So I was very excited when I was told we were going out for Mexican at a local family-owned spot that my brother, his wife, and other family members go to all the time. There were seven of us and we ordered a little bit of everything. My brother and sister-in-law always get the molcajete, so of course that was ordered. I went with the chilaquiles with eggs and honestly... best I've ever had. Ever. And I live in Chicago, so that says a lot. My great-niece had chicken fingers with the best French fries, so great kid options, and yes -- margaritas were involved The service was amazing, everyone knew my brother by name, and you could really feel that family-owned vibe. Such a great way to end my first Wisconsin holiday. And yep, today i finished off the leftovers before heading back to Chicago. Thank you so much -- can't wait to go back!

Yelp for the win again!…read more We traveled to the Grand Geneva area with my cousin's family for a ski trip and found this gem via Yelp. Colorful and festive interior and attentive service. Menu is EXTENSIVE, and there is something for everyone. I was torn between the carnitas (which I regret not getting) and the combo plate, where you can choose 2 items and get rice and beans. It was a chicken taco and chile relleno for me, and it was a little on the salty side. The drinks were on point. I enjoyed my Mexican mule and had a couple slurps of the mango/strawberry frozen margarita, which was refreshing and dual colored. Kids' menu had plentiful choices, including quesadillas, tacos, and hot dog and fries. Enjoyable experience here. Loved the throne-like chairs. Absolutely recommend and would return when in the area!

Si estás en Lake Geneva y se te antoja comida mexicana sin arruinarte, sin duda te recomiendo venir aquí y descubrir uno de los secretos mejor guardados de la ciudad. i am writing this in spanish and english so whomever reads this will be able to understand my thoughts. This is a small whole in the wall type of spot. It is rather unassuming because of its location and appearance on the outside but it is wonderful inside! This is certainly a family owned and operated type of spot which is always nice to support. There is a spanish grocery right when you walk in then a mexican restaurant in the back. Everything is cooked fresh and is priced very fairly. I got three tacos de carnitas and they were delicious. I took them to go and ate them once I got home. They were still hot and the salsa they gave me to go with the tacos was awesome too I used all of it! I think for three tacos I paid 10 dollars and they were worth every penny. If you are in Lake Geneva and you are craving a mexican meal without destroying your finances I would certainly recommend coming here and discovering one of the best kept secrets here in town!

The location is unassuming along with the interior of the restaurant but trust me this will become your new favorite spot. Plus it is also a grocery store with a great selection of hot sauce and the best avocados you can get in the Midwest. Also the service is usually really quick! Pro tip: call in your order in advance.
