I went to Bosley's only because they were closer to my house...they did not have even one of those foods on that list !! When I went to mother Hubbard's they had six or seven of the foods on that list. They truly carry the healthiest animal food at mother Hubbard's!!! If you love your for babies like I love mine ..do your homework get the right food for them... Mandy is the greatest help in there she's just lovely. She is well informed of all the foods and can answer anything about all of them. Also the owners of the store Tom and his lovely wife are absolute animal lovers as well. Their prices are significantly better than you will find at Tisol and Bosleys. They also sell many accessories you'd find in other pet stores, food bowls, shampoo, kitten formula, cat scratchers, carriers, etc. They have parking and another entrance behind the building.

Self Serve Dog Wash Station…read more Stopped in at the brand new opening of the Bosley's in the Langley Mall. Store is well laid out and the staff super friendly and helpful. Do was as advertised on their website as $15 per dog with towels, shampoo and conditioner all included. The newly installed sprayer for the water was very poor in water volume, it the manager informed me before I purchased and she also told me that replacements had been ordered. The wash area while "open air" to the store, it is cordoned off with an ample space to work. There are two wash basins. The store does advertise that the dryers provided blow only room temperature air. I get it such that dogs aren't harmed by hot blowers but conversely they don't have enough air volume to really be effective. Bottom line I would give this 4/5 stars and I would return here for this service and pet supplies in general.

There were 3 staff in the store - one was in training - and they were all very helpful and pleasant. They signed us up quickly and didn't make a fuss about it being late for our appointment. They gave us a big bag of treats for the pup, checking in about allergies just in case, before handing it over, and gave us a thorough tour of the washing station before leaving us to get on with the job. There were several choices of shampoos and conditioners; professional grooming restraint system; copious amounts of microfiber towels; an air dryer; and even an apron for me. Getting the pup in and out was easy peasy with the aid of a little staircase. There was no rush, even though on weekends you do need an appointment. During the week you don't. Cost is only $12 plus tax. Totally worth it.

This place lost my family's dog…read more They were grooming our two dogs. They are both quite skittish and the groomer should have been aware of this as we had brought them there many times before. For some reason, one of the (now ex-) employees took one of our dogs outside at some point, without his collar on, and he ran away across the parking lot and disappeared. Apparently they tried to chase him but he got away. That employee was then extremely rude to my mother when she came in to find out what happened. The owner, to her credit, fired the negligent employee who let him loose, and was very involved with the efforts to retrieve him (hired a pet searcher, hung posters, drove around searching). We are grateful to her for that. Our pup was (THANKFULLY!) found 2 days later, after being picked up by animal control and brought to SARC. I am torn about this review now because the owner Megan obviously felt horrible and was so relieved when she learned that he was found. However, all of this could have been avoided had that employee acted with a modicum of common sense, and ultimately the responsibility for that does fall on the business owner. People trust you with their pets. To most of us they are family members. To have one of them go lost or missing because someone you trusted let him down is absolutely heartbreaking.

The dog was found 2 days later by animal control but I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place, and so should you. The dog could easily have died. This is not the first time this has happened. Hopefully they are not given the chance to let it happen again. This establishment has no business looking after anyone's animal. Regarding the owner's friend's review: the fact that they have multiple gates just makes it even more ludicrous that they lost a dog. The dog did not plan an elaborate prison break. This is now the second time they have lost a dog. This was a series of unbelievable screwups followed by a token attempt at retrieval and this place should not be in business.

They seem to have the basics, but a lack of shelf-space/floor space probably means that they can't carry a wider selection of merchandise. This location always seems to have ample parking because some of the neighboring businesses are less frequented. The bottom line is, if you are looking for the basic essentials, this location is okay. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and go to one of the bigger locations or another pet chain.
