However, I decided this time to try my luck at this casino and see what happens as I saw last time they did have a lot of old school three reel machines that were not volatile. I should try it. The roulette game was out of commission so I played Wild Thing and nothing happened. I then played Triple Double Dollar and even though I did see the machine had a jackpot on there I decided to do the "backup" spins and little did I know I hit my first jackpot there of $2400.00 They do take a long time to get to you that I had to get someone from the cashier cage to come get me. Then, I had to wait another 30 minutes for my handpay to appear. I ended up playing some really old Aristocrat games while I waited and they were a lot of fun as I got a bonus on one and the other a great line hit. I played triple stars with no luck, but double diamond deluxe which gave me $400 dollars. I got my energy drinks with my voucher as the coffee shop is the only one opened. Our water in the tub didn't drain well at all. We were in room 1810. Evening staff for checkout was very nice. Checked in late and were hungry. Java's Deli and Smokehouse were open late. We got it to go and went back upstairs. Great burgers at Smokehouse. My baby enjoyed his pizza from the deli. TV wasn't working well with the remote, but we figured it out and made it work. Bed was comfortable. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Checkout was easy though the morning crew was very dry and not friendly. Overall, was decent for what we needed.

All the amenities were there, iron and ironing board, plenty of towels, we got 2 bottles of water, coffee and the room was spacious. Conveniently located right off the highway. The casino was nice too, free drinks for players and they actually had a cart they pushed around to make drinks, as another option. Waitresses were walking around too for drink orders. We got margaritas and beer but they served everything. The casino hostess was not friendly but we dealt with her real quick to get our cards.

If you like to fish, you will have easy access to the Grand Bayou reservoir with two lighted ramps for those early days and late evenings. Grand Bayou Resort is a gem, in that it offers RV/Trailer and primitive campsites to the right once you pass the main security office. If you go left from the security office you will be greeted by cabins up the hill followed by lodges but may be a favorite or the bungalows toward the rear. *If you decide on the bungalows and need to up pack, you can access the bungalows from a parking lot nearby, but I recommend following the signs to their beach and drive up a small hill to unload your gear then you can keep straight and park in the lot. Security makes their rounds so your vehicle is safe. The staff is very friendly and will provide you with any information needed if you are not from the area. Walk around and be with nature. There is nothing like having a fresh cup of hot tea or coffee in the morning while sitting on the porch watching the sunlight dance on the waves. Almost forgot, time goes slow in these parts so if you are not going to make it to the resort by the time the office close, you will need to make arrangements because you will need a code to enter through the security gates.!!
