Our Final Review After Nearly Three Years…read more
There are reviews, and then there are thank-you letters.
This is ours.
This year, my son, Sovereign King, graduated from Primrose School of South Gilbert, and I honestly didn't expect saying goodbye to be so emotional. For nearly three years, this school has been one of the most important places in our lives. It has been where my son grew from a curious toddler into a confident little boy who is excited, prepared, and ready to begin kindergarten.
As a father, one of the questions I get asked most often is whether Primrose is really worth the investment. My answer has never changed.
Every single penny.
In fact, if you're a parent reading this and wondering where your child should begin their educational journey, let me save you hours of research. Bring them here. Not just to a Primrose school, but specifically to Primrose School of South Gilbert. In my opinion, they are head and shoulders above every daycare and preschool I've experienced.
The biggest reason isn't the curriculum, the beautiful classrooms, or even the technology--although all of those things are excellent. The biggest reason is the people.
Emily Jones and the incredible teachers and staff have created something that is difficult to describe unless you've experienced it yourself. From the very first day, my son wasn't treated like another student on a roster. He was known. He was encouraged. He was celebrated. On most mornings, he would walk in saying, "Good morning! Pleasure to see you!" and every single person greeted him with the same excitement and genuine affection. Children know when they're loved, and parents know when their children are loved. There was never a single doubt in my mind that Sovereign King was genuinely cared for every day he walked through those doors.
I also want to recognize the new ownership. Ownership changes can sometimes change the culture of a school, but that has not happened here. They have done an outstanding job maintaining everything that has always made this campus special. The school is beautiful, well maintained, welcoming, and professionally operated, but most importantly, they have preserved the culture of excellence that families have come to expect from this location.
One of the things I appreciated most over these last three years is how Primrose partnered with me instead of replacing me. I am a very active father. We read together, practice at home, ask questions, and make learning part of our everyday life. Primrose amplified those efforts. They challenged Sovereign King academically, encouraged his natural curiosity, and helped build his confidence while giving me the tools and communication to continue that learning at home. If you're an engaged parent who wants to be involved in your child's education, this school makes that partnership easy.
Watching Sovereign King grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life. He has become confident, respectful, kind, curious, and genuinely excited to learn. Of course, much of that begins at home, but I can honestly say Primrose helped nurture those qualities every single day. Great schools don't simply teach children letters and numbers--they help shape character, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Then came graduation.
I'll admit something surprised me that day. I expected a cute ceremony with smiling children in little caps and gowns. What I experienced was something much more meaningful. As I watched every child walk across that stage, I realized this wasn't simply about finishing preschool. It was these children's first experience accomplishing something significant and being recognized for it. They learned that hard work deserves celebration, that finishing what you start matters, and that every accomplishment--no matter how small--is worth honoring. In a world where perseverance sometimes feels undervalued, that lesson is priceless. It was one of the most thoughtful graduation ceremonies I've ever attended, regardless of age.
As I reflect on these last three years, I realize that Primrose gave my son far more than an early education. They gave him confidence. They gave him friendships. They gave him wonderful role models. They gave him a safe place to grow, ask questions, make mistakes, and discover who he is becoming. As his father, there is no greater gift I could have asked for.
To every teacher, every administrator, every member of the staff, and everyone behind the scenes who made this experience possible, thank you. Thank you for believing in my son, for investing in him, for celebrating every milestone, and for loving him as if he were one of your own. Those are things a parent never forgets.
Primrose School of South Gilbert will always be part of our family's story. Sovereign King may be moving on to kindergarten, but the foundation that was built here will stay with him for the rest of his life.
From one grateful father to an extraordinary school...
Thank you for helping
