I initially went in for an IV after a night of heavy drinking with the boyz in Fall 2023 but have been on with them as a Concierge Medicine patient, plus TRT (Testosterone treatment), GLP-1s for Medical Weight-Loss, & even some Peptide Therapy options which even fixed the sciatica in my lower back & legs!!!!! That was the real kicker for me... I had been spending THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of dollars for YEEEAARRRS seeing all different doctors, specialists, chiropractors, physical therapists, & even got so desperate I tried "energy healing" with "Reiki masters," and from 2018-2023 my back pain continued to get worse & worse & worse and not a single specialist I was seeing seemed to truly care about my outcome as long as they were getting paid to do so... After those 5 MISERABLE years, I was open to anything & was going to try cortisone shots as a last-ditch effort to avoid surgery, when my entire life changed! As I mentioned, I initially went to Pure Health & Hormone Center with a few buddies after getting back from a Bachelor Party in Puerto Rico (JFYI, also HIGHLY recommended to any soon-to-be grooms, btw. You can thank me later. Haha! ;-P). Anyways, my buddy prebooked Hangover IVs in Pure's office off MacDill Ave for himself, me, the bachelor, & another buddy. We were all in pretty terrible shape recovery-wise & went in wanting nothing more than to get rid of our headaches & bellyaches. LOL! Fortunately for me, we left with so much more than that! Not sure if you know this, but if you haven't had an IV before, an IV appointment can take anywhere between 30-90 minutes, depending on the size of the IV bag plus whatever they are putting in it as part of the treatment. Well, our IVs took a little under an hour & during that time, one of the business owners & an office manager, Dave, came over to chat with us to see if we were feeling better yet or if we needed anything else. As 4 hungover dudes tend to do, we unloaded all of our health ailments on Dave, thinking he'd be overburdened by the list of aches, pains, & strains we were feeling, including any chronic ailments that are there when we aren't 3 sheets to the wind, as they say. LOL!!! Wellllll, it turned out that the joke was on us, because they do so much more than IVs in that office & have so many different products & services at so many various price points that it truly felt as though they had something to help anyone & everyone depending on individual needs & individual budgets. When Dave mentioned that he overcame his sciatica using a "wolverine peptide," or something like that, called BPC-157, he immediately caught my attention & I knew I needed more than just an IV from these people... Sooo, naturally, I came back to Pure Health's office later that same week so they could draw my blood to test my health levels. OMG, MEN! IF YOU ARE OVER 30 & HAVE NEVER HAD A FULL, COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL EVALUATION, CLOSE YOUR COMPUTER (or phone) & GET ONE NOW!!!! Within 3 weeks of my 1st IV appointment, I was already receiving my medications to start Testosterone Replacement Therapy to fix my Low T that I didn't even know I had or was suffering from & also Peptides Therapy using the BPC-157 (I ended up getting on TB-500 & another peptide, CJC/Ipamorelin, later in 2024 but I only wanted to start with the TB-500). Not only was it a smooth, easy, & affordable process, but the team at Pure Health & Hormone really does go above & beyond to make sure their patients understand what is going on in their body/ with their health, why these things may be happening, actually TEACHING YOU how you can combat any health issues or "out of range" health marker levels naturally, & Medical/ Rx options for help correct any imbalances near-immediately!! I've never been to a doctor's office like this before & refuse to go back to one that operates in the "old school" way that medical offices are usually run... To think that my $50 per month concierge fee is literally less than my copay amount & that $50 gets me an on-call doctor like I'm freakin' Beyonce is beyond me, but I'm not going to complain about that... Hahaha!!!!! Anyways, I can obviously go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, etc. but just do yourself a favor & look into them yourselves or call their office, because like I said above, they are HUGE on EDUCATION and never leave you feeling rushed off the phone or out of their offices. I also understand that many people don't seek help because of a real or imagined social stigma to doing so. However, I believe it's important for all of us to share reliable resources that may be helpful to others in need of emotional healing or support. I chose the Holistic Mental Health Clinic as a resource for emotional healing, particularly in the area of post-traumatic stress. I was hesitant to make an appointment anywhere, and I am fortunate that I chose this clinic. The clinic provides a professional and safe environment in a medium-sized office building located in St Peterburg, Florida. It is located in a partly-residential area of the city on a main street where parking is not a problem. There is a dedicated parking lot next to the building that offers free parking. My experience at this clinic was rewarding. My counselor, Lynn, was very professional, intelligent, capable, thorough, and caring. I found Lynn to be reliable, dependable, well-grounded, and honest at all times. Lynn added professional guidance and value to my healing process and she taught me coping skills that were proven, balanced and effective. Lynn was never judgmental. She always had my best interests as her primary objective. Lynn never promised unrealistic expectations, and she skillfully facilitated my healing process emotionally, physically, and spiritually by offering insightful and proven strategies that I could adapt to my lifestyle. Although Lynn was an essential part of my healing process for whom I will always be extremely grateful, the professional relationship we had between us was based on self-empowerment and mutual cooperation, not dependence. She presented opportunities for healing and learning, but never encouraged me to do more than I was comfortable doing. She identified challenge areas that I had not seen, and gently but confidently encouraged me to push through areas of discomfort and challenge myself when I felt ready. As far as my expectations as to outcome, Lynn created mutually agreed upon goals for my sessions, clarifying both health-related and cost-related expectations. She never cut my sessions short. All my expectations were either met to my satisfaction or exceeded. My health insurance does not cover counseling, but my overall spiritual, emotional and physical well-being is something that I value and I juggled my budget to afford this investment in myself. I have never regretted that I did so and the results I experienced were both impressive and have been on-going. The clinic was at all times transparent in its billing practices, accepted credit cards as payment, and accommodated my scheduling and budget concerns to the extent it could do so. Like many professional organizations that are entirely service-based for individuals, this clinic similarly charges for "no show" appointments. I never had the impression that fees were more important than my well-being. I recommend this clinic for anyone experiencing a mental health challenge and I encourage you to set up an initial consultation. However, whether it will be a good fit for you -- or right for you at this time in your life -- is something you and someone at the clinic will need to determine (you should ask what the rate for an initial consultation would be in advance ).
