The extremely rude and confrontional employee at counter says truck is due back 8am. I said.. OK, it's just I rented another truck at Enterprise and it was a 24 hour rental. He says "this isn't Enterprise". Well, yah. He then informs me that I need to refill the tank with gas(of course), but I need to provide them a receipt or they will take the truck and refill it at 8.00 a gallon. He was correct, this isn't Enterprise or any other place I've rented vehicles from. I'm doing the walkaround and I notice the check engine light is on and I'm told "not to worry". First of all, we picked the truck up at 2:30pm yesterday and returned it at 10am this morning and we were charged for TWO FULL DAYS for less than 1 day of having the truck. Upon picking up the truck, we were required to do a walk around with one of their workers. He was very quick and pointed out everything they had seen and had me initial for those things and sign. I did so, trusting that since it was their truck, they knew everything that was wrong with it. When my driver returned Rent It called me and their representative Brian was very curt said he damaged the top cap of the truck and charged me $450 to replace it. I told him that we didn't do the damage and that my driver had absolutely no opportunity to damage it as there was NOTHING OVERHEAD ON HIS ROUTE OTHER THAN SKY. Regardless of this, he didn't listen or care and proceeded to tell me he was going to charge it anyways. I guess my mistake was not taking pictures of the truck since they don't bother to take some of their own. They would rather baselessly accuse and charge their customers. I very rarely write reviews but I felt I needed to so maybe someone will think twice before using Rent It for their truck needs. Terrible company, terrible customer service, negligent policies. Never again.

Kind of a weird storage facility. It was fine when I first moved in but in the last year, it seems…read morelike it's gotten more rundown. I think there are nicer storage facilities in town that seem safer. There seems to be a lady living there in her van with some type of dog like a German Shepherd that's always barking when you walk past it, maybe she doesn't technically live there but every time I've gone morning and night her van is always there and it seems like she's parked next to her storage unit. So she's not technically living in her storage unit, but she is living in a van right outside her storage unit it seems. also for a very long time and every time I drive up, the gate is wide open, and I don't need my card to access my unit, which I don't think is safe for a person or your belongings there have been times when I drove in to get some thing out of my unit and then I've left because the gate was open and there were shady people in their cars/ vans that don't seem to be moving anything in or out. They are just kind of sitting there. Like maybe it's become a new mobile homeless spot hang out. I've called them a few times to ask if they are going to fix the gate and they always say they're getting it fixed. I don't recommend this unit for, any line females or college girls as it seems kind of shady. There used to be an office with an attendant at the front but now it seems the office is closed down and is down the street a few blocks so I rarely see employees there ever The whole place seems to be run by college age students who absolutely do not care so if you try to complain, nothing will happen.

We needed to go from New England to Ojai, CA and flew into Santa Barbara for the shorter drive. We…read morebooked a car online to pickup at the airport. The flight got in around 10-11pm PDT. My wife double checked that we could get a late pickup and was assured that, of course, she could get a late pickup. On arrival, we found no one at the Budget counter. The other rental companies said Budget *never* did late pickups. We called the toll free number and they confirmed that, no, they didn't do late pickups. Weird My wife went by in the morning to get the car. When she looked at the bill is was DOUBLE the price quoted. The guy at the counter mumbled something about how the terms of the contract had changed and that accounted for increased price. "We couldn't pick UP the car to begin with," she told him. Only then did he correct the price. She brought the car back to the hotel and complained about the steering. I went out and looked at the car. This is what the driver's side front tire looked like. See that not insignificant gash in it? That's a big no. Plus (and it may just be me) but the tire look fairly close to bald. We took it back and exchanged it for a new car. I showed him the photo of the gashed tire. "Well," he said gruffly, "we can't really inspect EVERY car that comes through." Really? Even at major airports, when I've rented a car I've had to do a walk around with the agent. But, heck, why should they have to insure the cars are safe to drive? They did give us a different car. "It's in spot #14." Naturally, there WAS no car in spot #14. So BACK to the counter. "Oh. It's around there. It's a Crown. Just hit the alarm button until you hear it." We finally found it. I walked back to the desk and dropped the key to the previous car on the counter and walked away. "Hey!," he called out, "is the tank full??" Let's recap - we drove the car from the hotel and back to Budget. It took about 7mins. So, yes, the goddamn tank was full. More, importantly, you gave us a crap car which you tried to inflate the price on, had to give us a newer, better car...and you're concerned about a full tank?? You had several screw ups already. Let it go, you idiot. Of course, when the bill came through it was wrong.
