My children were constantly sick, it was disorganized, they couldn't follow directions about my children. My son was bitten and NO ONE told me about it until I asked what happened. Also, the camera system network was overloaded and had serious blind spots that the teachers would hang out in. Even though we are no longer with them I can still access it which says a lot about their security. I probably would have just parted ways and quietly went on our way, my son did learn some things there and did make some friends. However, they informed me two weeks after we left and over two months after the fact that I had missed a payment. The owner refused to return any phone calls to my husband on the matter and they sent it to collections adding over $100 in additional fees to the original balance. After I found the receipt for the week in question they supposedly rectified it with the collection people however they had previously told my husband they couldn't do anything about it once it was in collections. So we can just add lying and misdirection to the heap. No one has offered an apology and instead of addressing my complaints they just deleted my review on Facebook. Both of which would have gone a long way in rectifying this situation and leaving my husband and I with a more complacent view of them.

The daycare is a very personal and small setting (with only to rooms). The class size is small and your child will recieve that individual attention that he/she needs. My son is one years old and he is reciting his ABC's, he knows his numbers to 15, and he knows his colors! The only reason why I gave it four stars was because of how strict they can be. The children can only drink white milk unless you have a doctor statement on file saying otherwise and you have to have your child at the center by the cut off time or the front office will fuss. Overall, this is a really nice daycare facility and I am glad to have put my child here. By the way, I am very picky and I have a nine year old that went to a facility (a popular one at that) and by far I like AHCA the best!

Management has changed recently, and the front office seems to be running more smoothly now (although I wasn't unhappy before). Teacher turnover is probably typical for daycare centers. My children's teachers have changed a few times in the last year. But I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, since they will have numerous different teachers once they start elementary school. If I had one complaint it would be location. I like that they aren't located right on a busy road, but there is an auto repair center right next door, which creates some environmental/air quality concerns. Overall I would recommend the facility.

I had many questions, new Exec Director was so patient. Dana is on top of everything - each classroom, the facility, safety, décor even! Billing as well and she's great with the children and the parents. She answered all my questions ever so patiently - exactly the demeanor you would expect from a place where children play. Our two yr old tried another facility in Naperville over the summer and although I had many friends tell me amazing things....my two year old still cried every time I dropped him off and it just wouldn't taper off after 3 weeks. Now that we are at Knowledge Beginnings he cried the first 4 days, and it tapered off!!! Now he walks in ready to go to "school" with his little backpack on. What a relief! For school age kids they bus before and after from area schools. They offer snacks and the kids do HW there. The prices are better than the safe n sound YMCA program. For little ones they have infant rooms, toddler rooms, preschool rooms, the facility is super clean and very nicely decorated! He comes home singing many new songs and tells us about his day "I played Play-Dough". Very cute. The teachers are great and the directors are awesome with feedback and will help in a constructive way. They offer breakfast, snack, lunch and PM snack. It's not organic life, but that's my only wish list item. It is nice to not have to pack lunch, and they do offer fruits and veggies. The communication is top notch - I am never left wondering what's going on, and if I have questions, I get a timely response. I trust that my daughter's best interests are in mind and that she is safe and healthy while at KB.
