My first few months were exactly as he described - Janelle was amazing, her focused massage work, the education-sharing and care Janelle provided, helped immensely for me as a new patient and my rotator cuff/frozen shoulder situation. I was grateful for the recommendation. Insurance covered and I was progressively feeling relief and results. Sadly Janelle was leaving this practice. As her thoughtful parting gesture Janelle recommended a couple therapists to continue where she left off, which I looked forward to as she spoke so highly of their level of care and service. Then COVID hit. Fast forward two months and now I'm eager to start the therapy up again, I called today asking when they would be open for service. To my SHOCK the therapists (Kendall) have returned to work already, in fact 4 weeks ago. I was told Kendall was only calling back her "priority" list clients.... I wasn't sure what that meant, but of course I didn't get called or contacted.. when I asked for clarification the gal at the desk basically dismissed me and said "ok, goodbye" In the competitive service industry when we have choices on our therapy care - when it comes to how you're made to feel and overall experience..... we need more therapists like Janelle.

In long 4 months ago, my lovely bride had a massive stroke, and she has a long road to recovery. One of her neurologists referred her here as part of her care. She needs to wake up the muscles and nerves on her left side, and reduce pain and spasm at the same time. This definitely helps. We pulled up on the east side of the building, and there's a big sign announcing the business. It's not until you get up to the door that you see a tiny little sign saying that the massage clinic is on the other side of the building, and you've arrived at the hair salon side. Evidently, the owner has 2 professional passions she has combined into one enterprise that goes from one side of the building to the other. Since my wife still uses a chair to get around for a while longer, this was pretty frustrating, but the front desk guy realized he hadn't warned us over the phone, and he caught us before we loaded back up to go around the building. (Incidentally, this side of the building qualifies as accessible--but the blackberries and trash do get in the way when you come through the curb cut). Since we had a professional referral, our insurance was all set up in their system and there was no copay. Hitting your out-of-pocket max for the year has its perks! Looks like some other reviewers hit snags with insurance paperwork but that was not the case at all for us. We did some paperwork that took maybe 5 minutes. Dude called us 10 minutes before the appointment to let us know we'd be doing paperwork...what he hadn't done was let us know more than 10 minutes before the appointment that it would help to be early. Thankfully, since we were the only ones in the place, this didn't jack up their schedule (or ours). We worked with an awesome clinician who really knows her stuff and helped loosen up my bride's limbs a ton. She had an easier time walking, moving her arm, flexing her hand, and so on. Better than she's been able to do in several days, actually. We got some great tips about home therapies, too. Now, this is a dark building, inside and out. The hallways are narrow. The furniture is old and rickety. But they play soft music, they're pleasant, and they're organized. Best of all, they know what they're doing, and the therapeutic massage is truly therapeutic. We have at least a dozen visits covered, I think, and we'll use all of them for sure. This really helps.

He made me feel great and as a result enjoyed a week of being able to enjoy my life. After that massage I made more appointments and was disappointed that I couldn't schedule more with this person. He only works early (he had explained this and spoke with disrespect for those who can't get up early and make it to an early appointment). In the week following my appointment I was notified that an early appointment had opened up. I took it. A few days later the receptionist called to say that she has a hard time getting to the office by 9 a.m. on Sundays. She went on to explain that if she isn't there, to just go around to the back because a door will be open and to just come in. When I arrived the office was dark. I knocked. I peered through the window. A light was on in the back of the building. I walked around in the rain. As I entered I was berated by the masseuse because he didn't want me coming in the open back door as I had been instructed. We ended up having a quarrel. I would rather continue living my life in pain than have anyone at this sloppy and dingy business. You will be hapoier going somewhere else.

I often hesitate to buy massage offers at Chiropractic offices because I dont want to feel like I am at a time share presentation to sign up for lengthy back adjustment plans. The main doctor at this office checked me in and was polite, fun and upbeat. He welcomed me to his office, showed me the paperwork to fill out and let me know my massage would begin shortly. He let me know about massage offers in the future and said he would be happy to check if my insurance covers them. He was in no way high pressure and it was clear he really cared about providing the best service possible. The office did not have a bunch of scare tactic posters around saying how much you need their services as well. They are a few posters, but they showed features and benefits of the Chiropractic industry, not scare tactics like so many other offices use. I would highly recommend Seattle Hill Family Chiropractic to others. The staff clearly care about their guests, the doctor is fun and personable and the massage provided by Natalie was relaxing and beneficial (although am sad to hear she is leaving their office soon).

I highly recommend trying cupping also, especially for leg pain. We tried it on my last massage and I have never felt so pain-free so quickly.
