I have been living here at mimosa Valley since 1-2022. I really enjoy living here it is very quiet and peaceful. There are Deer that roam around, squirrels, and plenty of birds to watch and other wildlife also. There are pretty green rolling hills to look at and great neighbors. Accommodated a few members of our crew for a few months and were very easy to work with, fair price, and great location

We have had our trailer at Mimosa now for over a year. We have a golf membership at Decatur Golf Club and this RV park is a mile or so down the road. Since we only visit on the weekends I know my trailer is in a safe and secure location (I don't even lock my RV). We looked at other RV parks around Decatur and this one was hands down the best, both on security/privacy and the monthly price. I would highly recommend Mimosa Valley RV Park to anyone looking for a long term sight. read more

I don't understand the older reviews at all. I've been here almost 2 years, and find the park to be peaceful and comfortable. The setting is beautiful, with deer, turkeys, and other wildlife visiting the nearby countryside (no intrusions into the park). It is well-maintained and clutter-free. No noise from traffic and no drive-throughs. Excellent Wi-Fi and very reasonable rates. You can get to town in less than 5 minutes, and Decatur is a nice place to live and shop. Why would I leave a quiet, friendly, securely-gated community for a noisy, crowded overgrown park with no trees or other great scenery? Owners have always been helpful, sometimes well beyond what could be expected. read more

Don't fall for the trees, streams and animals. Your not allowed to get near any of it.. Its all fenced off. Whatever money you give em you'll never see a dime back.. Our rent was mailed on the next day after receiving the invoice very month. It took sometimes 30 days for her bank to process it. The part about the noise and the yappy dog is ridiculous. Our trash was taken to the dumpster every day. She finally had to get cats too keep the mice away. We followed her 5 pages of rules however, we were so completely scammed and miserable while here by this park and person that we are now leary of all RV parks. read more

This delightful pet friendly site, with its relative isolation (the city of Decatur is after all only a few short miles from the RV Park); safety and quite; and accommodating owner is highlighted by surrounding countryside amenities such as woods, a running creek, and the many wonders that nature has to offer. As in most countryside areas Mimosa Valley RV Park enjoys the marvel of plentiful wildlife. I have seen armadillos, deer, opossums, wild turkeys, cardinals, owls, hawks, and have enjoyed the chirping of birds that are music to my ears. As such it is occasionally necessary to keep an eye out for some of the animals that have made their home in these wooded areas many centuries before we humans settled here. Nonetheless, I have yet to feel uncomfortable or vulnerable at home in my RV or while I enjoy a walk with my dog on the park's well-maintained property. The local area is brimming with breathtaking scenery and the City of Decatur offers everything needed for a comfortable lifestyle. I could not ask for a better place to settle down in. All this and the abundance of free roaming wildlife make Mimosa Valley RV Park a joy to live in. I look forward to many more years of peaceful country living in a place that is owned and managed by a true professional who can be counted on to maintain a high level of integrity, honesty, as well as pro active leadership in all of their dealings, and specifically as in my case - with the residents of Mimosa Valley RV Park. I have never been so disappointed in the professionalism and communication of the owner. We were not allowed to contract Cable, Internet services, the area for the pets to walk is covered in grass burs and the owner was short and curt. No children were allowed. I had mice in the RV the first week and they destroyed my dish cloths and my air mattress and a Copperhead snake after the mice! I received no assistance from the owner. Dont waste your money. My elderly sister had to evacuate the hurricane in Houston and I contacted the owner and she was not allowed to enter with me there after driving 4 hours in the night. read more

Beautiful country property close to town and ideal for the long term. Very few spaces insures privacy and overcrowding. Electric, sewer, water hookups. Reasonably priced. Rules are strictly enforced, so very important to read and understand them before signing on. read more

I found this place for my elderly parents to park their RV local so when they came in to visit grands they would be comfortable. This was going to be long term. Upon arrival was meet at gate by owner who stated " we will see about children, I don't allow them on premises " . For several months this was the only contact. Owner didn't respond to text, calls, or physical knocks on door . The restrictions the owner came up with far outweighed the amenities you should have if you are paying for a spot. I choose this spot thinking it would be secure for my elderly parents who only visited about 4-6 nights a month ( if that ) . My elder aunt who had to evacuate the coast during hurricane Laura was refused to stay if tenet wasn't here wasn't allowed to stay on property for 2 days . I'm local and all in all I would not recommend this park to anyone. Mice and snake infested. We're not allowed internet or cable unless the owner" liked the company " . Just very poor communication, and not worth your time . read more
