

This is a nice park for a walk, especially in the summer when everything is green with nice flower beds. There is a trail that goes all around the lake and you can look at the ducks and geese as you go around. However you have to watch where you walk because there can be geese poo on the path. There is a nice play structure for kids. In the summer the park can get quite busy since many people come here for picnics and gatherings. read more

I've been coming to this park for decades. It is quite large. The pond is quite picturesque. There are trees with some paths into a little wooded area south of the community centre. It is one of the few places where you can go and have trees around you 360 while being close to the city. Other reviews comment about bird poop. I do not know if it is any worse than other parks. There are large gazebos and picnic tables and open areas to the east. To the north there are some quite beautiful look flowers in the summer that would be nice for photography or even wedding pictures. That area is now a new hub for Pokemon Go which was the reason I revisited the place. It is better than your average park. 4.0 stars read more

The park is beautiful. but sadly it's deteriorating- rubbish is slowly building up, the ponds have dirty water and have plastic bottles floating in them, and the toilets! - totally filthy. it's really sad that such a beautiful place is not maintained well. read more

I live very close to Milliken Park and watched it develop from a barren field into the wonderful site that it is today. I walk the four kilometre recreational walking / jogging trail every morning and wonder at its beauty and how fortunate I have this park so close to my home. There are three playgrounds to take my children, and one even has a splash pad for hot summer days. They love the small lake and are excited to see geese, ducks, and even a beautiful pair of swans that are there every day ! In the winter they can use their sleighs and toboggan on the toboggan hill. We often walk with the children through the small urban Forrest where we have seen rabbits, many different birds, and once, even a fox, that must have been lost. The Forrest is really beautiful in the Fall when the leaves are changing colour. On Canada Day we walk over to the park, with a blanket to sit on while we watch the spectacular fireworks display, put on by the city every year. Our Chocolate Labrador Ginger used to love the park ( she recently went to dog heaven ) and we would throw sticks for her to fetch in the lake. She never got goose poo on her paws and neither did I on my running shoes, there is some, but very little, and I guess some people and dogs are just smarter than Jennifer K. And her dog Momo ! The park also has a year round Community Centre and a snack bar with washrooms near the largest playground. There are several covered pavilions and picnic tables with fixed barbecue grills near by that can be used for small or large picnics. The park is well maintained by the city, and they even planted thousands of trees and daffodils this Spring ! I have mixed feelings about this park. It's not a huge park but it's pretty convenient in terms of location, seeing that it is surrounded by many neighbourhoods and thus, is of walking / biking distance for many people. There is free parking at this park which is nice for those who are lazy to walk or bike. There is a kids play area, pond, cement pathway, BBQ / picnic areas, and large tree forested areas around different parts of the park. During special occasions such as Canada Day or Victoria's Day, the park usually sets fireworks for the community to enjoy which attracts a lot of families to come watch. I've seen many kids fly their kites in the grassy fields, people playing cricket and soccer during summer, and even toboggan sometimes during winter. One down side to the park is that there are a lot of Canada geese that resides there with their young. Although they do produce a lot of you know what on the grass where people can step on, it's not something that can really be stopped completely if you ask me. I mean, we can't get rid of the geese entirely, that would just be selfish. It would be nice though if the park hired some sort of maintenance that would specifically clean up the geese poop. Another thing, it might be even nicer if the city somehow turned the small pond at the park to a natural skating rink during winter. read more
