They were the first people that I worked with and have had much success with them thus far that is why I'm excited to Boast. ***If you're new to bein' an extra or thinkin' about signnin' up with them. Just take the plunge. It's a one time fee of $25 bones. You take a headshot and you're in their data base. You call their number and you see what's available and if the producers like their look they will book. It's pretty self-explanatory. Castin' agents: Jeff Olan, Ryan, Milton, Gil, and Vera.. Each individual has their unique style on the phone but Shows: Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Medium, and Hard times of RJ Berger... (They occasionally have other projects but this is the most consistent. I feel that as an individual of color (Someone who isn't white) especially in Hollyweird can be very very discouraging at times. If you notice on set... The cast and crew is very pre-dominating white. However, you can't let that stop you from achieving your dreams. I feel that through all the casting agents and and calling services Jeff Olan is definitely the most friendly and in terms of caterin to individuals who aren't white such as myself and others. Also, not to knock other places such as Sandi Alessi and Central which are good. But the success rate is just so much harder to get booked and like everything they do pick a lot of favorites. I reached out via email and was finally contacted 1 hour prior to me having to be on set with a gibberish answer that I'm sure she (Debbie) did not read prior to hitting the send button. as I'm writing this I am still unclear about payroll so I am choosing not to film that particular project since payroll is through BTS. from experience, if you CANNOT contact a company then there is a chance that you will NEVER be paid for your services.
