I was recently screwed over by a timeshare company (surprise, surprise) and almost ended up owing them over $20,000-30,000. Basically it was a sham contract, written and enforced by shady people, to take advantage of naive young people like myself! Within a week, the timeshare company (who I couldn't get to call me back or send me papers if my life depended on it) has refunded my money completely as well as voided the contract and closed my account. I was in a horrible rear end collision in 2012 ( My first car accident ever at the age of 40 ) I had no idea how to go about things.
