I just renewed my contract with Minc. I absolutely LOVE this agency and all those who are hustling behind the scenes for their actors! Melissa, Amanda, Mariko, and whoever else I missed, are beyond helpful and professional. They know what they are doing, and they do it well. These last 2 months have been so busy, I have had at least 2 auditions a day, some of those callbacks. I booked 2 commercials within a month an a half, was pinned for another just last week, and I just keep getting busier! Getting called in by new casting directors, and am becoming a regular at other offices. The ladies have been extremely flexible with timeframe requests and other questions I ask, even having to book out last minute for Jury Duty. If you're a professional actor, who has put in hard work, and has common sense, Minc is more helpful, patient, and friendly than a lot of other agents I've encountered. I actually discovered Minc on Yelp, and was inspired by all the positive reviews (Melina P's in particular - I wanted the kind of agent she was describing!) to do some research. I checked out Minc's social media account - their actors are working. Fast forward, I signed with Minc a few weeks ago, and so far I'm thrilled - the audition opportunities literally started the day after my new headshots went online, and I have been to a few of the big commercial casting offices. Melissa really seems to have all her ducks in a row. She presents herself as someone who's very sharp and invested, and has made herself available for guidance at the same time - she provided lots of useful input during our initial phone interview, and when my new headshots were ready, she gave her time to sift through my whole gallery and help choose the winners. To address the negative review regarding time frames - agents are extremely busy seeking out opportunities for their clients, and providing time frames requires them to drop what they're doing (AKA submitting us for jobs) and hunt backwards through submissions. This is more than a hassle for them, it's a potential loss of opportunity for income on both sides. read more

Extremely rude professionals that work here! I called this establishment with a question about acting and if you can sign with an agency with no acting experience. (Keep in mind I was new to the business at the time and was just wondering how it worked.) The lady gave me a response as if she was annoyed with me calling. This was her only response to me, "Well I suggest you take some acting classes have a nice day." Hangs up the phone, it was just her tone of voice and how she hung up on me that fast without explaining anything to me at all. I left three different voice mails asking for an apology from the rude and unprofessional lady who answered my call and quickly hung up. I haven't got my apology yet! Lady whoever you are that answered the phone that day, you don't belong working with the public if that's the way you're going to treat people. I had a very negative experience when trying to discuss a complication with a potential job opportunity with this company recently. It was not necessarily the having the interview canceled due to my location (which they should have known anyway as it was on my resume. I guess they didn't read it enough) but it was how I was treated when I called the office as I felt their reasoning to pull the interview was unfair. I live on the opposite side of the country and I feel if I am applying to a company in a different location, it should be safe to assume that I want to move there (which I did mention). On the phone, when I was trying to explain the reason for my call, I was interrupted several times, yelled at to stop talking and overall felt the other person on the phone was rude and not giving me time to at least get my words out to listen to them. If this person had let me speak and kindly explained their side, I would not be writing this at all. Overall, very rude to those who are not employees or clients. Treat every single person you meet with kindness. That is what I do. Would have loved to work for you guys to try to give young actors their start and assist in the world to help create diversity on the tv screens. I am sorry we missed out. read more

I signed with Minc Talent some eight months or so ago. I was apprehensive to say the least about signing. I had been with a number of agencies prior to this and never felt completely at ease with any of the companies. Some were better than others, but for me, given that they had my financial future in their hands, I never felt that they were giving it their all. From my end, I worked hard and submitted for anything that remotely fitted my profile. So eventually, I did sign up to be represented by Minc Talent. From the get go, I never felt more at ease and 'at home' than I did with dealing with the company. Melissa, and then Mariko, backed by the team in Carlsbad, made me feel welcome. Hardly a couple of days go by without some action or word coming in from Head Office. I'm sure that most who sign with an agent, understand that the agent will get you some of your work, the meaningful stuff, the big bucks if you will. But it is the actress/actor who must still get the day to day jobs. If the agent manages to get you to 10% of your auditions, it is the responsibility of the actor to get the other 90%. That's the way it works. But understand the harder I work for me, the easier it becomes for the agent to place me at auditions - I have built up a track record for Melissa/Mariko to capitalize on. I should add, that the company now has office space in the 90028 zip area. To any who are serious about getting on in this business, talk to Melissa. She is very straightforward. I like that approach - I know it's not for all. And just for the record, I am a senior citizen, I came to Hollywood late in life but I do know a little of what I speak. read more
