The work was done satisfactorily, however, there was a miscommunication between him, me, and my husband, and one item wasn't finished. I take part of the blame for that, however, he put railings up on exterior stairs, and instead of cutting the posts and trimming them out, he left them high and unfinished. I had given him a picture of exactly what I wanted, and we even discussed it, and instead, he just asked my husband if they looked OK, and my husband, who really wasn't part of the whole aesthetics discussion, said they looked okay. Now, they had been calling me and videoing me on everything, and why they didn't do it on this, is beyond me. Not a huge deal, and he finished about a half a day early, and he got paid for the job, I called him right away, and he definitely agreed that there was a miscommunication and he was sorry that he left the railing unfinished. I think it would probably be about 45 minutes worth of work altogether at most. I know it's a bit of a trek for him to come to where we have our place, so I had asked him for two other estimates, and I said get back to me on the other estimate and then when you do that for us if it's OK, could you please just finish the other job. So he agreed to that, and he promised he would come that Saturday. He did not come when he promised, and then he stopped communicating with me. I finally was able to reach him, and I'm very nice during all of these transactions. I'm always very understanding. He said he was having some personal issues with a relative, so I totally understood. He promised me he would come that Monday. We drove an hour and a half to meet and pay him, and he never showed up. I texted him several more times and called him. Crickets. I asked him to please let us know if he was going to do the job or we would make other arrangements and to just please let me know. I don't care what kind of schedule you have or what kind of an emergency you have, but when you have a business, just take the time to write a cursory text to a customer and say, "I can't make it when I said I would,." He continued to string us along, and we lost valuable time trying to hire another contractor. If you can get him to come out and do a small job, he's fine. I would not rely on him to come back. Really a disappointment. :(

We just bought a property in the Blue Ridge area and wanted a thorough deep clean before moving in. Suzanne was responsive, offered a fair price, and could come within our timeframe. Day of the cleaning they were a few hours late. No biggie because we weren't there. Later that evening I received photos of the finished job. Mostly dark and blurry, impossible to judge a proper clean from. I offered to pay 50% now and 50% 2 days later once we arrived. I was told by Suzanne their payment policy required up front payment. I had never seen this policy but since she had access to my cabin and I wasn't there, I decided to trust her and said I expected them to come back out if anything was not as expected once I arrived. When we arrived to the cabin 2 days later after 11 hours of driving, I was incredibly disappointed to find our cabin still filthy. I was so shocked that I cried. I was concerned that I had been scammed. There was dust everywhere. Floors very clearly were not vacuumed. There was stuff all over the rugs, dead bugs on the floors. Every baseboard was caked in dust. The closets clearly weren't touched. Dust and random objects all over the floors and baseboards. The inside and outside of our kitchen cabinets were so dirty. These were all items on the agreed upon checklist that should have been cleaned. Suzanne sent two people out two days later to redo the cleaning. Arielle and Angie were amazing and did a great job. When they arrived they didn't have any of the proper cleaning supplies because they were told the house was clean and just needed some touch ups. They were shocked by how much cleaning was needed and ended up spending ~4 hours deep cleaning with me helping. I personally spent 4 hours cleaning my kitchen since the inside, outside and tops of cabinets were not touched. I'm glad Suzanne sent people out to redo the job, but I cannot believe this was necessary in the first place. I never even received a simple apology for my experience. If I were a business owner I would never allow that poor level of service for a customer. My assumption is that she outsourced the job to someone and never saw the finished work herself or she would not have allowed this.

Absolutely the best appliance service in the area. Our 10 year old Whirlpool refrigerator stopped making ice. We called Milton Service and scheduled an appointment. Mike called when he was on his way and arrived on time. He was courteous and professional and took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. When he left he explained the unit would make ice, but that, unless we wanted to spend a lot more money, we would not be able to get ice to dispense through the door. We said we were fine with that. Unfortunately, the unit did not produce ice, so we called and Mike was able to come out the next day. Same professionalism and courtesy. He phoned Whirlpool tech support and was on the phone for about 20 minutes while he diagnosed the problem. Turns out, there was a short in a wire at the bottom of the freezer door - he showed me exactly what it was. Unfortunately, the cost to replace the door is prohibitive and it's easier to just replace the unit. Mike did not charge us for this follow-up visit. Definitely two thumbs up!! I called this guy up and he's not one of the name brands that you would typically go to, but his professionalism and attention to detail and listening to my problems. He was able to come out diagnose my issue fix my dishwasher where I thought I was going to have to buy a new one for one-third the money. While on site he listen to my frigerator and was able to avoid another service call and fixed it too. Mike was professional and reasonable in is pricing. Was on time for the appointment which means a lot in a working home. I would definitely use them again. read more

I work at a cabin rental agency and we have to contact Milton Services from time to time for appliance repairs at our cabins and they are always prompt and get the repairs taken care of in a timely fashion.
