I just had massive swelling on my neck - an obvious active and progressing infection...and the infection made my body feel like I had a bad flu, and also had pain across whole gumline on lower teeth. Milton Hospital is my go-to for ER. Drove myself in, parking right by door. Brought right in, only person in waiting room, triaged right away, tested for covid, put in a bed, given meds right away to quell the pain and made very comfortable. I was afraid and worried, but my nurse was so kind sweet and attentive that I was able to relax, put my headphones on and watched tv on my phone while CT scan with contrast was arranged. I was told I was going to be admitted, but eventually found out that prior jaw surgery complete with bone graft made it necessary to transfer me via ambulance to Beth Israel Boston where Maxillofacial Surgeons from B.U. would treat me. Logistically I was slightly irked that I hadnt been told I was going into boston as I had only prepared to be away from home for 2 days, 3 max, but no stars off for that because it was the right thing to do, just could have been told sooner is all. Tx to ambulance team was exemplary. I had to leave my car 4+ days (through 2 snowstorms) and there was no problem with that. Besides the obvious progressing infection, my main stress was to get pain control, and secondary stress was going into an ER in "covid" pandemic... Milton Hospital ER gets an A++ on all of that. My treatment was of the highest standards, and the covid precautions made the visit a 0 stress from that perspective from the moment i entered the emergency room. What a gem to have this level of care in my community!!

The cardiac and also the rigorous department is a joke. They do grossly mishandled my mother's care it wasn't even funny. She came in with a severe kidney stones. They tented her and rushed her to cardiac. The doctor work her up for a week scheduled to do a car the following Monday. New doctor comes on says no way. My mom spends another week on that floor no iv. She basically came out severely debudrsyed enemies. After three weeks and she is now in hospice due to their gross negligence. They never clear her z9 to z8 cm kidney stones. Never did the car and released her still with chest things on her chest and severely sick. Do not bring your loved ones here. Stay away from a doctor named Anne Marie on cardiac. She helped kill my mother

Both my parents see her as well and refuse to have anyone else as their primary care provider! After years of hunting and switching back and forth to different doctors we have finally found THE one! She is the easiest to talk to and always makes you feel as if you were her only patient for the day. I also love the whole staff here! From the second you walk in to check in for your appointment you are greeted with warm smiles and very friendly personalities. I would never go anywhere else!

They have 2 stations for self check in. Nurses, docs, and lab staffs are overall professional. The check up room is also clean. The downside is the facility. The main entrance is on the 2nd floor, then dr offices are on 3rd and 4th floor. To get there either use a very small elevator 3-4 ppl max or climb a spiral stairs. I hope they can do something to make this office more ADA friendly and elderly friendly.

You either need to park on the street, which in this case there were none available, or park in the parking garage. When I parked in the parking garage, everybody was parked in two spots. I realized over time that she was thorough and only wanted the best for me--even when she's really busy and has a million other things to do. She could simply write off what my other doctors have said as correct to make her life easier, but she never has. She deserves a lot of respect for that. As for the waiting room--staff behind counter are amazingly sweet. but the tv in the waiting room is literally always on the dumbest tv station. When you're waiting it's not the best. Especially if you go to the doctor a lot like me.

The young lady on the phone was pleasant and friendly. However, when I got there, there were two young ladies at the desk who looked at me like I had 10 heads. Neither one welcomed me or said a word to me until I said something first. They both seemed so bothered. Overall the front desk staff was not friendly nor were they clear with their directions. The waiting area was clean and tidy. Seemed like I was the only one there. I didn't wait for long. I filled out the form and waited maybe 5 minutes and the MA, I believe her name was Maddison? Starts with an M. She was super friendly and easy going. She definitely knows the area well. I recently moved to the area and didn't have a pharmacy in mind. She quickly asked where I moved to and immediately suggested a cvs pharmacy I am familiar with 5 minutes from me. Shortly after she took my rapid strep test, the provider was in in less than 10 minutes. Dr. Paul Paganelli-- he was amazing! He listened to all my concerns and was super personal. He prescribed me antibiotics and I was on my way!! He made sure to walk me out and quickly sent the orders to my pharmacy. On my way to pharmacy, I received a text saying my prescription was ready for pick up! Amazing back end staff who truly cares.

They put a stent in and all last week did the work up for the clearing of her arteries. Blood test ekg scan blood work and the cardiac doctor penciled her in for a caf this past Monday. I did not know they rotate out doctors. In comes this Anne Marie Anosropoulos. She sees my mom for all of ten minutes and declines the precedure We did everything needed to get her to do the caf . Come Monday. They switch to another doctor. They are now saying no. They said they were bringing in a third party for independent review. That was bullshit . We have waited all day and exhausted. They rotate doctors so you are not talking to the one following her the first week. This place is more running around with these young people and put zero care into the patients. She had no history or knowledge or anything. My mom didn't have an iv. At the end of the day she comes in and asks. I said why. Where were you all all day ? She than proscribed nausea medicine that could cause another heart I code r. I asked her to out in place dnr. It still haven't been done. I'm not happy. We wasted all last week. Why didn't they keep her in urology. She still has a huge d Kidney stone. Okaxe is pathetic . Go to mass general. Please avoid this place at all costs. They don't care at all and I'm exhausted trying to get their attention. Come here if you want a family member to die. They care more about teaching f than the actual patient. This was one of the most stressful medical experiences we have ever dealt with…read more After reviewing the MRI, surgery was presented as necessary and urgent due to severe pain and symptoms. A surgery date was scheduled, all pre-op testing was completed, and we proceeded believing authorization was being properly handled. Over multiple days, we received completely conflicting information regarding whether: * authorization was submitted, * authorization was denied, * a letter of medical necessity was sent, * and whether surgery was officially happening. At one point, the surgery was put back on the schedule, the hospital called to confirm arrival instructions, and shortly afterward we were called again and told the surgery was canceled. Meanwhile, Blue Cross Blue Shield provided information that directly conflicted with what we were being told by the office. The biggest issue was not just the cancellation itself -- it was the repeated reversals, poor communication, lack of transparency, and emotional toll while dealing with severe ongoing pain. Patients deserve clear and accurate communication, especially when major surgery is involved.

It was very busy so I had to stay in the hallway, and even though it was still a great attentive ordeal. Matt was checking on me and making sure I was doing good. I had been hit by a car while I was in the crosswalk it was a terrorizing thing that happened to me. The next afternoon I was brought up to a ward with many beds, and again I was given the best care by the nurses, Mary and Laura. I felt as though I was the only patient that they each had. Your Nurses are the best ever, at South Shore Hospital. Thank you so much to everyone that I met on 12/10/22 and 12/11/22

First Do No Harm South Shore Hospital in Weymouth…read moreMassachusetts must learn and remember the first and most sacred rule in medicine - First Do No Harm: On a cold morning on December 2, 2024, at 6:00AM in the morning, I brought my one and only sibling to South Shore Hospital for very important and much-awaited surgery. He was using his walker and walked though the revolving door entrance to the main lobby. As he walked through, the door malfunctioned and grabbed his arm, squashing it against the side of the frame and the hydraulically moving door panel. This was witnessed by the SSH personnel at the front desk who immediately summoned security personnel. They were both very helpful and directed us to go straight to the ER for treatment. They BOTH relayed that the door had been a consistent problem and my brother was not the first person to be injured. They both stated they had requested (on several occasions) that the door be repaired - or, at the very least, a warning sign erected. Nothing had been done by the time my brother was injured. Currently, South Shore Hospital is refusing to help my brother or offer any type of consideration. The hospital's insurance company was notified of the incident immediately and the blatant negligence of the hospital was described and memorialized. The cold-hearted, non-caring, disrespectful treatment by the hospital has been stunning. Beware if you go to South Shore Hospital expecting good care or assistance.

The pads they place on the bed side panels at night are put on the floor during the day and have been dirty . The wheelchair he needed to use had broken panels where pads were to be, shin rests against metal and breaks the skin . The nurses are a mixed bag- some wonderful most not very attentive .
