When I mentioned I only needed eye drops script their response was "you have to go through the routine screening in order to see a doctor". I figured my vision insurance (VSP in network) covers annual screening with a $5 copay (and that includes all the tests) so I went along with it. I have thick cornea which makes my intraocular pressure read slightly elevated (which is normal and very common). Dr Levey said let's do a Glaucoma test, it's gonna come back negative but let's do it. It's covered with my VSP so I agreed. The test was not available the day I was there so I had to come back 2 more times to get tested and then to see Dr Levey again for NEGATIVE results, all together it took 3 visits. End of story I got a bill for $430. They billed my medical insurance instead of vision insurance and now I have to pay the whole amount out of pocket. I agreed to all of it knowing I will owe $5 copay. Billing and office manager ZERO help, they said they don't even have my vision insurance on file, front desk didn't bother to look over my insurance card and note that I have one. As I am now looking at their reviews online other patients had exactly the same problem, this place is fraudulent, I am reporting them to BBB and NJ Health Department.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I arrived 20 minutes early and filled out some basic paperwork. I waited no more than 15 minutes, and a nice nurse took me in the first of several rooms to test my eyes, and finally have doctor Mann check me for glaucoma and a prescription . Because there is new equipment out you don't have to have your eyes dilated anymore. I told Dr. Mann that I could not have my eyes dilated and be able to drive. He assured me it wasn't necessary. This place is in a large medical building across from the Rockaway Mall. There is plenty of free parking. I would definitely recommend coming here if you need an eye exam or have any problems with your vision.

I just got done the cataract surgery on my both eyes during two weeks apart from 08/25 - 09/08/2020. I can't be more happier for the results. I can see more clearly and things are so vivid after the surgery. I thank the Dr. Eric B. He and his staff were very friendly, and quick without seeming like they are trying to rush you out of the office. I had my eye exam, picked out new frames and was ready to get paid up within about an hour. Dr. Millman told me the practice has been open for over 40 years, and his father before him was an optometrist. It must run in the family because Dr. Millman is a great doctor :)

I would've walked out.
