Upon arriving at the office, the assistant at the front desk greeted me with a smile, was friendly and helped make check-in a breeze. During my visit, everyone on the staff, with whom I encountered, was so friendly, professional, helpful, and extremely organized. I immediately felt at ease with everyone in the office and appreciated Dr. Fruchtman's assistant for her kindness while helping me prepare for my eye exam. I also appreciated how Dr. Fruchtman patiently listened to my concerns, took his time while going through the examination, then explaining his recommendations in detail including having his wonderful staff prepare my prescription so I could take it with me when leaving. Dr. Fruchtman is a true professional that is kind, very personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Fruchtman when looking for a highly skilled optometrist.

He had so many great reviews that my husband and I decided to go and meet with him even-though we live one hour away. We felt that with so many amazing reviews, we needed to meet with him and decide for ourselves if this is "our" doctor. Making the decision to have cataract surgery was no easy decision. I thought about long and hard. However, since I found that my vision was increasingly getting worse and everything was getting blurrier, to the point that I couldn't see clearly out of my right eye because when I was watching TV, for example, it was in "double vision". After meeting with him, both my husband and I found him to be very knowledgeable, informative, professional and had a wonderful bed side manner. He diagnosed me to have two cataracts, one in each eye. He scheduled me for both surgeries one month apart starting with the worst eye first. Taking a leap of faith, I decided to have cataract surgery and chose Dr. Medford as my surgeon. I was extremely nervous on the day of surgery, but while the nurse was prepping me, Dr. Medford came in to see me and saw that I was quite anxious. He then went on and reassured me with his kind words telling me that he's performed this procedure many times and to try and relax. The surgery was textbook perfect. When I went in for my follow up visit the next day, he told me that it went very well and gave me further instructions on how to continue taking care of the eye so it heals perfectly. I then saw him again one week later, at which point he evaluated me and recommended that I wait to operate on the other cataract because in his words "it was necessary yet". I really appreciated the honesty and care. I highly recommend Dr. David Medford, not only because he is he an amazing surgeon, a kind person, but a very honest doctor as well. It's a win-win. His patients welfare is his primary concern.

What stands out to me is that they are professional but still personable, and they're up on new technology and techniques. I'm also confident in the doctors and technicians who work there, and feel I'm getting the best care whenever I go. The office is housed inside the Atkins-Kent building across from Saint Barnabas Hospital. It's easy to get to by car from 280, but also there are bus routes since it's close to the hospital. There's a large waiting room with ample seating and flat screen TV, but I haven't had to really wait for my appointments and go in when scheduled. In the waiting room, you can also peruse the glasses. Last year, I needed to spend down my HSA money and bought two pairs of glasses and my usual contacts. I remember there were a lot of frames options for me, which isn't always the case. Nice inventory. When you enter the office, you check in with the front desk admin. They've always been friendly when I've gone and also on the phone. Your name is called when it's time to go to the back. Again, never really a wait. We see Dr. Schultz, a great doctor who's knowledgeable and who you can tell keeps current with developments in his field/specialization. My partner has gone to Dr Schultz for over 10 years now; me, about 5 or so. We followed him to this office because, when you find a doctor or healthcare provider you can trust, you stick with them as long as you can! In terms of equipment, I thought the office has some modern devices. Also a few weeks ago, I went in for my annual eye exam and the front desk told me that - as an option - I could go for the optomap retinal exam/Optos retinal imaging instead of the traditional one where you get your eyes dilated. I may consider trying this next time, but it's not covered by insurance, however, you won't have that 4-5 hours of eye discomfort and blurry vision. I thought it was cool they offer this. I recommend Miller Ophthalmology without reservation.

The office atmosphere is homey and comfortable and I have given out many cards to people who have heard about my mom and asked who finally gave her the ability to see again, read again, and legally drive her car. The drive to Chester is long but it is located in the beautiful rural Chester area. All of the staff are attentive, well trained, more than friendly and compassionate. Once in a while you might have to wait longer than you like because Dr. Siwoof takes the time it takes to make a real change in your life!! We don't mind. We've been offered snacks and entertained and the apologies aren't even necessary but we get them anyway. If you or your friends or family have serious eyesight issues that other doctors can't or claim they can't help you with, come to Dr. Siwoof's office. He is one of only 5 Low Vision Centers that really know what they are doing in the country. We have been seeing Dr. Siwoof for 2 years. I can't say enough good about Dr. & Mrs Siwoof, and the staff. They changed my mom's life and mine as well.

When we got to the doctors office there were other people in front of us so we waited patiently in the waiting room. Once we were put into a room we could hear Rachel Rose telling another customer that the doctor must really feel they were worthy to spend so much time with him. And that normally she wouldn't care but there were some "very demanding patients" here tonight. Excuse me? Aren't all of your patients deserving? And is it demanding to make an appointment and not have to change it three times? Especially when you are making the appointment because the contact they gave you last visit was defective and it is affecting your vision? Then when we went to pay she made snide comments about how we could call the contact company and find another doctor. She is a horrid woman who made all three patients in the office uncomfortable. I was a little worried I wasn't going to be seen before they closed for the night but once we started getting close to closing, the pace started picking up. The tech was super friendly and the doctor was polite, friendly, and knowledgable. He took a look in my eye and found a tiny piece of metal in my iris - no idea how that got there but he numbed my eye on the spot and removed it with some fancy drilling magnet. It was actually kind-of a scary procedure but he talked me through it and I barely noticed how scary it was until after he had removed the object. He set me up with a bunch of samples of solution to help treat lingering pain and a followup visit to make sure everything was okay. Despite the wait it was still a great experience for an urgent visit! Do recommend.
