So when I lived in Florida, Deborah was always my go to lash girl. When Deborah couldn't fill me in last min I'd go to Rachel and I always felt they both were consistant with the quality of work they want to represent the brand. Unfortunately I've moved to New Jersey and haven't found a place that does my lashes as clean and neat as Deborah and Rachel. I decided to take a lash course. There were no human models, just a mannequin doll with lash strips. It was an 8 hour class, no manual just notes, no individual supervision and had us use the wrong tweezers for classics making it very frustrating. Deborah took time out of her Christmas vacation home to bring me a manual, offer me guidance and supervision as I applied a full set. She even checked my work and removed the ones that weren't good AND TOLD ME WHY! She guided me to which tweezers work best and which glue was better for a beginner like myself. The difference between my work based of my knowledge of my first 8 hour lash class vs the 5 hours I spent with Deborah is insane!! Deborah and I go back to beauty school days and regardless of our personal relationship, she is a true professional! I recently became a certified lash artist thanks to the amazing ladies at Mind, Beauty & Soul Salon! Not only do they offer wonderful services for all their clients, they also teach classes! I just had my first appointment with Kristine yesterday and I will absolutely be returning. She was so kind, knowledgable, professional and gave me a stellar experience. The other girls that work there were also incredibly kind and made me feel welcomed and right at home. Kristine started our appointment with a consultation, which enabled her to discuss what I was hoping to achieve and what she would recommend. I really enjoyed that aspect because including the client in what treatments would benefit them most and why allows for great dialogue and the ability to create a strong and lasting foundation. As a guy it is difficult to enter any beauty based location. I work in the sun and am exposed to alot of chemicals that would negativity affect my skin. With Deb and Rachel I am able to balance that out. I go here for skin treatment. Facials and derma planes are so beneficial to my skin maintenance. Furthermore I also avoid my barber for any eye brow maintenance and go straight to Deb. Her tints and waxings help me maintain a natural look that most male barbers actually over accentuate.
