Worst lawyer I've ever experienced. Want some back story? Okay so I called and told her my story over the phone all the details, from 2nd dui out of state case and she assured me what my sentencing would be (illegally promising what it would be) and then months down the road she indicates "I didn't know this was your second dui" ohh really lady? I told you from the beginning it was. I had our conversations documented and recorded. Then she changes her story again ohh "i didn't remember I deal with multiple cases" well yes that may be true but you need to know which case you are working on and talking about when you go to court. You can't mix them up or be an incompetent attorney (which you are beyond incompetent) Mindy went through my case and had me sign to an agreed sentencing then guess what?!?! What I signed to wasn't even the sentencing I was given. So I fired Mindy and then guess what... she scheduled another court date and went in (illegally after she was fired) and then tried to charge me more money and I told her to go back and reverse what she did after she was fired and guess what if I wanted her to do that she wanted more money. She's a con woman. So I spent hours on the phone with probation, CA DMV and the court house. I sent letters and documentation of my inadequate attorney. My probation office knew her by name and said she was absolutely horrible and this is what Mindy does so they worked with me and got me everything I desired from paying a transfer free to transfer my case to where I live, dropping the years of my probation, the courts switched my mandatory jail time to work release then I got it switched to community service where I live. I got the IID in my car dismissed by the courts and DMV for being an out of state resident. Mindy promised it was possible then got me the max sentencing after I fired her inadequate ass I got everything I wanted. I would never recommend her to anyone. She is a bully and would call to yell at you. I took a call from her once with my girlfriend in the room and literally Mindy yelled at me for nearly an hour after I kept saying this isn't getting us anywhere. She said at the 10 minute mark, "and I spent another 10 minutes on this case and continued to yell about it" by the end of the conversation which was her just yelling it was an hour later. Also she left voicemails on my mothers phone than had detailed case information exposing my case and not keeping it client attorney privilege. I'm thinking about suing her for how incompetent and inadequate she is at handling cases. She's lazy! read more

I know you make enough as an attorney but if you would have listened and not talked over me. Also, expected me to know what you should know and hang up on me I would have wired a 25k retainer to you right now. But it seemed like it was a bad time of the month. She just said it was really high which I couldn't believe since i had only taken 1mg 2 hours before. Then at one point I was on either 6 or 8 mg 5-8 year ago. if a 10 mile per hour skim only causes a dent the size of a grapefruit the only reason the other driver or passenger claimed back inquires is because they saw the police doing field sobriety tests right in front of them and they didn't complain about the injury until after they saw the field sobriety tests. They should be done in an area not visible to the occupants of the other vehicle. Plus, I was supposed to receive a pink piece of paper allowing me to drive for 10 days which they never gave me to go to the DMV and file an appeal. She wouldn't tell me how long DUI evidence can be kept, not even a range of possibilities. Wow, where to begin with Mindy McQueen... My girlfriend was fighting a DUI Case in Ventura and we hired Mindy McQueen to represent her. My girlfriend received a DUI for falling asleep at the wheel while being on a medication that was prescribed to her. My girlfriend called Mindy countless times trying to get ahold of her... When we finally reached Mindy, she not only insulted my girlfriend for being...and this is a quote "a junkie" but ended up doing ZERO for my girlfriend and complained that my girlfriend wouldn't answer her calls - which was absolutely ridiculous, since *I* was making half of the calls to Mindy as well.. $5,000.00 later (that was the FIRST half of the payment Mindy wanted) my girlfriend got the same deal the DA offered her, which was everything she was initially charged with. Mindy, in the end, told her that she got what SHE DESERVED. We had to hire ANOTHER lawyer to fix Mindy's mistakes, but by that point she had filed so much paperwork that threw my girlfriend under the bus that the next lawyers could only do so much. However, they did the best they could and were absolutely amazing. If you're thinking about using Mindy McQueen, PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and choose someone else. From my personal experience, Mindy is a terrible DUI lawyer. Don't let her fake confidence fool you. Before she got my case, she had talked to me in a very comforting manner (of course made no promises as it's illegal), but made an impressing that the case was in good hands. She told me I had to pay in full before she would start the case, so I did so. Once she got the money, her attitude completely changed! She was so disrespectful and accused me of micro-managing my case, which was not true and I was merely sending her some more evidence in order to provide her with more information (She could just trash those reports, etc. if she didn't need them!). I swear I didn't even call her once a month, and each time I did she talked in a very disrespectful manner and I was feeling like I had to "defend" myself when talking to her, rather than I had hired her to defend my case! She delayed my hearing for about a year, which was so frustrating. Once the court heard the case she told me I had to go jail and cannot convert it to a work-release, and it was not true. I went to the court myself later on and did convert the case to a work-release. Basically, she lied to me. Mindy got my Ventura case dismissed!!! I came to see Mindy for my case for a unique reason. A friend of mine had been in her building for some other reason, happened to go into Mindy's office because my friend needed a key for the building's bathroom, and Mindy was kind enough to lend her the bathroom key even though my friend wasn't a client or in the building to see Mindy. This occurred a few weeks before I was in need of a criminal attorney, and I was inspired by my friend's experience and Mindy's kindness. At my consultation she spent over an hour talking with me about my case. She was up front and very honest about the expectations I should have regarding the outcome of my case. I was arrested for public intox and resisting arrest. She told me that she would fight for me and do all in her power to advocate on my behalf. After I hired her she remained in constant contact with me and eased my worries and concerns. She went to court twice on my behalf, I didn't even have to go. She communicated the results to me right away. The thing that is her greatest asset, in my opinion, is that she knows how to advocate for her clients. She stuck with it and put in extra time to convince the DA to evaluate the case based on her assessment of the circumstances. Other attorneys I have hired wouldn't have worked as hard as she did. I probably would not have gotten the same results Mindy got for me had I hired another. She knows how to talk well and communicate effectively. She put in countless hours in communicating and negotiating with the DA's office. During the entire time she helped me feel positive and helped me complete all that I was asked to do. I made the BEST decision to hire Mindy McQueen after making the worst decision to drive while impaired. I certainly don't know where to begin, so I will just come out and be completely honest with my situation. I made a horrible mistake, and one night of poor judgment led me into a position I never hope to experience again. I was arrested for DUI and put in jail over night.
