I went in for looking for help with depression, anxiety attacks, confidence, and finding my path to what's next in life. Medicine and talk therapy were not helping. I've researched hypnosis and thought it sounded like an effective way to deal with several issues I struggle with. I read reviews on a variety of different providers and selected Mindzai/Jason. After meeting with him three times for a period of two hours each - I'm very surprised as I go back and read reviews. I found the experience ineffective and quite expensive. The visits consisted more of Jason talking than actual practice. It also felt like he was not prepared - he asked many times if we had already discussed something. I left the third visit frustrated and basically at the same place as the first visit. read more

I came to Jason for several issues. One was drinking too much wine in the evening and have been for over 3 decades. I can easily drink a bottle and a half up to two bottles of wine and sometimes in my life it's been much more. I was skeptical but nothing else has helped so why not give hypnotherapy a try. I've only had one meeting which was last Wednesday. And I have to tell you I'm NOT hyping this up! I can't even look at a glass of wine! I can't even look at the store that I used to buy it. LOL. I came here on a whim, desperate to help relieve my severe anxiety, as well as other mental health issues. I gotta Groupon for the session and decided to give this place a try. Although the session was insightful, I don't think it would help me in the long run like actual therapy has helped. As much as he tried to convince me that hypnosis does work, I honestly don't see it working for me. Perhaps because I don't wanna take three more sessions, but also because it's way too expensive, when I can see my regular therapist with my copay. The session didn't help with my anxiety much and I still don't believe in this type of work to be honest. I'm really not sure how many or few stars to give this place because, while I don't think this is a bad hypnotherapy practice, it didn't do anything for me personally. I just want to write honestly about my experience so that others who are considering this would be aware that it may work for some people but not for everybody. I came here seeking help for a very specific phobia, and the three hypnotherapy sessions I underwent did not even come close to helping alleviate my phobia. I do think that Jason cares about what he does and wants to improve people's lives, and he may even be great at what he does. But I felt like the mostly positive reviews here gave me false hope. I also feel like he does try to upsell you a little bit. When we initially spoke on the phone, he told me that he thought three sessions would probably be enough to alleviate my phobia, perhaps a few more. Then on the third session, when I said that I didn't feel a change, he mentioned that he thought if I took seven sessions my phobia would definitely be gone. I don't really have that kind of money, or the inclination to spend it. read more

When I came in, I was distraught beyond being able to even articulate what I was experiencing mentally, physically, emotionally. I visited Jason at Mindzai Hypnotherapy with the hope of eliminating some unproductive habits, and polishing up some habits I've wanted to develop. For anyone considering hypnotherapy, you should know it's nothing like what hollywood has shown us - at least not with Jason. It's a really comfortable environment and a friendly and supportive dynamic. We spent some time discussing what I wanted to work on so Jason and I both had a full understanding of where we should go with the work. The actual hypnosis is effortless and relaxing. You basically just sit back in the most comfortable recliner imaginable and fall deeper and deeper into relaxation while Jason guides you through the things you're there to work on. You don't really have to actively participate either, just let your mind clear and settle down. After seeing Jason one time I was already more productive with those habits I wanted to work on and had an easier time avoiding the bad habits we addressed. I think an important thing to note is that hypnotherapy isn't just for crisis intervention or cessation of a really damaging lifestyle habit, it can be used to tune up your already productive behaviors and habits.
