We went on a Monday afternoon, it wasn't busy, less than $20 for my family to enjoy the day and beat the Texas heat. The swimming hole is a man-made spring fed lake. There's a couple diving boards (one is a high dive), a setup net for water volleyball, a BLOB and plenty of extra room for swimming. Plus I was told they are going to add a couple big slides for next year. Beautiful scenery and lots of places to get shade (with tables) for picnics or cooking out. Bathrooms are nice with a small shower (shower could use a little upgrade but it was suffice for its purpose). Friendly owners and staff. Overall great place to spend a summer afternoon. I highly recommend a trip for the family! Tips: bring life jackets if you plan to do the blob. You can not do it without one and they are not provided (although you can purchase one for around $15). Careful walking in the grassy areas...there are stickers. Camping is only aloud for RV's. Daily admission for swimming is $4.50 (free for two and under) and $2.50 to park. AND the park is dog friendly, which is a bonus for many.

On arrival we almost left. The park had deep washed out places that could not be crossed. Our site was not even close to being level. It was also "in the road". We could not tell where our site ended and the park road began. There was s sizable tree stump that made it hard to line up with the power box. Dog poo all over the area around the laundry and shower. The bathrooms, were private and were of a very nice size. However they were the dirtiest I have ever seen. We stayed two nights in a fifth wheeler. We will not be back.

Room was $45 a night plus tax, 7 night stay was $289.37, refundable deposit $40 for 7 day's, then a $10 a night pet fee, for 7 day was $70. Totaling $400 start with. Other places average $70+ a night, $100+ deposit 1 night stay, pet fee $50+ a night. I've experienced with cheap hotels is so bad that you run back to your car lock all doors and speed the fluck out of there don't ever go back. This place was very clean, quiet, and friendly atmosphere. Room's have either a queen or king bed, microwave, and a mini fridge to use. Ice machine outside office. Not sure what's up with the pool it's Can't be used. I've never been able to sleep more than an hour or 2 in unfamiliar places. I slept 8+ hours every day. We will stay there when we return to visit.
